Dammit, I got the worst ending. I destroyed a few districts to level up. Ow well.
You can get the worst one even if you ain't destroyed even a one district. The endings only related to the quantity of people you've killed
0 - the best
1-2 - good
2-5 bad
More then 5 - the worst

I only played first dark souls and still died many times and had to destroy whitechapel for exp and got a bad ending ig i need more experience from 2nd and 3rd game

I finally got the "didn't kill anybody" ending. I swear trying to get that ending drove me mad, now i shall go kill everybody.
@Gregory Smith well actually now that i look back on it it's not that hard to get that ending. Just make good choices, don't kill anyone. I was just super tempted to kill everyone or anyone. And you can bite as many soldiers as you want they don't count.
@Gregory Smith yeah i pretty much played everything on normal. And normal was hard for you? It was alright for me. It really depends on what abilities you choose at the beginning and throughout the game. Once you grab the correct powers the game shouldn't be so hard anymore.

@Gregory Smith oh i killed basically everyone in the hospital first before i killed swansee. (This is when i was just killing everyone so i can max out every abilitie) but if your talking about the good ending you have to turn swansee.

The worst ending shows a really drastic change on jonathan’s view of the world as he becomes a mass murderer.

I love how Jonathan's voice has more emotion in it with the less people he kills, you can really hear the humanity in his voice in the best ending compared to the lifeless monotone voice he has in the worst ending in a playthrough where you choose to kill people. This game is a masterclass!
i disagree
Myrrdin even sounds more hateful in the worst ending's dialogue, whereas in the best one when Jonathan goes to America he sounds sad but proud, like a parent watching a child leave to forge their own path in life
It felt so good though. I'm glad I finished it yesterday.
I wonder if there'll be a sequel to the game... or something similar at least, there's potential in what the developers have done.
Also, I appreciate the fact that they recorded the final 2 lines of the epilogue with 4 different intonations to fit the actual ending, even though the lines are the same.

this game certainly ends in a way that has possibilities for a Sequel, lets say. For one thing, Jonathan does not die at the end of Vampyr. no matter what ending you get (yes even the ones considered to be a "bad ending"), it's not Jonathan that dies. It's Lady Ashbury at worst (with a potential to save her). Also, the "Red Queen" went back to sleep after you won the battle against her but sleep is not death. if she awakens again, you'll be the only one equipped to defeat her. That means the 2nd game could be based around her reawakening.
Other things that could effect a sequel include the fact that Edgar Swansea takes over the Brotherhood of St Paul's Stole IF you kill Usher Talltree. You can also make Edgar an immortal so he can sort of live forever and help you for as long as you both live. Admittedly, both of those things don't happen if you DON'T kill Usher Talltree and DON'T make Edgar a Vampire. but possibilities are there for Edgar's role to continue. There's plenty of options for how a sequel has very real possibilities to continue with some of the key factors from the original Vampyr.

McCullum was badass and noble that's why I gave him gift of immortality, gave had so many good people but few bad people that I killed off and that's why I only got "good ending"

So satisfying to learn that I got the best ending. Cause I'm telling you, this game really pushes you to drink the blood of innocents for that sweet XP. Throughout this whole game I was vastly underleveled and needed to focus 110% even if I fought casual enemies on the street. Hope for a sequel. Thanks for the video.
i legit fought disaster at a lvl 21. Not a pleasant experience.

Even Jonathan's Sister was harder. I think it's because I was using both defensive skills, the best sword in the game, and a shotgun.

I didn't kill anyone my first play through, and I just finished my kill everyone play through. I had no idea there were 4 endings, although they all seem very similar, boiling down primarily to "Elizabeth lives or dies". Still think it's a fantastic game anyone interested should play at least twice
Loved this game ! Took me a while to get it since I heard all the hate on the combat system (not sure why they hate it I enjoyed free aim or targeted aim options that was neat) sadly got the bad ending 😭 but I'm so glad to see there is a ending where they can be together! I hope they make another game just like this the style and feel of it was awesome. This studio puts out AMAZING games !

