In the last few years, IEM's have gotten really good in the sub-$200 segment. It's a great way to get quality sound for much less than a pair of nice over-ears and an amp.
You got me considering. Can't argue with those pricepoints.
The Kato and the Dusk would be great but kinda overkill for gaming.
You don't need Iems tuned so accurately to the 'Harman target' for gaming.
The Kato are £189...
And the Moondrop Blessing Dusk are £318
Both of these are very very good Iems for listening to music.
Your £50 Truth-ears are just fine.
There are literally hundreds of Iems in that £50 bracket that would do the same job.

Is there a wireless version you would recommend which also has a mic (under 150$ budget)?
I love my custom molded IEMs, but since I got my small vacuum tube amp up and running again, I've gone back to using my old (modified) Sony MDR-V600 over-ear phones unless I'm traveling. The deeper bass and larger soundstage lends itself really well to 3D spatial sound in the few games I play, and to music and my video restoration hobby.
I use Moondrop Variations for all my media consumption and gaming. I absolutely love them. I have a pair of zero's as well that I use for the gym because they are great for the price but they can't touch my Variations. Glad to see more people getting into the IEM scene though and audio in general, people often neglect the audio side of their setups.
I want to try Variations so bad. I think Blessing2:Dusk are next on my list.

I definitely love the option of having no head compression and can swap every few months or so. Crinnacle zeros definitely take the crown for me in quality and style so I hope IEM's continue to improve in quality in each price bracket.
Totally agree! I'd love to see that $100-150 price bracket get a real shake up.
Can I just plug them directly into say a PSVR2? Or do I need a DAC? I’m new to IEM’s and am trying to figure what is the best option.

Since my headphone out is dead on my GoXLR, I listen to the line out, which is too quiet without amplification. If you're on a normal GoXLR, you can still use the headphone port, sans amp.

we have the same mic and its connected to my goxlr mini. right now im thinking of switching from dt 770 pro to sennheiser ie 400 iem. and the only question i got here is do i need an amp to prove the sound with this iem? or is the goxlr mini enough to handle it all?
Planning to buy Truthear x Crinacle Zero Blue for casual gaming mostly fps games like PUBG and CS2. I bought a 4 USD IEM QKZ AK6 PRO and I have a Razer Blackshark v2. I use the Razer Sound Card for my IEM and not satisfied for my IEM the gun shot has an high pitch though the footstep imaging is ok. Do I need to buy a DAC or my Razer Sound Card is good? TIA

The moondrop earbuds while playing call of duty they sound great but you can’t hear were the footsteps are coming from. It sounds like they are behind you but they will be in front to the left or right.

yes headset after 2 to 3 hours gets sweaty, heat around my ears = uncomfortable to the point I could not concentrate.
using Moondrop Aria Snow Edition with Spring Tips, very comfortable to the point you won't notice your wearing it, just like wearing eye glasses. Might be different experience to others since we have different ear shapes.
kato is an upgrade from my aria SE further more at blessing 2.

Yes, and no experience with Hexas. Less base than the Zeros.

I play war zone on ps5 with astro a50 will iem work great with astro amp or controller? And also with give same effect?
get some memory foam in ear pieces if you're like me and your ears are super sensitive to the things hurting, memory foam will squeeze in and expand and fill the space without hurting you

Just got the Moondrop Chu with mic and using them to plug right into my Xbox controller. The sound quality is pretty great, but there is some static when speaking. Any suggestions?
Turning off mic monitoring will stop that on xbox, but you won't hear yourself speak. Try adjusting the game volume and voice ratios / unplugging and plugging the wire from the earphones
I like the sound of them while playing Warzone, with all your settings etc, but they seem very over pitched while you are shooting your gun. Gets to the point where it’s pretty excruciating. Turned the master volume of CoD down to 40 and it’s still too loud and over pitched while shooting. Any advice what I could do? :)

@@firdkohif you have used art’s sound settings, using hesuvi you should be able to turn down your front volume to pretty much 0 which will make your own gun sounds very low

@@ArtisWar thank you for the reply. I ended up getting the linsoul cable. Is there a way that you cannot hear yourself when talking? I feel like these IEMs are nearly unusable because when I speak, my voice is louder then the game audio.
Question if you don’t mind please. I just got the truthear x crinacle zeros. Plugged them in to the port on front of my pc I run sonar so set it all up through there and hopped in game. They sound horrible. Can’t hear really anything that I have been use to with my astros. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Or do they take getting use to? Everything seems lower volume overall and I heard zero footsteps. Thanks!
If you're running an EQ in sonnar or any other added effects, try it with those off first. They should sound noticeably clearer than most Astros, so it sounds like something's off. They also need to make a seal in your ear, and pretty deep at that. Make sure your fit is correct.

