I would reach out and check with them as to whether you can access local cameras over the local network, while you are also telling the box to use cellular as the network for the internet connection. There seems to be some discrepancy in their literature with regards to that.
You purchase an NDI license to activate it on that device. So each camera, and the YoloBox each need their own license activated. Once activated, that license turns everything on - so all three inputs and the output are activated with the YoloBox license.
Great video - do you have one for the OBSBOT, NDI, ATEM Mini and Stream Deck? We have all these and I’m trying to figure out the BEST way to connect these all together…
My set up is a Predator computer, I use VMix, and a Rodecaster. Would the toolbox ultra do it all? When I can reduce my equipment and still have the same quality?
Each of those items has advantages over a YoloBox, and a YoloBox has advantages over your current setup. You can indeed reduce your equipment load, but yoru current setup is more powerful and more flexible. Take, for instance the roadcaster- it has audio limiters and processing that the Yolobox does not have. So if you're looking for a nice pfat punch podcast sound, you're still gonna need the Rodecaster. Etc.
@@anthonyburokas7930 Thanks so much for your feedback and encouragment. Have you done a vid on how to get the proper settings on both the Rohdecaster and the Rhode wireless go's? My learning curve of 2 years has improved, but I still make my mistakes for lack of unerstanding. Thank you once again.
I have not had Rode provide a Rodecaster for review yet. And I can't afford to buy every gadget out there, so I reply on the manufacturers to provide review units so I can get my hands on them for 30 days or so.
Great overview but I am curious if you can also confirm that on you YBU does the network you connect the NDI cameras on need to have a connection to the internet? I believe the is a bug in the license check which needs internet to complete other wise you can see the cameras listed and add them from the network but if there is no internet the picture never comes up... I just get a blue shutter icon.... Very frustrating esp when trying to use monitor mode. If the router has internet they load just fine. Also does not matter if I have a sim in the YBU, the router the cameras connect is what has to have it.
Two things - to "activate" you license, the device needs to be connected to the internet, this was also the case for Panasonic camcorders I had to activate years ago. Once activated, NDI devices do not need a connection to the internet to be available to other devices locally. Your LAN does not need an internet connection at all.
@@StreamTeknologySo in testing a mevo and a tail air since the mevo is exhibiting the same behavior it should not be an activation issue. Also replacing the YBU with a laptop on the same private network I can load the NDI camera into OBS while the YBU only shows the aperture icons. So if you can test I would love to know if it is my YBU or a issue across them all.

Great explanation video! I wish I had know the quality of the video on a cropped or zoomed image, as it isn’t very good quality. On the OBSBot Tail Air.
@@IEBAcommunications I saw that, that is good! I figured it wouldn’t have the specs to do NDI. Happy to hear, that might keep some from feeling like they need to upgrade.
You don't have an NDI license - the DEVICE has a license to activate NDI. If you buy a YoloBox Ultra, OBSBOT Tail Air, other professional PTZ capable of NDI, you pay for the license to activate it for that Device. That's what the NDI licensing group requires. If you buy three OBSBOT Tail Air cameras, and want to activate NDI, you need to buy 3 licenses- one for each camera. Activating the license on the Ultra activates all the NDI capability - multiple NDIcamera inputs and NDI program out. If you don't need or use NDI then you don't have to pay for a license you won't be using..
Awesome video , do I have a question do you have to have a tablet in order to run the osbot through ndi to the yolo box ultra ? For example ; open the osbot camera out the box and hooking it up to the ultra

Quick question how do you get audio from multiple cameras connected to the ultra ? I want to buy one for my channel and have about 5 cameras to use , I am just unsure of how to get synced audio from all of them to the yolobox or if there’s something I am missing

The Yolobox and the OBSBOT both require the purchase of a separate NDI license, which is fairly common in the industry. Mevo Start cameras include the NDI license with the purchase of the camera.

@@sibertiger17 AFAIK, the Mevo Starts still include NDI without a separate charge. The YoloBox requires a single activation for NDI on the device, it doesn't matter how many cameras are used. I believe the Atomos NDI capability is primarily converting one input to NDI output. Not multiple NDI inputs.
Tell me, is it possible to connect an audio card to it via type-c?