Yeah I also don't get the hate on the combat system... sure it's not the best ever but far from worst either. The skills are actually useful, the biting mechanic awesome and in general it's a solid combat system. Sure it gets bit repetitive once you find the best skills for you (BTW Max lvl Shadow vail + Max Claw is literally OP, one shotted the Disasters phase 1 🤣) but still I found it enjoyable. You can at times see it is AA game, but there is a lot of ambition in this game and I believe with enough development time to enhance upon the ideas of the first game, sequel could be amazing. Here's to hoping we get to see Jonathan ( Or McCullum 😉) again.
I have feed on some people but not enough to get the dark path. That evil one is pretty epic!

@@Bottom_1999 As i see it, catching rats and suck their blood is a pretty vile thing. Especially for a noble and wealthy doctor. Similar to the behavior of a hugry wild dog. He understands it and feels disgust, but the thirst is stronger. I think that this detail was made perfectly

@Bottom_1999 in my opinion, no. Because when he drinks their blood, he kinda doesn't control himself. He gives up to his inner beast, to his thirst. Then, after it decreases a little, he realizes what he has done. If he said the phrase about thirst before catching a rat, it would feel like a fully conscious decision. That creates a dissonance with his following actions, when he desperately drinks the blood of a rat
Thanks bro! I got the last 3 endings when I played. Have to admit I felt pretty bad when I got the very last one, the “worst ending” even though I enjoyed tearing London apart with my teeth

Just finished the game, i got worst ending, but the way it ends and that lvl 50 is pretty sick, i'm the King Of Vampires, haha.
Tfw none of your districts fell to chaos because you always take care of the citizens, but you killed some cynical nurse and made bunch of vampires so enjoy your bad ending

Nurse Crane never should have blackmailed Lady Ashbury, that was just a move that made me want to kill Dorothy. If you're aiming for the "Not Even Once" achievement then she makes it really hard for you not to kill her cynical, blackmailing self.
My first play is Ignorantly killing clay, then make Nurse Crane a skaal, so for me, bye bye good/best ending. Lets aim for bad to worse ending 😅
@@erdndi Clay's not so bad, if a bit rude. He's probably the first Gang member (of the Wet Boot Boys) you meet, most of them are in The Docks but he's over near Pembroke Hospital when you meet him. He's also literally the introduction to the Embrace feature though you do have the option to release him. When you're doing it for the first time though most people are like "do i want to bite someone? WELL I AM A VAMPIRE! *BITES THEM and regrets the choice when the bad ending happens*
@@stuartd6359 my first play kinda blind, i didn't know there is four ending, i didn't watch/read walkthrough, so there are a lot lost hint too. But since i want to experience all, first play being a vampire is not bad, lot of good skill, and collection too.
@@erdndi there's the FUN factor too. I mean, most people bought Vampyr because we wanted to have fun doing Vampire things, including biting our victims as we feed. It's only at the ending when people start to realise that their actions have effected what happens at the very end of the game. I don't regret embracing people if I am having fun doing it. If i truly do want to see other endings happen then i'll play through the game maybe 3 more times to get the rest and then i'll have had them all.

You didn't directly kill her as an innocent, it only counts if you "embrace". I did the same, and during my playthrough many NPCs ended up dead. 1 was being attacked by Skaals (Woodbead), but this was early in the game and I was weak and frightened, so ran off and didn't return :p. Crane turned into a Skaal so I killed her. Sean Hampton ended up losing control and turning full Skaal which I assume also lead to others in town being turned into beasts by him (Lottie Paxton turned Skaal and Dyson Delaney turned into one of those sewer beast things) so I killed all of them. I ran into Giselle Paxton after that who had become a hunter who shot at me as soon as she saw me, so I was forced to kill her. I still got the best ending.
same here,went what i started to call "a doctor run" for curing everyone,sparing everyone,except those dying and for keeping em amongst us i turned those.
I remember having to farm xp off of a boss for 9 hours straight just to ensure I don’t kill anyone of the npc’s. God that was stressful, but worth it

I always tend to get the good endings on my first play throughs. Looking at the other 3 I'm glad I got the best ending, I really liked it.

