Rockstar declined to move forward with GTA Online mode Cops n’ Crooks in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. And let’s be real-true supporters of you or this movement dont say shit like that so just ignore em. I was a die-hard Madden fan until 2019, but I stopped buying and playing it altogether. Remember when ESPN produced Playmakers, which was an amazing fictional show that used real things that happened in the NFL to make a highly rated and incredible work of fiction, and the NFL threatened to pull their license from ESPN if they didn't cancel their highest rated show? There was no universe where Amazon was going to be honest about the NFL's flagship game.
LOL! Bro, NFL literally already has a deal with Amazon! Why would you think they'd jeopardize that?? You should never let anyone use your material without seeing the "final cut" of it first before it's released to the public!!
I bought the MVP bundle when I bought CFB 25, just to have Madden for when I moved my RTG player to Madden. I decided when Madden came out to play it and give it a run. I played it for about 5 mins (about 1 offensive drive into starting a new franchise mode to be honest) and shut it off, removed it from my console, and went right back to CFB. Its depressing to see where Madden has come that it is completely unplayable for a casual who does ZERO MUT at all. Very frustrating. CFB is great though and a great fix for a football game, but would love another company to come make a fun NFL game.
CFB 25 isn't an exception it's going to go down the drain with Madden as well. I'm not part of the Madden Creator Community per se, but I made a one off video being critical of the Madden Franchise and as a result I also signed a similar waiver for A&E. I asked them what specifically because I made an edgy joke at the end of the video for comedic effect, and wanted to make sure the hit piece wasn't against me, and they definitely framed it as a hit piece against EA and Madden, citing a 20 second segment where I was critical of the laziness of the developers because of the lack of competition. I kind of forgot about it because I signed the release at the end of August. Then I saw this video, and instantly remembered the email exchanges. I went to Amazon Prime to watch the first episode, where they used a clip of my face, (which is fine, I didn't come off bad and I know what I signed up for) but it kind of felt a little slimy how they made me feel like they were on our side of the argument, used our clips, then made a puff piece for EA where we kinda seem like the bad guys and ungrateful for this amazing feat of video game engineering. I'm only one episode in, so I will update this once I've seen more, but I too have mixed feelings for sure!

Amazon Prime is hosting weekly NFL games and is now pushing for island games like the Black Friday game, and we thought the doc would be critical? They would never risk pissing off the NFL so that was never going to happen.
It’s infuriating that they obviously watched your vids, and instead of seeing extremely valid criticism of the lazy yearly roster update of a $70 game, they take small clips and label it as “hate”
It is truly remarkable that they would choose to allocate resources to produce such propaganda rather than investing that budget into addressing the many issues plaguing the game. I haven’t played it in over a decade, and those of you who continue to play regularly should feel rightfully frustrated. However, on a more positive note, the fact that they felt the need to generate such propaganda indicates they are aware of the growing criticism. During their renegotiation period, they saw fit to take such action, which is certainly more than nothing. I must say, your efforts are making significant waves in this regard, and I encourage you to persist in your pursuit. We, the football fans longing for a truly great football game, will one day be grateful for the brighter future you are helping to create.

I have been watching you since 2018. PLEASE keep pumping out the content the way you are. The saddest part to your videos now is that you have to claim legalities in portions of your videos (early often) to prevent blowback. This is the time to keep trudging forward. Time is not on their side. Theirs 2 years left till the deal is up. There's no way a company that cares about profits like the behemoth of the NFL won't take notice at some point. The detail you lay out, the layers you pile on, the levels of detail that you consistently shape in consistent yearly fashion is a true testament to your passion to this endeavor and as somebody who grew up playing this game from 2003 to 2016 when I finally gave up on the series for ALL THE THINGS YOU HAVE LAID OUT, your videos have answered my childhood frustrations of things I've wanted the game to address/improve/common sensically attack to make this game possibly the greatest sports game ever. People forget 2004. They forget Madden and 2K football were in the conversation with possibly the greatest video games EVER at that time and for those respective years. Sports games didn't do that back then, and they were. I have been following you for a very long time and I am begging you to continue, to keep shoving these dirt bag greed mongers to their ever loving graves so that the children in all of us can relive a game that so desperately needs some sanity stricken back into it regarding the improvement that it is at minimum 20 years overdue. You are riding a journey that I have been step for step on you about and I'm here to say, keep pushing, your content matters to those that understand how insanely unique this game could be.

