To everyone who bought the Steam OST, it will have been downloaded in an update, along with the extended (hummed) versions of the songs. Your OST is complete! Thanks Supergiant Games! ^_^
If you don't mind my asking, where does She Shines fall in the soundtrack? I only bought the album through Amazon since I played it on PS4 so She Shines is just a random song
+James Valadez She shines would have been included with the updated version of the soundtrack in Steam. I'm unsure of how to get it if you bought the album through amazon. I'd recommend contacting Supergiant Games on that one. Or Google for similar situations in case that's been resolved. Copies ordered through SG's website also gave buyers access to a digital download of the extended edition (which includes She Shines). Maybe check Amazon to see if a similar deal appears there?
Ashley Barret's voice pierced my ears like the rifle her surname shares a name with. Supergiant games is a remarkable gem of a studio with stellar music. Simply impeccable. "I will always find you~"
You know a games good when its amazing soundtrack is still getting songs added to it , even though the games 2 years old, Keep it up supergiant games love you guys :D
Bastion and Transistor raised the bar in several aspects of game development, especially musically. Please don't disappoint us with whatever the third game might be :o
What this makes me think is that Red truly loved Cloudbank and maybe didn't even have a problem with the way it was run. She struck a chord with her audience (and perhaps the Camerata) with songs about hopelessness and frustration, but this was an accident: she was actually referring to her crippling depression, not deliberately making a political statement.
+Zyxx I think she did love the city, but she probably was fustrated with some things. I mean, perfection can cause a sort've insanity among some people who crave strife. People who love something will be the most fustrated with flaws I think.
Can’t stop listening to this song, the chorus is so damn captivating! It’s true what Austin Wintory said about Darren Korb’s music - “you can strip away all sounds and it will still be good”.
I like to imagine it's some kind of ode to Cloudbank, possibly during her rise to stardom. It's an awful lot more optimistic than the other songs we hear. Also this part seems to support the "ode to Cloudbank" idea:Lost in the clouds Like tears in the rain Winking along all the same. Sleeping alone, We never mind her diligence Watching us all lie awake.
"When she shines for me at night, And her skies show green and white, She will keep us in her sight. We all lie beneath her light." Sybil doesn't have skies. It's gotta be Cloudbank.
I always took it to be Breach singing about the transistor itself as one of many people who's consciousness'? is in the transistor, at the end of the game we see literal skies within the transistor and it also makes sense with the green and white light
Thank you, dear Supergiant games for Transistor and for your other games! You are awesome! Special thanks to Ashley Barret and Darren Korb for an awesome music! From the gamers with love!
Man, I’ve been buying their games ever since Bastion, but I’ve played only a couple of hours each. I just appreciate what they’re doing and how much sincere passion is put into those games. Sadly, some of the games just don’t click with me (except Hades). Soundtracks are always a joy to my ears, they are amazing.
Seriously this game alone, the music is without question one of the all time BEST video game musics out there. I love Red and I miss playing the game. I think I'll have to replay it all over again after I beat Hades
I think this is the song that finally made Sybil fall in love with Red. I can picture her, sometime before the whole Camerata fiasco, listening to Red live, watching her up on the stage, someone who Sybil may have already caught feelings for, singing about this radiant female presence, magestic... Idk it just makes sense for me, and I think it's a shame that we never got to take a deeper look into their relation. Of course, more important things were happening by the time we get control of Red. And she was already in a relationship with the boxer. So Sybil's fight portrais this feeling jealous, but holding no ill will towards Red (maybe towards the boxer? after all Sybil seemed prepared to take Red's life); rather accepting her demise and regreting how things could have turned out differently.
+TheCakeFlavor Actually, there's a hum for every song. At different points in the game you can press the button to make her hum, and she'll hum a different song depending on what point in the game you're at.
Once again, Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett never fail to amaze. I'm personally hoping this is a teaser for the next Supergiant game, because this would be an amazing way to do it (also we all can't wait until the next one comes out!)
Everyone goes on about how great the soundtracks are in Supergiant games, and absolutely no doubt the soundtracks are excellent, but too often in reviews it seems like the implication is that's what makes the games so good. Same goes for the art; Transistor was an absolutely beautiful game. But what really makes me love Transistor is the gameplay mechanics. I've never played anything like it; perfect mesh of tactical and real-time action. I'm anxiously awaiting more Supergiant games.

DLC? Или этот порт последние что студия думает делать с игрой?

I really liked it, as well as the entire soundtrack. But perhaps the main question that interests me - this track spreading. It will be available only in versions of the game for the "Apple" devices? Or coming any patch that will add it to other platforms? Also, the new product will be sold as a separate single? Or is it like to add something in the main album, or will those who bought them? I really wanted to get the track in normal quality, especially knowing how, "UA-cam" shakes any sound somewhere from 320 kbps to 120 kbps. Will be glad to rapid release of the single in the "iTunes Store", for example. And there are questions relating not only to the music. And it's the only surprise? We are waiting for more of any material? Music? DLC? Or the port past the studio thinks to do with the game?"