The main problem I have is how the game gives you so little xp for killing enemies and helping people that you either have to embrace or do agonizing xo grind to make the game not a pain in the ass

around Halloween i played this and decided to build my Mesmerise Level up to level 5 (you have to make it all the way to where you're given a choice on what to do about the request from Lord Redgrave to turn Aloysius Dawson into a Vampire and then make the decision)... then to embrace everybody in every District of London. I was ready for the "bad ending" that i knew would follow eventually. I was committed to my decision, though.
It's more difficult than you might think. It isn't just an insane feeding frenzy from the start of the game. takes patience to achieve.
First there's just the struggle to survive without embracing anyone until you've progressed the story into Chapter 5. Moving around London where enemies of up to level 35 exist and attempting to survive encountering them. (tip: use SHADOW VEIL a lot).
If you embrace just SOME of the citizens of a District (especially the Pillar) then the entire district can still fall apart and you'll lose massive amounts of XP as the ones you didn't get to embrace are no longer available for you to gain XP from them. Every District has characters of Mesmerise Level 5 in it and they're each worth 5000 XP. you really don't want to lose that much, it will be essential to your growth (and making it to Level 50). If you started embracing people while you were Mesmerise Level 4 or less then the District will fall apart before you embrace the Mesmerise Level 5s.
That's why the wait for not killing anybody until Chapter 5 is important. You can also make a Save point where if you wanted to continue with the "not even once" path you could still not kill anybody including Aloysius Dawson. Both paths are open to you if you make it all the way into Chapter 5.
I agree. Wait until Mesmerize Level 5 to completely clean house. While you're waiting to get to that point in the story to get M5, you can feed on those that have no relationships as to not crash the district. In the mean time as you keep curing people their experience gauge increases. Stay away from Pillar Characters; except for Edgar Swansea and I think you should turn Aloysius Dawson. The reason why I myself chose to go full blown Vampire is because Edgar Swansea and Lady Ashbury caused this catastrophe with the Skal flu virus. Edgar Swansea was a despicable man who used his patients as test subjects and injected them with vampire blood that he stole from Lady Ashbury who was incapable of producing Ekon vampires and could only make zombie vampires like the Skal. They both cost Jonathan his human life as Myrddin randomly chose Jonathan to stop the Skal epidemic. Every one of your patients that you treat in the game is infected with Skal flu and they're showing symptoms from time to time. You're not really saving anyone. All those people either die from Swine Flu, they turn, or get eaten by the Skal. All you're really doing is cheating yourself out of easy experience points and enjoying the game.
I was trying the "dont embrace" path up until dawson, couldnt stand to see him reborn, couldnt do the third option, so i drained him. It was very satisfying.
This ending is so meaningless if you didn't like Elizabeth.

I truly can say the worst ending was the best for me because I felt like yea I may be killing innocents but learning more of each persons story their face values start to just crumble pillars and regular citizens

I just beat this game for the first time last night and boy was it worth it going for the best ending. Wonderful game, wish they'd make a sequel.
I love.... LOVE this game! But I don't really like any of the endings much sadly. I got the "good" ending, but I didn't really like it, simply because I didn't really like Elizabeth. I didn't hate her either she was just kinda. . . meh for me. I called her my "friend" when they asked me and Johnathan still wound up with her. What's up with that? Still a good game. Great one, really. I just wish the choises you made while play it would just open up options on the ending and not push you towards an inevitable automatic one. So I didn't kill many citizens. . . why does that mean I have to love Elizabeth and not just give me the choice to love her?
Yeah I agree, the game is somewhat underrated imo. And yes the Elizabeth romance is kind of inevitable if you're nice I guess :)

So... basically: Good ending = Reid abandoning his family and everyone else he cared about to go on a summer vacation or to stay stuck in the castle for god know how long to find a cure for a woman I had 7 dialogues with. Bad ending = woman I had 7 dialogues with suicides, me murderer brrrr.
The first time I played and heard Reid say "the woman I love" I was like ??????? who???? I only wished the game allowed you to reject her.