If they reached out to you. They’re scared of you. That’s what I’m taking away from it. Your channel SHOULD NOT exist. Your channel should not have 175k followers. But they’ve made a game so bad that you have a successful channel calling out their BS
I watched the documentary i dont think EA thought that 2k was legit competition. I think EA thought they were going to be in a battle for a long time. The NFL picked a side after 2k dropped the price of the game. I think the NFL is wayyyyy bigger problem then your giving credit. I think your heat is aimed at the wrong people. I think the NFL is the bad guys here.
Amazon and the NFL are never gonna bash each other and EA I believe is in bed with both companies. It does not shock me to see this happen and its a shame that essentially they fleeced you and your work. It sad to see how bad gaming companies have gotten. I dont know what the answer is to fixing the issue is either realistically.
this corporate slop deserves to fail in every way, lying to creators about how their content will be used to suck off ea is ridiculous and totally unsurprising from a giant corporation like amazin
I’m not sure if you’re into soccer games, but FIFA-or should I say EAFC-is making waves again. In that documentary, EA claims to love competition, but let’s be honest-they don’t. Competition forces them to work harder and be more creative, which isn’t exactly their strong suit. That said, EA is facing real competition in the soccer gaming world, so they’ve been putting in more effort. However, with their reliance on the Frostbite engine, I doubt the gameplay will improve significantly.
The saddest thing for me is that no developer thinks theres a market for a competitive simulation football game, licensed or not. Idk if it replicates the NFL cause i dont even care for that product anymore; i mean the players not tackling NFL stars and the lack of refs on the field were ironically super realistic to the modern league. I just want a gritty, hard-hitting, intuitive football game. To hell with a license, we just need SOMETHING on this hardware.
So EA has the time, money, and patience to create a whole propaganda documentary, but they dont have the money for a new engine? EA rlly is a sickening company, im literally disgusted that they're using their connections with amazon and the NFL to lie and tarnish the reputation of you, Angry Joe, and the old 2k games rather than simply improving their game.
It's like EA is trying to shut you and AngryJoe up as much as possible by showing mainstream media that Madden is completely fine and it's the loud part of the community that's wrong. That's really messed up.
This is sickening, the audacity, the ignorance, the deception to do this is insane. This should open the NFL's eyes on EA, if the NFL didn't make it like this.
Kind of bums me out that one of the all time greatest coaches is still associated with this game. "Madden" and "sucks" are two words that should come nowhere near each other.
My brother, this is on you. I think you were very naive. When was the last time an msm org was ever critical of a large corporation. I mean a quick glance would’ve shown you that both companies share a large percentage of shareholders. They wouldn’t have allowed a hit piece.
Keep fighting the good fight! I remember back in my day when we started superstar mode, our parents would dictate our ratings. Create a fan, stadium, etc. The competition was crazy back then. Imagine being able to walk around a city like 2k has does it. Bro we need them to give up the exclusive rights!!!
Aye bro the madden deVS, ea , and NFL would say you have an entire channel you made the money back for every product we ever released and you will always be able to make content about us good or bad Unless this community got 5 billion to buy them out of the contract ain’t shit gonna change They got people on ps4 but expect EA to push the standard It’s like asking Ben Simmons to average 20 for the nets he isn’t going to attempt to play his heart away if the roster sucks
I watched the first episode and only the first episode. Just a few minutes in after seeing how they chopped up yours and Angry Joe's comments I knew I wasn't watching an unbiased look at the history of how Madden came to be, but rather as a propaganda piece to sell the latest Madden. I was getting so upset my wife actually told me I either had to shut up or turn it off lol. Every time they showed Clint's ugly face on that thing I wanted to throw a shoe at the TV. It was a disgusting piece and definitely did not show Madden as what it has become. The silver lining behind it is my daughter started asking questions about why I was so upset. Hopefully, in some weird inadvertent way, this documentary brings more awareness to how pooptastic the game is. Keep doing your thing, Brother!
Playing Madden 08 on the ps2 as I listen to this, I haven’t opened my wallet for Madden for a couple years now. It sucks that opting out is the best way to fight.
Yup same here with created teams from the xfl and usfl for my franchise modes Still fun and I have a team in Las Vegas and they literally have casino based options for the fan day and even Las Vegas's actually newspaper from that time

