It’s done in 2s as well, and people even do it on 3s running an ISO post scorer with 2 on the wings or in corners. Even pure lockdowns and bigs still getting thrown on the ground is a broken mechanic. It should be fixed, end of story. If they had takeover or did it more rarely ok, but every play???

The clothing in 2K is beyond trash it is too expensive and most of all. You will never want to wear it. In my career the NPC still don't know how to react to a screen they will see me give them a screen and then call for another player to get them a screen this was a problem in the last game. I used to love playing my career but now it is extremely boring.

Like Blake Griffin for instance dude been in every 2k since 2k12 or 13 but he didn't want his likeness used with 2k25 so we won't get him as a myteam card or on historic rosters if they open the servers they'd have to pay him for each individual 2k that his likeness is in or strike a deal with the retired players association to use those player likenesses across all the past games versus each individual one

Another issue you can have 99 driving dunk with 92 strength and the game will still change your dunk animation to a layup.. the game forces you to put the dunk takeover even if you have 99 driving dunk

I loved 2k25 up until November. They absolutely ruined defense by nerfing the steals. Arguably this year defense can be just as fun if not more fun than playing offense. Now defense is simply not fun to play when you don't get rewarded for making good plays.

99 Block is insanely broken… And not in a good way. I have a 6’9 Sf with 85 Interior, 91 Perimeter, 99 Block…. I dont have the best or the most elite defense but im not a scrub and I know how to play stick defense with my build. But it’s so cringe that when im playing great/ good defense and im in front of the ball handler the ENTIRE possession and as soon as he decides to rim rum ( STRAIGHT INTO MY BODY ) and I get a what looks like a flagrant foul in park 🙃😐! HOF Pain Patroller and Legend High Flying Denier, and I get more flagrant fouls than I see in the actual NBA 🫠

Same. It’s not even just shooting, everything about 24 is just better from a gameplay standpoint. I almost never go back to the previous 2k, and 24 is not my favorite by any means but it’s miles better than 25 in every aspect of gameplay, and I mean literally every aspect.

Ok I’m glad we can talk about this. Sports titles for whatever reason have added rubber banding to the game (Mario kart coding). I noticed it a while back in madden but it started in 2k23 and only got stronger since. Remember in 2k23 if you weren’t spreading the ball around or if everyone wasn’t involved on offense you’d start shooting worse. They’ve just been testing out rubber banding in different ways and hoping we wouldn’t notice
It’s always been a thing imo, since 2k13 I can remember “third quarter comebacks” being a thing. Whenever you’d be killing your opponent your team would forget how to play ball in the third quarter, and the other team would be lights out.😂

There's literally no reason in the universe for why my player can jump to the rafters for a board on one end of the court, but then can't get 2 inches off the ground for a board on the other end. They don't want to do the work to balance builds better, so they split rebounding to make bigs spend crazy attribute points if they want to be able to rebound on both ends.

I must say I’m having a lot of fun season 3. I’ve lost 2 of my last 30 games this season. That being said the rng is still absimal and not only did I lose a game bc of it I probably won 1 or 2 bc it happened to other team. If you shoot bad 3-4 games in a row it’s not rng your bad but for some of us it sucks shooting lights out 4-5 games straight to have a shitty game game 6 then 2 more goods followed by a terrible one and mediocre one. To finally be able to stabilize after that and streak again
I kinda like it. In a bad month Steph has out of 15 games 7 bad ones (often 2-3 in a row), 3 mediocre and 5 good ones. That's 3pt shooting in a nutshell it loses you games you should win and wins you games you should lose but overall it's the second best shot in the game.

My personal issues -(huge one) can be playing defense and a pass will make you sag off -can be playing well then random things happen to make you lose -inconsistent meter especially when rhythm getting the red - players with 75-80 3pt rating shooting better than 90+ percentage wise I stopped playing 2k after i think 19. Then tried again on 23 and didn't like it. Heard this was good and bought 3 weeks after release. Finally found a good shot and then they patched it. So now with a 94 3pt i have like q 30% make percentage and i have great reflexes. This game is ridiculous and I wish they would come out with something realistic with more gamerime movements so people can enjoy it better!!!

I’ve held the same opinion with 18 and 21 as the undisputed worst and second worst ever, but 25 is battling for that title now. I think it’s worse than 18 from a strictly gameplay perspective. If 18 is the MJ of Trash, then 25 is the Lebron of Trash. It’s definitely debatable.