I saw some videos of tracks to pass few boring missions, and i could notice i was really above strength and level always 10 levels more minimum... I made a path of an original vampire "and i lost her" i couldn't realize that she fell in love by the good man he was. She barely fed and helped that ancient vampire fed of her blood... Idk if i have the patience to play this again, cause being strong was already anoing to kill with full skills. Without mentioning the boss ending that couldn't be stunned, since my abilities was based on stun. Anyway tks for the video, friend. 🇧🇷

I just finished the game today and got the ending where Jonathan helps Elisabeth find a cure- it made me happy I didn't get the ending where she dies because I'm a sucker for happier endings but thought I was going to see her die XD

I actually just finished this game like ten minutes ago. I got the worst ending according to this video but I actually thought the bad ending is worse cause it says he has " lost his way" and lives an empty meaningless life. And also he betrayed Lady Ashbury. Anyway, I was still disappointed at my ending cause I wanted to remain the good guy with the happily ever after ending but the game was too hard! I needed the damn XP! Aside from that, special shout out to some of the most memorable characters of this game. Love Jonathan Reid and was completely captivated by the timeless wisdom of old Bridget.
Exacly the same here. Just finished. Was playing on harder difficulty, so grind was so real, that there was no way to complete it without killing somebody. I tried to kill only murderous people and spare good ones, and not create new vampires, but well in the end it turns i got the worst ending xD I am only somewhat confused that your father calls you fallen champion, when he says to you before fight with disaster that you are not ready, and you didn't sucked enought blood. Also when you let free firs prey she is somewhat disapoined that you don't feed, soo he should make his mind :D
I completed in hard mode and no embrace. All kills you with one or two hits. That was very hard.
I didn't even know there were 4 endings. I got "the best ending".
Just beat the game on the hardest difficulty and got the best ending. Such a good feeling... My version of Johnathan stayed doctor who vowed to serve people and not to harm them.
I love how I got the best and worst ending on my first and second play through
I really loved this game but I got 2 minor gripes, one being that only the 'important' npcs count towards the endings meaning you could get the best ending and literally have murdered and drained thousands of priwen guards (which still are human even if they're dicks) so the line made me laugh 'I've succeeded in taking no lives.' as it clearly is wrong. of course you could try and run past all priwen but the game wouldn't register and it clearly is not intended to skip all combat.
second one is really minor but there were some inconsistencies in the dialog interactions with npcs and at the ending where he said he's the chosen champion of myrrdin made me chuckle since all the time he'd been fighting myrrdin on the whole chamption business.
oh btw, I got the first ending shown here as I embraced the lady in westend who kept hearing a voice and was looking for rats since it seemed compassionate to me, I liked the touch that she thanked you afterwards. and I drained the hospital director after the kidnapping since turning him seemed more like a curse to me and letting him suffer his wounds seemed cruel so yeah...

There's a big difference in killing someone innocent and defend your life.
Man am I crazy or were the Guard of Priwen not even dicks? Aren't most of them just regular people/fresh recruits trying to save their home from an obvious vampire/skal crisis? I don't even buy the self-defense argument that much. 90% of the time you fight them, they're just chilling at their checkpoints around the city and very respectfully ask you to turn around. I felt so terrible too whenever you killed one of their comrades and the others reacted in horror or anger.

Crowned Pleb They have no authority to order you around, and then proceed to try to light you on fire if you disobey them. Fuck the Guard of Priwen, I enjoy eating them every time I play through this game. The “worst” ending is the only one that makes sense.
I never embraced anyone on my first playthrough. I wanted a challenge so I decided not to kill any NPC.
Turns out that it was a good idea since after beating the game, I learned that the Blood Queen becomes more powerful the more you embrace people.

