Great video again Pan! Planning to coat my new wheels. (new car arriving end of March). I've already wrote the steps down from your previous video's. Only difference is that I'm going to coat them With Carpro D'lux. :-).
Nice job Pan again, and you make a great videos! I like a Gyeon products and I will apply a Q2 Rim into my white Civic Type R Enkei wheels too for a summer season. I'm very curious on finish look. :) I'm looking forward to the next detailing video from you. Have a nice rest of day. ;)
Thank you !! 👏😊 I have used - TEC 582 CERAMIC DETAIL SPRAY , bead maker and meguiars detail spray. I would one of them during the maintenance wash. Depending on what I have had available during the detail. That’s the products I’ve used to protect the car and rims. I really like the video you made on ceramic coating on the paint and wanted to ask about the rims :-)
I've used Chemical Guy's Wheel Guard to protect my rims on my car. It's like a paste, or even looks like wax that would come in a jar. It goes on easy, and must stay for 15min I think. It gives a high shine, helps prevent water spots, and brake dust from sticking. It also makes cleaning the rims easier. P.S. I'm a detailer too.

Great video! I did my wheels last year using GYEON Q2 RIM EVO and was very pleased. I opened the bottle about six months ago. Can I use the product on another vehicle, or does it have an expiration date?
Thanks for the detailed review! I used Rim about 3 weeks ago and have to say it does it’s job. I’ve never used Wet, so curious if there are any concerns on overspray on the rotors? Thx.

Once again Pan you have knocked it out of the park. My summer wheels are sitting in the garage and now I want to coat them! I have a question though, it looks like someone marked the wheels with a marker on the barrel to signify right, left, front and rear. How would you suggest to get this off of the barrel? Thanks again Pan, and keep up the great work.
It can break down older waxes or sealants, but a non issue as you’re using this on wheels. Just thoroughly rinse after use. That’s it. Great to remove tar and glue residue, even bugs! I did a video about it for use on bug splatter here: ua-cam.com/video/ITRC8bNJkHE/v-deo.html
Hello thank for the informative video. I just bought brand new wheels for my f10. Haven't installed them yet. Do I have to follow these exact steps to protect the wheels before I take the car to garage to put in new tyres tyres on thm.
I purchased Sonax Spray and Seal for topping up protection on my wheels, think I've seen you use it before too, should I consider switching to Wet Coat?
Excellent video!!! Learning a lot from all your materials. Thank you! I have one question, please. I have seen some videos where the iron remover was the first step of the cleaning process. Is there a rule , or, does not matter ?
The general consensus on paintwork is wash, iron remover, clay, machine polishing, IPA and then coating. Same would apply to wheels. You can skip claying and polishing if they’re in a good state.
Pan, I have wheels that are gloss black and clear coated that I want to apply a ceramic coating to. In addition to the steps you've outlined in your video, I would also need to polish them due to some light scratches that are very noticeable due to the gloss black paint. What is your recommendation for wheel polishing? I was going to go with some small polishing heads that attach to a drill but I wanted to see what you thought. Thanks for all you do.
Love the vids Pan! I'm looking into applying Gyeon on some new wheels I got but I noticed the wheel finish on the spokes have a sorta sandpaper finish to them versus a smooth finish, could the Gyeon still be applied with no problem?
Great how-to Pan! One question; is it ok to use on the rest of the cars painted panels? (I have half of a bottle left that I don't want to go to waste)
With a spray-on, rinse coating (Gyeon Wet Coat) as this video focused more on showing how people who don’t have the equipment to do a wheels off treatment can still coat the faces of the wheels, and then use Wet Coat for the barrels.
Thanks to your wealth of knowledge Pan , I purchased at the Gyeon wheel cleaning products. I will tackle them tomorrow assuming it will require at least 3 hours. My wheels are deep dish 2019 Camaro LS1 wheels , and I still have not been able to find a long enough barrel brush to agitate the brake dust off of them without thrashing my knuckles.Any recommendations? I have the Karcher pressure washer but feel I need more reach with a long brush. Your expert opinion appreciated. BTW, this video is awesome!!