But we are always damn right.
I am 49, I bought my last Madden in 2018, I will most probably never play a football game anymore in my life.
AI is my very last hope, maybe EA can use it to clean the code. I wouldn't give it more than 5% chance, though.
The newest Madden is so good though. I love watching my linebackers and corners blow their assignment in man coverage for no reason. Or my wide receivers run routes mindlessly and ignore the defensive backfield depth (GO IN FRONT OF THEM!). It’s SO COOL having create a team back and NOT be able to edit the uniforms how I really want (and were available 15/20 years ago) and be super buggy.
IT’S SO FREAKING GOOD Y’ALL.
Aye but don't worry it'll get patched in the next update and will be broken again on the release date of Madden 26 😂.
@ 🤣🤣🤣
Same exact problems in cfb 25 too. I really don’t understand how there is not a GOOD football game that has realistic gameplay.
Cfb 25 is beautiful stop that shit . I woll die on this hill its the best game released in years. Its a video game stop thjnking its gonna be some realistic simulation i understand madden its ass but cfb 25 is great@Telluswhyyoureclosed
@@AllenChavis-z5z it’s better than madden, but there’s too many things wrong with it for it to be considered a good game. Glad you like to suck off EA though
We got EA Sports propaganda before GTA VI
GTA 6 will be a Ieftist propaganda.
*Bloomberg article:* "All of this comes as part of a report about Rockstar Games' attempts to reinvent itself as a more progressive company. Developers are also being cautious not to "punch down" by making jokes about marginalized groups, the people said, in contrast to previous games. Rockstar declined to move forward with GTA Online mode Cops n’ Crooks in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. The company removed transphobic jokes from the most recent console release of Grand Theft Auto and the Confederate flag from Vice City's remaster. The report also confirmed that Rockstar will have racist white cops who will profile people of color. This was one of several politically sensitive actions Rockstar, a division of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., has taken in recent years."
I can tell you straight up: the people saying, 'Enough with your EA rant,' aren't actually annoyed with Madden-they're still playing the damn game. And let’s be real-true supporters of you or this movement dont say shit like that so just ignore em.
I was a die-hard Madden fan until 2019, but I stopped buying and playing it altogether. As someone who truly loves football, I’ve chosen to sacrifice my entertainment for a greater cause. People need to stop buying this game because, at the end of the day, the higher-ups at the NFL only care about one thing-money. As long as people keep buying, they’ll never feel the need to change or improve anything. That’s why I make it a point to support videos like this by hitting the like button and clicking share (just clicking share counts as a share).
Keep making videos like this. 👍
The documentary was too scared to be negative or else EA would have shut them down 💀
No one is shutting down Jeff Bezos’s company😂😂
That's a shame!
Lmao, Bezos could buy EA in a heartbeat.
Just thumbs downed the documentary. It's not much but it's honest work
The documentary is pure propaganda.
Rule of thumb if it’s ever corporate it’s most likely a bunch of yes man mentality and do what we tell you don’t be critical
Well, maybe you should try NCAA 06 or 14. In my opinion, those games are way better than 25. Better AI, better gameplay, better everything.
CFB 25 isn't an exception it's going to go down the drain with Madden as well. A lot of ppl stopped playing it when 2k came out but seeing how 2k25 is shitty as well ppl went to Bo6 but it's trash as well, so I think we're screwed for sports gaming because TBH nerds never cared about sports to begin with.
@@BigBoiUltra3741 my comment wasnt about hating CFB 25. I like CFB a ton and play it way more than even if Madden was good. The "fix" comment towards the end was actually a great thing cause I would force myself to play Madden to get a football fix. I bought steam deck for NCAA 14 and to play revamped and its one of my fav games, and having something great on console to play is amazing
@@JohnThree-f8e it was a great first edition of it. Lets see where it goes, but I don't think it'll go downhill like Madden. As SDTV has said, Madden code needs to be absolutely stripped and re-worked, which is a tough thing. I think thats where CFB will succeed, heading into further editions of the game.
CFB plays like madden with a lower speed threshold
I watched this series! I was stunned the series acknowledged Madden has declined since the mid 2000s.
the way they staged it makes it seem like people who criticize the game are liars

Never fall for the trap
i think it would be funny if you angry joe and a production company got together and made a Documentary that tells the real story of madden rather than this amazon bootlicking shit
Netflix might buy it
With all due respect, you really thought that Amazon would publish a documentary disparaging a NFL-licensed product while they have a working releationship and actively bid on hosting NFL games on their media platforms? Never trust a corporate entity, especially one as corrupt as the NFL.
Regardless, it's cool to see that your vids are gettting this kind of attention after watching the channel for years now. Shame how they ended up being used to paint a false picture.
For real 😭
Him blindly accepting after the first email without even asking what the documentary is about is almost criminal, it's like he was asking to get owned.

