Medical school breaks you down, the debt, no-sleep, clerkship, the pressure to score high in the USMLE, 80+ hour work weeks, not being in control of what you actually become, residency, bullying in the profession, mean professors and attendings literally saying ur not a good fit, low pay in the beginning, the competitiveness....Trust me, all medical students go in with passion, and slowly one by one people lose hope because we're not treated like humans. Canadian nurses take the nclex too! Getting my result was a life changing moment!
We all knew Dr. Siobhan would match into her top choice. Big congrats!!
Who else knew before she clicked refresh she was gonna get what she wanted. I mean come on just look at her intelligence and personality. I bet she was in the top 10 for all of the schools.
Your enthusiasm is great, and I'd love you to be my doctor. You're a sweetheart and you've already got most doctors beat with your caring nature
Ok, I just legit got teary-eyed. You deserve every bit of this moment and I'm so happy for you. Congratulations!! Looking forward to seeing where your journey takes you.
I was just diagnosed with EDS and possibly MG and just seeing someone so freaking excited to help others and do something good in the world so so refreshing!!!!
A rheumatologist changed my life. At 40 years old, after a life time of people not knowing why I had some many weird random issues, she diagnosed me with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Although there is no cure, at least now the treatments and management are treating the correct disease. And I finally have answers that make actual sense.
I pray God heals you!

Love you Siobhan!!!
Congrats, I’m so happy for you!!
I left a comment when you were working in the icu about how my mother passed away in the icu at Victoria hospital in London from vasculitis.
You replied and left such a nice comment about the difficulty of vasculitis and it was really nice to read.
You make an amazing doctor, and your patients are lucky to have you treating them.
Thanks again and I’m so happy for You!
I'm sorry for your loss!
Professor R. Chaos I’m sorry for your loss ❤️

I have no idea what this video is but I’m soooo happy for you girl!! I felt this
Med Student Siobhan: did you do it?
Siobhan: Yes
Med Student Siobhan: what did it cost?
Siobhan: Lots of smiles and enthusiasm.
250k debt
@@irene.5798 But almost a 233k salary if she keeps it going
Bless you Siobhan, your enthusiasm is adorable...That high-pitched "dewwwwwww" squeal! Awwwww.
Congratuations and well deserved.
I am literally crying 😭 my heart was pounding watching this haha. I'm in the same boat rn with becoming a Medical Lab Scientist! I'll find out my match in December ❄️. I'm soooo happy for you! ❤️❤️❤️
same i cried too lol
Ive watched several of her videos and love her energy. She is positive but not to the point of annoying and is proud of her accomplishments, but still has others that might not have been so fortunate in the front of her mind. I wish more people were like her.
Canadian Algorithm: Matches you to the best school
UA-cam Recommendation Algorithm: Am i a joke to you?
Imagine if they would use the UA-cam algorithm for this, she would end up in janitor school in Ukraine
@@pfankuch7497 You have to make it sound fancy, though. Like, The Ukraine College of Custodial Arts.
@@pfankuch7497 or clickbaity like "You would NOT BELIEVE YOUR MATCH (going to Ukraine) ***STORYTIME***" 😂
@@andrear6566 Getting matched (GONE WRONG!!)
Aw man, I have fibromyalgia and I would LOVE to have you as my rheumatologist, but I’m in the USA. I’m excited for your future patients!!

I cried happy tears for you it’s just so nice to see someone this happy about their career. I’m proud of you 💜
having so much anxiety i live my whole life with uncertainty. it’s really interesting to see people like her who don’t do anything with uncertainty (like she said with her violin) tackle an uncertain situation. but the relief after finding out you got the specialty you’re meant to be in is amazing!! congratulations!!
what video does she discuss her career uncertainty in? I'd love to watch it!
This was me when I found out I passed NCLEX to become an RN. Definitely nerve wracking!

I'm a second year medical student and I cried when you got the news I hope I get the same later in life when it's my turn 😇
Honestly I don't think I've been so genuinely happy for a stranger before!! You deserve all the best things in the world!! You are truly the kindest human being on this platform. ♥️
I literally started crying. I’m so happy for you!!! You deserve this moment. So excited to see this new chapter unfold!!!!
Congrats Violin MD! As a rheumatology fellow myself here in England (we call it registrar), you’ve definitely made the right choice!
It’s all the things how you’ve described it and more! All the best!
I love how excited she gets. Sooo happy for her. Rock on girl.
I'm so happy for you you're an inspiration!! I'm 11 and I want to be a pediatrician because of you and your vlogs! Keep doing what you're doing!;
you can just tell she has the kindest heart awe im happy for her
I would give anything to make my parents proud of me the way I imagine this ladies parents are proud of her. Beautiful, talented, clever, happy and just generally a nice person. Well deserved and very happy for you 😍
Me too, im afraid it’s too late now though :( but I’m so happy for her! :)
This kind of reminds me of the sorting hat moment in harry potter.. congrats on getting sorted into your favourite 'house' hehe
Sioban I’ve been following you since day 1 and i’m so thrilled for you. To be honest never would I have imagined you could choose that kind of field I though you could have been like me, I’d go for trauma. If only I could turn back time...I’d be a doctor in the ER 100%.
I wish you all the best...here in Milan we’re grounded for this terrible coronavirus and who knows how it will go. We’re in our fourth week lockdown and we’re appreciating now a veeeeery shy flattening of the curve but very very little. We’re in lockdown until mid April but I believe we’ll continue to go on.
have a good day girl 🧡🧡🇮🇹🇮🇹
