Good to see you out and about
Atb 👍🏽
Enjoyed the video bro it had a good range of terrane and conditions, half expecting a Yeti to stop by for a cup of tea. Safe travels up your way
Cracking video Eddie 😁👍
You were looking tired there bud... probably for the best that we bailed on the cairngorm.
Fine effort again on this one bud.
Give you a call soon...
Once one...
Nice one 👍
Good stuff Ed. Cold 🥶 one but another great trip 👍🏕🥾
Good video i enjoyed watching it:)
Hello Eddie and what a cold camp that looked. The Scarp looked good but out numbered by the Soulo. Good group meet up. I watched Andy's version of this meet up too. With all them Marks it's hard to work out who's who's. 🤔😂. Really enjoyed watching. Atb Steve 👍
HI Steve alot of Soulos and Marks. 5 Marks I go camping with. It was bitter especially since its been very mild all year. ATB
Bet it's hard remembering all there names 🤔😂👍
Great stuff Eddie! Some terrific views with the sun breaking through the clouds in the distance, and you had good weather for the decent. Great bunch of guys to be out with in any weather. Your tent did well in the wind and snow. The snow is arriving here this morning and they say 4 to 6 inches by Monday but our forecasting is not the best so we will see. Watching how the deer feed and move and keeping an eye on the barometer does a better job of forecasting. I'll see you in the next one! Take care, Ossie
Hi Ossie it's still abit mild here had 2 storms recently but nothing dramatic in Glasgow.Hope your abit better but I guess the cold wouldn't help. Might get out a couple more times before next year, see what happens. ATB.
I seen those storms on the news and hoped you didn't get caught out in something nasty! I received the spinal injection on Tuesday and I am doing a little better. I've cut back on taking Tramadol and hope to get off that if I continue to improve. 28f and snowing here now, the big storm arrives tomorrow with 8 to 10 inches predicted. Last night we had seven deer on the patio and we fed them potatoes and bread. It is so nice to see them up close, especially the young ones. Hope you can get out and the weather is kind to you. Take care, Ossie
Another cracking video Eddie- would be great to join you on one of your trips at some point. Keep the good work up.
Thanks Gavin, I be going to killy a few times this winter if your about.
Good effort Eddie on a chilly hill hike but it's these slightly adverse weather conditions that make the trips interesting, I used to love doing the Brecon Beacons and surrounding area in January when the temps were down with the snow. Cheer's for your efforts and atvb to you mate.
Good ease into winter camping Paul I expect to be out in much more adverse weather. I'd like to camp in Wales again but I see what happens. Take care.
@@ScotsWildcamper Don't blame you Eddie, easing your body into the colder climates is common sense thinking mate, yes I've seen your adventures into your winter wilderness area's and mountains, stunning scenery with a touch of danger adds to the thrills, that's why we do it, well not so much myself nowadays haha. Take care mate and enjoy.
What a cracking couple of days you had. Love it up there, definitely the roughest part of the cheviots I reckon. 💗🥾
So all the hilliberg soulo tents are in Scotland.. lol 😆
Yes Bagpipes, Haggis and Hilleberg tents!!
Great 2 nighter Eddie , that cold has been a real shocker after all the mild weather before lol . Tough underfoot conditions and a little snow will have made it harder too. What camera are you using these days ? Footage very sharp . Plenty of cold a winter camps to come 🥶⛺️ atb Dave
Hi Dave Still using my old sony x3000 action cam for the hiking but got a sony RX100 mark 7 ...1 inch sensor small camera for camp/night footage. i think this rx100 be my usual camera now, me other sony is better quality but much heavier. I had my hardest hike out a few years ago in bog and deep snow. Yeah i be out in blizzard like conditions i expect.ATB.
@@ScotsWildcamper thought so , I have the same Sony too . Great little camera been using it about 12 month now . I find 1080 is perfect for UA-cam and you don’t get cropped like when using 4k . I also use the hero 9 and sometimes the dji action . 📷😂👍
:-)
Should have taken a bivvy.