Contest system is the worst and I know it was gonna be when they took out the percentages to justify their BS 6. People will still say we’re complaining even with proof 7. RNG 8. The biggest finesse in 2k is Gatorade. If you don’t buy it then your player will play like trash especially for bigman. Then it cost 10,500 Vc for 10 games and by the end of the 10 games all you have is the same 10,500 to just keep re buying them
i’m having a blast, only ones who don’t like the game are the ones who don’t touch grass or play other games. these games are made for people who get on to play for a couple hours not people dedicating they whole life to, if you play the game for 24 hours a day, your going to run into more errors than any other people.

There needs to be a reward for the time investment of learning and actually getting good at the game. AKA a skill gap. That is the same with any video game. I'm not going to hop on call of duty (I don't play that game) and expect to win consistently or just automatically be good at the game, because I know I don't play it. So I'm not going in with the expectation of RNG kicking in and predetermining the outcome of matches for me so that I can feel like I'm actually a skilled player when I'm not. I thought the whole point of video games, especially in the sports genre which by definition should be COMPETITIVE, is that in order to win consistently and become skilled at the game you have to put time into learning and practicing... There's no point in playing a game that you're literally just as likely to lose to someone who can only invest 2-3 hours a week into playing as you are to someone who spends A LOT of time on the game. It's a lose-lose for everyone and takes the fun out of playing. When you take out the competitive aspect and replace it with this much RNG the product is no longer enjoyable, I'd argue for players of all skill level. Nobody wants this.

Here’s my issue…they say more realistic but with an 85 ball handle a realistic nba basketball player wouldn’t dribble the ball out of bounds…realistically a big with 90 pass accuracy wouldn’t give a pass animation down the court out of bounds…a 95 steal lock wouldn’t jump to tip a pass and not grab it…a glass cleaner with 95 standing dunk wouldn’t lay the ball up on the back of the backboard getting an out of bounds…these are issues that they don’t address that have been going on since 2K22….
Went back to 2k24 and man the ability to defend in the paint is next level. The AI ability to hit wide open shots is also much better. NO RNG is also a good thing...only thing that keeps me playing is the cap breakers.

It’s done in 2s as well, and people even do it on 3s running an ISO post scorer with 2 on the wings or in corners. Even pure lockdowns and bigs still getting thrown on the ground is a broken mechanic. It should be fixed, end of story. If they had takeover or did it more rarely ok, but every play???

They control your jumpshot timing,green window size , recovery speed, contest strength, EVERYTHING. Your attributes and badges are just a distraction to give you the illusion of control so you keep blaming yourself instead of the game. This is exactly why you get PUNISHED for doing the only thing that is within your control (Quitting). They want you to experience all the frustration and pain they set you up for so that you keep spending money on builds and boosts over and over. Mike Wang and Ronnie are nothing but fall men they have 0 power or say so. They even hinder your freedom of speech if you are one of their paid celebrity or influencer pawns that’s why they call them (influencers) and recently rebranded it as (game-makers) to make it easier to blame anyone but them including yourself. I dont have the best or the most elite defense but im not a scrub and I know how to play stick defense with my build. But it’s so cringe that when im playing great/ good defense and im in front of the ball handler the ENTIRE possession and as soon as he decides to rim rum ( STRAIGHT INTO MY BODY ) and I get a what looks like a flagrant foul in park 🙃😐! HOF Pain Patroller and Legend High Flying Denier, and I get more flagrant fouls than I see in the actual NBA 🫠

Ok I’m glad we can talk about this. Sports titles for whatever reason have added rubber banding to the game (Mario kart coding). I noticed it a while back in madden but it started in 2k23 and only got stronger since. Remember in 2k23 if you weren’t spreading the ball around or if everyone wasn’t involved on offense you’d start shooting worse. 2k2011 you can still create your own team and player OFFLINE and looks better than 2024!! Buy physical media only. This is why only play offline.

@@Newyorkdrillpage part of this bullshit could be solved if they would quit being retarded, and just combine both rebounding stats into 1 attribute. There's literally no reason in the universe for why my player can jump to the rafters for a board on one end of the court, but then can't get 2 inches off the ground for a board on the other end. Dumb as shit, and lazy on their part. They don't want to do the work to balance builds better, so they split rebounding to make bigs spend crazy attribute points if they want to be able to rebound on both ends.

I must say I’m having a lot of fun season 3. I’ve lost 2 of my last 30 games this season. That being said the rng is still absimal and not only did I lose a game bc of it I probably won 1 or 2 bc it happened to other team.
If you shoot bad 3-4 games in a row it’s not rng your bad but for some of us it sucks shooting lights out 4-5 games straight to have a shitty game game 6 then 2 more goods followed by a terrible one and mediocre one. To finally be able to stabilize after that and streak again
I kinda like it. In a bad month Steph has out of 15 games 7 bad ones (often 2-3 in a row), 3 mediocre and 5 good ones. That's 3pt shooting in a nutshell it loses you games you should win and wins you games you should lose but overall it's the second best shot in the game.