The only fix is consumers filing an antitrust lawsuit against EA and the NFL
The second I saw that thumbnail on Prime I knew it was nothing but a Madden EA puff piece. I can't wait to see what Angry Joe does lol
As you know, I'm a huge fan of football video games-been here since the start. I appreciate you, dude, and all the work you do to get EA away from this license. I will say that I did enjoy maybe only the aspects of the early days of development I got to see from the documentary, like seeing John’s scenes actually showing his development and also the early days and success Trip brought to it. That said, I totally agree with you and just want to say you have my vote and support for anything you need to continue to push the needle and open this license, bring
What's funny is that there was actually sales data for NFL 2k5 and Madden 05 in the insomniac games leak from November 2004, and it showed that NFL 2k5 sold better then Madden on Xbox though not on PS2 at the time.
Two corporations sucking each other off... No way! I love ya, man, but you should have seen this coming.
wish this video gets millions of views seriously
Its the Madden Industrial Complex at work in that documentary. Thanks for giving us your rebuttal.
3:54 exactly! Most people don’t understand how terrible Madden has become. I wish Amazon would’ve done the right thing with this documentary. Disappointing.
I agree I wish Amazon would’ve done the right thing too. The thing is most average people could care less about a *video* game!
Oh madden is terrible huh? Why dont you make a better fucking game? I am SICK of people saying this
@@Ben-p3b ah yes compare one individual person to a billion dollar company that makes video games. The game is terrible. Madden 08 is better. 2K5, a game from 20 years ago, is better. You’ll stop hearing it when it gets better.

This "documentary" is 100% bootlickerMaterial! Nowhere for them to go but more downhill as they say....
That sounds illegal and treacherous on EAs actions.