Yeah I don’t know if that’s normal. The car is only 10 months old with 10,000km. Mostly highway driving. All my previous cars did that too (BMW 435i, Audi S5). I’m wondering if that’s because of the insane Canadian winters?
Pan TheOrganizer curious of your thoughts. cleans up really well on mud break dust and road grime but not sure how to tell if it’s bad or ok to use on them. Is there specific properties you look for to make your decision?
This video is 3yrs old and I'm just watching it now. Are there any updated products to protect the rim that you recommend? If you have an udated video for a rim protector and you share it with me?
Hi Pan, i'm from Asia, been following ur detailing video for sometime.. its awesome and u did a great video on detailing vehicle up tot the tiniest detail.. After seeing ur video above on how to perform coating on wheel rims makes me eagerly to try out this Gyeon as well.. But, i have an issue, my rims have water spot.. Should i use Gyeon water spot remover first? Kindly advise which step i need to use before done the coating.. Your advise is much appreciates.
Pan TheOrganizer of course!! btw do you know if the ceramic coating would be safe to use on a satin black finish? verde axis wheels lol my friend got them for her lex but i didn’t know if she could use the same coating as me or not
Pan, full credit these are the best vids by far. Hope your able to help with this one... I have raw freshly polished BBS RC aluminium wheels (Nicely done, but not mirror finish). Car only leaves the garage for short spins when dry. Please can I ask.... 1. Are the following products suitable: Wax, Sealant, Ceramic coating, graphene coating. 2. Which product would you recommenced for best finish and easy maintenance? Many thanks bud..
Thanks for the kind words Andy. As per Gyeon's own statement: "There are various wheel rim types available on the market, e.g. wet painted, powder coated, anodized or polished. Q² Rim is an appropriate product to protect each and every one of them. Even the owners of models with polished rim lips have observed that the need to refresh the so-called mirror effect is significantly less frequent."
@@PanTheOrganizer Pan, appreciate the rapid reply, guess ceramic coating is the way forward then... These forums certainly cut out the guess work, thanks for the Q-Rim recommend. Cheers bud
I want to do this to a set of wheels that have a matte finish. Will this product make them shiny, or will it keep the original look to them? Great video by the way!
Yes they are pretty equivalent. At CarPro, it would be the DLUX wheel coating, which I applied on my own previous BMW in this video: ua-cam.com/video/dsCmJJDP3xo/v-deo.html
Definitely going to try this next! The front brakes on our AUDI make soot! Question on Gliss... did you use 1/2 of the Gliss 30ml bottle for your Bimmer? The CarPro website says one 30ml bottle is enough for 1 car. Maybe they mean if you do 2 coats? I followed your instructions on applying the ceramic coating (2 coats CQuartz UK) and then applied Gliss (1 coat). Thanks Pan!
Recently bought some new alloys so I had the luxury of being able to coat them before putting on car. I used CarPro Dlux and they have been maintaining them with hydro 2. Gloss is insane! Definitely agree it’s not as difficult as people may think, if I can do it anyone can 👌🏼
Hi Pan, very interesting video. Well appreciated. As you request, I'm using Carpro Quartz DLUX for my cars wheels & calipers. For maintenance I'm using Carpro HydrO2 as a rinse off coating. I'm doing so on the winters & summer wheels. I'll soon do the winter black summer wheels soon so they will be all ready for next summer. Thanks and have a nice day detailing the cars you loved. Frank
Hey Pan, during decontamination you suggest to use 2 products: Iron X + Tar remover. Why don't you recommend CarPro TRIX which does both in a single product and may save money?
Pan, you said to throw away the microfibre towels after using the ceramic coating... is it the case when applying Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic spray coating & ceramic wet wax?
Hi Pan, I have brand new wheels that arrived from Japan 2 days ago and just had new tires mounted onto them! They haven't been on a vehicle snd have been in bags since today. Do I need an iron remover before applying the ceramic coating on brand new wheels?
No need for iron remover if they're brand new and have never been on the road. Just clean them, use the IPA or paint prep (like Gyeon Prep) and then you're good to start coating.
@@PanTheOrganizer perfect. One final question, I'm using carpro dlux and I'll be applying it in my house ventilated. The temp my basement is at is usually 18-19c am I going to have to wait longer than 1 minutes? I'm told the colder it is the longer you have to wait before leveling
You will see as you apply. 18-19C is actually fairly close to the temperature I usually like working at (20C). If it gets too tacky, it means you waited too long. In those conditions, 30 sec to 1 min should be fine.
You can put the wheels back on the vehicle after the application. But don't drive the car, and don't expose to water or rain for 24 hours. Always follow the instructions.
Hi Pan, when we apply ceramic coating,do we throw away the products that we used to apply the ceramic coating? Just wanting to make sure. Greetings from 🇩🇪
I always throw away the towels and applicators used to apply ceramic coatings in glass bottles. Welcome to my channel. I’ve been waiting to apply Gyeon Rim on my new summer wheels for a while, for the reason that I’m not sure if I should apply it before or after putting on tires .. im guessing the coating can help avoid “possibly” scratching the new wheels, but will the tire install machine compromise the coating? Hmm