@@Kev_Kashthe game doesn't want you to lose it just doesn't care. It is simply normal variance. It still has video game like make percentages and generally supports a "homerun mentality" on offense and defense which already takes away from other aspects of the game of basketball.
My personal issues
-(huge one) can be playing defense and a pass will make you sag off
-can be playing well then random things happen to make you lose
-inconsistent meter especially when rhythm getting the red
- players with 75-80 3pt rating shooting better than 90+ percentage wise
I stopped playing 2k after i think 19. Then tried again on 23 and didn't like it. Heard this was good and bought 3 weeks after release. Finally found a good shot and then they patched it. So now with a 94 3pt i have like q 30% make percentage and i have great reflexes. This game is ridiculous and I wish they would come out with something realistic with more gamerime movements so people can enjoy it better!!!

Driving to the paint just for someone from the 3 point line warp to you and steal the ball is absolutely ridiculous. That has happened to me multiple times and they STILL have not fixed it.

I’ve held the same opinion with 18 and 21 as the undisputed worst and second worst ever, but 25 is battling for that title now. I think it’s worse than 18 from a strictly gameplay perspective. If 18 is the MJ of Trash, then 25 is the Lebron of Trash. It’s definitely debatable.
I’m just gonna list a few things
1. Very late , very early glitch
2. 2k purposely keeps people in the game , you can do everything right and 2k still make you lose
3. Spamfense , people spam with no adrenaline and still get the steal , time after time after time
4. Dunk meter? Trash , save your contact dunks and VC
5. Contest system is the worst and I know it was gonna be when they took out the percentages to justify their BS
6. People will still say we’re complaining even with proof
7. RNG
8. SBMM nobody wants to sweat EVERY SINGLE GAME , I don’t mind playing comp, but I gotta deal with 99 perimeter, 99 steal , 93 strength , every game while people spamming all game long (im a guard)
I can go on and on? Game is trash 😭🤦🏽♂️ and I have an 80+ win percentage in all modes , proving grounds , rec, park, etc.

The biggest finesse in 2k is Gatorade. If you don’t buy it then your player will play like trash especially for bigman. Then it cost 10,500 Vc for 10 games and by the end of the 10 games all you have is the same 10,500 to just keep re buying them

i’m having a blast, only ones who don’t like the game are the ones who don’t touch grass or play other games. these games are made for people who get on to play for a couple hours not people dedicating they whole life to, if you play the game for 24 hours a day, your going to run into more errors than any other people.

There needs to be a reward for the time investment of learning and actually getting good at the game. AKA a skill gap. That is the same with any video game. I'm not going to hop on call of duty (I don't play that game) and expect to win consistently or just automatically be good at the game, because I know I don't play it. So I'm not going in with the expectation of RNG kicking in and predetermining the outcome of matches for me so that I can feel like I'm actually a skilled player when I'm not.
I thought the whole point of video games, especially in the sports genre which by definition should be COMPETITIVE, is that in order to win consistently and become skilled at the game you have to put time into learning and practicing... There's no point in playing a game that you're literally just as likely to lose to someone who can only invest 2-3 hours a week into playing as you are to someone who spends A LOT of time on the game. It's a lose-lose for everyone and takes the fun out of playing. When you take out the competitive aspect and replace it with this much RNG the product is no longer enjoyable, I'd argue for players of all skill level. Nobody wants this.

It used to be rewarding in old 2ks even when you lost, you know it was cause the other team is better. In this game, you lose sometimes cause the game was favoring the other team

This isn’t the worst 2k of all time… yall forget about how bad 18 was. People are just following the echo chamber of a lot of negative creators in the community. Is it perfect? Hell no? Is it the worst? Far from it. It has its issues but it’s not that bad. People just have to learn how to deal with the movement system.
Here’s my issue…they say more realistic but with an 85 ball handle a realistic nba basketball player wouldn’t dribble the ball out of bounds…realistically a big with 90 pass accuracy wouldn’t give a pass animation down the court out of bounds…a 95 steal lock wouldn’t jump to tip a pass and not grab it…a glass cleaner with 95 standing dunk wouldn’t lay the ball up on the back of the backboard getting an out of bounds…these are issues that they don’t address that have been going on since 2K22….

Went back to 2k24 and man the ability to defend in the paint is next level. The AI ability to hit wide open shots is also much better. NO RNG is also a good thing...only thing that keeps me playing is the cap breakers.
It was all downhill after 2k16.