Tried the Blon BL03, junk but good bass damn cable kept falling off. Then tried the Crinacle X Zero and was happy but still not satisfied, so then I tested the Letshuoer S12 Pro and realized for over $100 more the Zeros sounded as as good* (once I found out about using the USB C to 3.5mm dongle on them connected to my PC)
Now I have the Sennheiser IE300 and I have to say again for jumping up an extra $150 they sound better but not $150 more better. The Zeros paired with a good set of tips and the dongle are sooooo good.

It sucks you can’t adjust the volume on the zeros. I have all my pc and game volume settings on max. Very good quality but I wish they were a little louder.

I watched a vid that recommends activating dolby atmos for these headphones. A) It's grayed out for me, I've tried everything I could to solve the issue, and B) is dolby atmos even necessary? I'm thinking of scheduling an appointment for setup and some basic knowledge.

Right into the GoXLR. Headphone amp on it is rated for 50 ohms, and must IEMs < 20 ohms.

I bought a linsoul cable with mic but the issue is when you talk you can hear your voice and it is extremely annoying. My voice literally takes over the game audio and I can’t hear anything. Trying to find a fix…

got a kinera gramr cable for the mic quality and i dont have that issue, im not sure if the linsoul has issues with unintentional mic monitoring but i havent really had that issue
@@killshot3331what are you using them on console or pc? if console the soundblaster g3 has good game mix settings for cheap and on pc steelseries sonar lets you adjust the mix when you set your audio outputs on discord, opera, and games to the chat, media, and games output

Either is fine, mixamp is probably higher quality.

@@killshot3331 kinda gave up figuring how to get the truthear setup to work for games like warzone. They're fine for single player games. Whenever I use them and have to talk to other players there is either a huge echo or I can't hear them. I bought I different cord that came with a mic that fit the truthears but that didn't help. Bought a simple stand alone mic to use with the mixamp and original cord the truthears came with but haven't set that up yet
@@pyropat14 I gotcha. I don’t have any of those problems with mine the only problem is no way to adjust game/chat audio so my teammates are extremely loud. If you get it figured out someday I’d be curious to know. Thanks for the feedback
I ordered truth ear zeros. they sound so quiet compared to my astro a40's like to the point where I don't believe they benefit me (I use them for tarkov) are they meant to be quiet even with my PC audio cranked?
It sounds like you're not putting the buds in far enough, or not getting a good seal on the plug. These are loud enough, especially in the bass region, to rattle my ears.

@luckipup503 no I didn't mate just the headphone port, I sent them back for a refund pretty quickly and went back to over ears insteas
@@im_badatpc7469 the headphone header on the case of ur pc is wired to the motherboard, using the inputs on either the case header or the motherboard should be using the same most likely realtek audio

@@bb3dr I picked up some today there alright but I think my stealth 700 Gen 2 pros are better with footstep directions. Like I can hear foot steps just not really from what direction there coming from with these

I have the truthear zeros and the directional audio is non existent. But everyone is swearing by them
you probably have them plugged into some bullshit lol, they go hard on both my soundblaster g3 for console and my little hiby dongle on pc
literally right after getting them i was spectating my friend playing r6 and i gave him probably the most sound whore nastiest audio calls in my life to help him clutch a 1v4 lol, these iems definitely aren’t overrated
I got the Moondrop II and they were either fake (typical Amazon) or badly manufactured because the ear pieces were labeled in reverse. Didn't like the sound either, nor could I get the mic to work. They looked gorgeous, but they had to be fake and I told Amazon as much so they could look into the seller. Avoid 3rd party sellers!!
A reviewer pointed out that the Truthhear is terrible for music unless you run it through the Denon AVR-X3100W receiver. He stated it was better than anything he'd ever heard once he did that.
the problem is that the GX is kinda trash for gaming despite the marketing and high price tag.
Important to know "More Money", doesn't mean quality.
It does when it comes to IEMs. Materials, fit, features, drivers, etc…are all effected. I use them for work in the concert industry. My $1500 Ultimate Ears are 3 driver, custom molded, IEMs that sound amazing. For gaming I use the no longer made Bose QC20 noise cancelling IEMs that were $350 new (you can get them from China for $150 on EBay) and they are fantastic as well. The noise cancelling makes a huge difference in hearing details in a WZ.
@@rollittakeit No. It don't. The materials are close to being the same. the only difference is the designer of the iem . This has been proven over the years.
Probably most expensive IEM with perfect sound is around 200 dollars and you will not feel any difference with 500+ dollars IEM
Also custom made option for your ears is the only thing you should care when you order endgame IEM. I think price for i is around 400-500 dollars, atleast in Russia.
So when you gonna tell me people you need to buy a mixamp

Your pair might be chalked because that's far from the truth.

Lol this iem is overrated, k bear os1 is better than this …i have them both. But i think the kbear os1 is the best n cheaper