@ ahhhh gotcha, I don’t think we have a case because we signed the release forms but I wish they were a little more transparent in the way we were going to be used. I don’t think they made me or SOFTDRINK look bad, but Angry Joe definitely wasn’t shown in the most flattering way
Amazon Prime is hosting weekly NFL games and is now pushing for island games like the Black Friday game, and we thought the doc would be critical?
1:17 this is exactly what Activision would’ve done to Nero if he signed and let them use his clips for call of duty
I don’t plan on watching the documentary but wow that’s shameful. Poor Angry Joe.. well I’m proud to be part of the niche and helped whatever little bit I could in the past. And on the bright side I’m glad you’re still around getting recognition
NFL eras would be so cool like how they do nba eras with what the camera looks like based on the time your playing in that would be so cool
This is the first time I'm hearing about this documentary. If you hadn't made this video, I wouldn't have known about it, even though I use Prime every day. Keep up the great work, because the fact that they've created this documentary shows that they're listening to you all and that you're making an impact.
I bought college football, but haven’t purchased a madden in six years and have no desire to. I really need to update my all pro football 2K8 easily the best football game we have ever got from a gameplay perspective
All that documentary showed me was that the EA can’t handle competition
Did you really expect the same company that partnered with EA before to make a hit piece about them? Much less a major NFL partner that gave a vested interest in Madden doing good?
Anything on amazon prime won't be critical of anything NFL related while simultaneously broadcasting a weekly NFL game.
No way Tyreek Hill has played Madden this year. He has 12 kids to worry about.
Not only has madden gotten worse for years, the NFL has gotten worse as well.
@SOFTDRINKTV its always soothing to hear someone share the same criticism of Madden today. The people that tell you to keep you're mouth shut are the same people that will settle for the same bland ass game and will waste there life on MUT. Its just sad how far this game has fallen all because "Money". I hate hearing "Stop buying the game thats how you fix it" but lets be real does that really fix the issue cause in reality most people much like myself will buy the game because we love football and love the NFL. You're videos have brought more awareness to the ongoing issues that Madden has had for the last several years and I'm thankful for that. Keep you're voice alive and don't stop for anyone
Thank you sir, this is the video that I've been waiting for! Two enthusiastic thumbs up you are the real MVP for this one as usual!
As much as I dislike the current state of video football games, I never thought 2k was all that. Very robotic and the fun factor just wasn't there. And I wasn't the only one in my group of friends that thought this.
This just shows they know they are taking advantage of ppl who don’t know they are getting ripped off
After recently reading 1984 for the first time, seems like it wasn't just a novel, it was a prophecy
I have been watching you since 2018. PLEASE keep pumping out the content the way you are. Consumers need to know that a game that hasn't been good or improved in 20 years when the constant lies are peddled need to have a voice that cites against the mob.
Is EA the Diddy of video game companies?
Yes
Yes
No I think that most of them are scummy. The ones that are not are trying to be.
At 10:06 when you mention diehard madden fans. There are no diehard madden fans even the youtubers who almost exclusively post madden based content hate madden. Bengal talked about how he's not having fun on madden 25 and we'll MMG literally got his 3 letters banned from madden for a while.
11:37 that blocking logic is exactly why I can't abide by them pretending that Madden NFL is a legitimate attempt at making a simulation game
This is why I will watch your videos in their entirety and interacts and share as often as I can. I appreciate your take on how far Madden has fallen. Everything you say is factual.
This is why I don’t buy EA games anymore. Haven’t since 2018. Really not that hard guys and it’s the only thing that’s gonna change anything.
I am sorry but you thought Amazon, who has a deal with the NFL, would shit talk the NFL? That's kinda on you for thinking that would happen
this corporate slop deserves to fail in every way, lying to creators about how their content will be used to suck off ea is ridiculous and totally unsurprising from a giant corporation like amazin
EA is a cheapskate organization
The saddest thing for me is that no developer thinks theres a market for a competitive simulation football game, licensed or not. Idk if it replicates the NFL cause i dont even care for that product anymore; i mean the players not tackling NFL stars and the lack of refs on the field were ironically super realistic to the modern league. I just want a gritty, hard-hitting, intuitive football game. To hell with a license, we just need SOMETHING on this hardware.
So EA has the time, money, and patience to create a whole propaganda documentary, but they dont have the money for a new engine? EA rlly is a sickening company, im literally disgusted that they're using their connections with amazon and the NFL to lie and tarnish the reputation of you, Angry Joe, and the old 2k games rather than simply improving their game.
wow SDTV, isn’t this crazy? Keep doing your thing, they definitely feel the movement.
They really did the Simpsons' Rock Bottom editing. Jesus, that's pathetic.
Madden has lost my money long ago, after watching this I'm never going back
Need a hashtag to start for the nfl to notice. To not sign this deal
The ending monologue of this video got me feeling optimistic and excited. We believe in the mission brother
Im sorry that happened man. They really fucked you over. Keep going though man, dont let this discourage you!
Even worse is that EA is banking on this documentary's hype to help propel that extension. Disgusting.

Kind of bums me out that one of the all time greatest coaches is still associated with this game. "Madden" and "sucks" are two words that should come nowhere near each other.
i agree, John madden doesn’t deserve that
You should have asked what the documentary's angle was
I need angry Joe to make a video on this now
My brother, this is on you. I think you were very naive. When was the last time an msm org was ever critical of a large corporation.
I mean a quick glance would’ve shown you that both companies share a large percentage of shareholders. They wouldn’t have allowed a hit piece.
They should rename this “documentary”, “The Circlejerking and Legacy of Failure of EA”.
It's voices like yours that validate what I do on my own channel
Unless you’re a super young naive person, there’s no reason to buy sports games in 2024.
You shouldn't have been so naive but so happy to see you grow as a channel to a point you got EA's jimmies rustle.
That was disgusting of A&E, EA, and Amazon.
Aye bro the madden deVS, ea , and NFL would say you have an entire channel you made the money back for every product we ever released and you will always be able to make content about us good or bad
Unless this community got 5 billion to buy them out of the contract ain’t shit gonna change
They got people on ps4 but expect EA to push the standard
It’s like asking Ben Simmons to average 20 for the nets he isn’t going to attempt to play his heart away if the roster sucks
Yup same here with created teams from the xfl and usfl for my franchise modes
Still fun and I have a team in Las Vegas and they literally have casino based options for the fan day and even Las Vegas's actually newspaper from that time
Presuming that documentary in a streaming library or broadcast on cable will change anything is presumptive hubris that will lead to depression. It is like posting comments to UA-cam videos.
I saw that crap and it honestly pissed me off bc I can see through the bs they were spitting. Everyone knows EA is whack af even but founder out here admitting it makes me wonder how a business like nfl lets this group slide w that license