looks like a good cleaning process for my forgestars coming in! you always change products too hahaha so i always do whatever you are currently doing🤣
Heheh thanks for watching Jamie!
Pan TheOrganizer of course!! btw do you know if the ceramic coating would be safe to use on a satin black finish? verde axis wheels lol my friend got them for her lex but i didn’t know if she could use the same coating as me or not
CarPro DLUX and Gyeon Rim can both be used on satin finished wheels.
Il y aura une vidéo en français ?
Pas pour le moment.
Cheers bud
can u please suggest good wheel and tyre cleaner and also car soap

tu peu fait la video en francais stp? merci
Full gyeon detailing video next?😜 actually not found a singel video with full detailing only using gyeon.
Great video🤩
Thanks!!
Can you use on matte rims?
I want to do this to a set of wheels that have a matte finish. Will this product make them shiny, or will it keep the original look to them? Great video by the way!
It will keep the original matte look, just a richer, nicer finish. Don’t worry, it won’t add gloss
Hi Pan, what would be the equivalent products in the Car Pro line? And is the process the same with Car Pro?
Thanks Pan!
I applied one coat and didn't even use half a bottle of Gliss on my car.
Great way to spread the cost. The Gliss rags can be reused too, unlike the ceramic rags, right?
I throw them away.
Hey pan I'd love to hear what your thoughts are on the optimum clear coat restorer
I haven’t tested it yet but I hope to soon.
Recently bought some new alloys so I had the luxury of being able to coat them before putting on car. I used CarPro Dlux and they have been maintaining them with hydro 2. Gloss is insane! Definitely agree it’s not as difficult as people may think, if I can do it anyone can 👌🏼
There you go! Great choice of coating too! :)
Frank
Thanks François!
Hey Pan, during decontamination you suggest to use 2 products: Iron X + Tar remover. Why don't you recommend CarPro TRIX which does both in a single product and may save money?
I prefer separate products. Each product can focus on a specific task.
Can this be used on black matte wheel finishes without creating a shine?
Yes
Hi i come from denmark follow your feature every time.
Thanks Eli! Hi from Canada 🇨🇦!
Esoteric stated Gyeon Rim flash time is 10 to 15 seconds, did you have any issues buffing it off since you waited a bit longer ?
No issues. I work in a controlled environment with perfect temperature and humidity.
Pan, you said to throw away the microfibre towels after using the ceramic coating... is it the case when applying Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic spray coating & ceramic wet wax?
No
can you use this on chrome rims??
is there also something else i can use cause we dont have it in the Netherlands
What brands do you have access to? CarPro, Kamikaze, Gtechniq?
After applying Gyeon RIM how long should I wait before refitting the wheels to the car?
You can put the wheels back on the vehicle after the application. But don't drive the car, and don't expose to water or rain for 24 hours. Always follow the instructions.
Great Video x
Oldie but goodie as we say!
Can you please make a video on how to wash a vehicle with rust? I have a Silverado I’ll be washing here soon and it has some rust on the bedside.
would this work on chrome rims??
Pan what pressure washer do you use and have? And is it electric?
I have a high end electric Kranzle 1122TST pressure washer that I reviewed here: ua-cam.com/video/Cj4FDpKuORI/v-deo.html
Hi Pan, when we apply ceramic coating,do we throw away the products that we used to apply the ceramic coating? Just wanting to make sure. Greetings from 🇩🇪
I always throw away the towels and applicators used to apply ceramic coatings in glass bottles.

@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for the reply Pan 👍🏻
Thank you 🙏 good video 👍🏻
Thanks!
Hmm
Wait until your wheels are mounted to the tires.
Does it make sense using this if I get Turtle HCW?
This will be more durable on wheels for sure.