Got the good ending. Hated it. Saw these and realised I would've much preferred any of the bad endings, simply so I wouldn't be forced in a romance with Lady Ashbury.
I plan to embrace the darkness and get the "worst" ending. At least the main character isn't simping as much in that one. Plus he has the wineglass of blood, which invokes Castlevania's Dracula "what is a man" meme.
It was a great game although leveling up becomes tiresome since you need to heal every district(maybe I leveled too often). I got the "worst" ending even though I made all the good choices in the story.

Exceptional game! I just completed it! I had no intention of playing a vampire game and not killing anyone. I found the combat ridiculously hard and wasn't gonna play the full game as a weak and vulnerable vampire. I killed eight people in total and got the BAD ending but I was expecting MORE of a difference between the endings so - I regret NOTHING! Lol!!!

I just finished this game a second time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. But cant help but go see one glaring problem. I find that simply the amount of people you embrace as being the reason for the different endings is not good enough. It should've been based on both embracing, and important choices within the story. I understand it's obviously a small company but one can wish

The worst ending. Feels great. I killed every single person and when my beloved Elisabeth died in those flames I went on a killing spree of joy and madness. I am no longer just a young Ekon for I am Death himself.

Me too. I'm not even sure if you can make it to Level 50 while doing a "Not Even Once" playthrough where you never Embrace anybody. It's the massive amount of XP from Embracing people (who you discovered all Hints for) that pushes your level up and up until you're UNSTOPPABLE.
@@stuartd6359 not even close! I done most of the side quests and didnt really avoid any encounter and I only got to lv25.. those lv 35+ priest were a pain in the ass!

I got the best ending
The only "bad" things I did were:
-fry the nurse's brain, since I couldn't bring myself to kill her (in her human form), but also couldn't take a risk of her revealing me being a vampire
-let the vampire monk be, causing him to eventually turn and thus not only losing a pillar but also causing more casulties
-created two more vampires...though one only was to save my friend Edgar, and the other is some rich guy who might at the very least build a wall for safety
Just ended the game on the hard mode trying to kill as less as possible. Got the worst ending... But I like it! Fits the story very much! It has been long time since game has such a disgusting combat and such a wonderful plot!
I hate how you cant play after the ending because of all my hard work but it also feels good to think it actually ends there no more playing the story has ended and it cannot continue it makes you feel good if you got the good ending i got the good ending on my first and only run of the game noone embraced all districts i tried to keep healthy
That last ending is the best ending in my book.

Flawed as this game was, I still had fun with it, and I am glad all these endings have something to offer. The best ending is satisfying, the good one heartwarming, the bad one tragic, and the worst one really badass in an evil way. Regardless of the path you took, I hope you found it... worthwhile.
So am I the only fool that chose the hard difficulty at the beginning?
back when I played there were no difficulty choices ;]
This is the right choice. It forces you to make hard choice as it should be. But the last boss was a nightmare so I had to embrace 2 more 5ks to get 34 lvl... then I could defeat it. I think it is literally impossible on the hard difficulty get any other ending except the worst one. But this is fine with me.
@@sirmilord My brother in law did it and got the not even once trophy on hard. He said it was hell though. Near the end you geg two shotted or one shotted by everything. He only levelled up health and stamina, rage ult, blood barrier, bullets and serums. Basically just run around dodging until your barrier is up then get a few hits in, use guns a lot as your main damage dealers if you have bullets ofc, then when the bosses spawn minions you use rage ult. Spam serums to keep you alive. That's basically all he did. It sounds boring as fuck but I suppose its very efficient for playing with a weak character with limited skills.
I love the way he grabs her face it’s a mix of force and care it really shows who he has become and what he values.
I got the bad ending bc I decided to kill Swansea bc I thought it was gonna be treated like a mercy kill. But then it wasn't and then everyone in the hospital died bc it dropped the bar down to serious. But like even if I had left him to die I'm not sure it would have fixed anything. I didn't wanna turn him bc that seemed like the wrong decision. Idk that decision just annoys me because the only answer that seems right got me the bad ending. I had only killed like 4 people before that point
It was a tough decisions as well for me. I really didn’t want to turn anyone since we were responsible for Mary’s second death.
But after thinking about how Sean Hampton turned into a skal and how the area turned shit when he died, I thought that
A - Perhaps Dr Swansea made a genuine mistake
B - Who would take care of the hospital when he’s gone?
While I do think making him your progeny might cause some trouble for the future, for now I think it might be the right decision.
To summarise, I let him go to contemplate whether being turned is a gift or a punishment, I didn’t turn any civilians as I’m a doctor first and don’t want to be the cause of more pain. I ended up with the best ending.
@@thestudentsofscience2660 it also didn't help that I had already eatten 3 people at Pembroke bc I didn't realize I was gonna be put in such a tough spot with Swansea. I guess the game did what it said it was gonna do tho I was punished for my lack of knowledge
I'd like to play a game about William Marshalls adventures
So I embraced maybe like 5 people no districts went hostile at any point and I got the “bad” ending. Not the worst but not the good or best so I’m confused.
Best ending = embrace no npcs, not even one. Good ending = 1-4 npcs embraced. Bad ending = more than 4 npcs embraced. Worst ending = kill EVERYONE.
I'm beating myself right now because near the end of the game I hadn't embraced anyone yet so I embraced Nithercott, that random poet in Whitechapel, just to see what it would be like, and I lost the opportunity to get the best ending, for no reason at all.

I ate cox at the start. Realized I fucked myself pretty quickly. So I made point to eat the whitechapel priest as a "I can't get the best ending and this guy's a diiiick." I think I only ate 4 people total and got the good ending.
@@kiroropupper3914 Same here. I only ate Cox, the real estate bastard guy, the Indian thief from the hospital and the fake priest who burns people. I never touched even one decent person. I did want to eat Seymour though, and the gang woman. Didn't do it because I trusted that motherfucker Sean and he went berserk and destroyed the district, and I didn't want it to collapse.
I got the good ending in which you stay locked with Elizabeth in the castle till you find a cure, but I never cured a single citizen, forced nurse Crane to leave Pembroke, killed Sean, turned Dawson and McCollum into vampires, let Swansea die and got the anarchy in the UK achievement! Score!
A sequel set in NYC would be cool

So I got the bad ending but do not know what I did to Elisabeth for her to say I betrayed her? I cannot remember if Johnathan never promised not to drink blood? But their written relations ship was weird my Johnathan behaved normal around her and then suddenly they called each other dear and love, I didn't felt like he had much chemistry with Elizabeth, I shipped him more with Geoffrey :D
I just find it funny that if the bad ending I got was because I embraced some citizens? In that case its funny because we have to kill hundreds of Guards and Skals but a few citizens (and I killed only killers) make you lose the good ending. I spared Dorothea, cured Sean, Mesmerized Aloysius, spared Geoffrey and embraced Edgar...well anyway I loved the game it was awesome and I hope there will be a sequel. Even if it doesn't look like it :(

Back when i had to fight mary i think i killed the priest to get blood, does that count as an actual kill?
hah, it may as well count, i'm not sure :O I didn't think it does tbh. After all you can bite quite a lot of people in gameplay...
I’m a year later and same. But it’s apparently because I didn’t kept all the pilars alive (I refused to turn Aloysius Dawson and he died for natural causes)
@@SerafiaRavenclaw That's not it, I let him die (charm him) and got the Not Even Once achievement. If you bite the priest during the Mary fight it counts as an embrace and you won't get the achievement (supposedly). In my play through Mary killed the priest during our fight.
Finally got the best ending but dear God Dorothy fight in that run almost make me smash my keyboard... The poison dmg when you are underleved is torture

Pretty happy I got the "worst" ending. Loved Ashbury all the way up until the ending, she's too dramatic.
I really like the worst ending its badass . but its sad to see lady ashburry dies . I really liked this game such a good game cant wait for a sequel or prequel .
I got the bad ending but only killed a couple citizens, also she mentions how could I trust you when you betrayed me? What exactly is she referring to? I don’t remember betraying her at all and even took her advice when dealing with ascalon so idk what she's going on about lol I probably just forgot
If you kill nurse crane she considers it betrayal.
