Cannon Beach is beautiful. But good luck finding parking if you watch the weather report and visit on a sunny day. Half the people in the Portland area will have the same idea.
One plus that I would add, since I am an artist, is that it is an artists community. There are many galleries there, and many local artists sell their work there. I am taking my daughter to CB for her birthday in November, which I am so excited about! It is my favorite place on earth (so far). We both love stormy beach weather, so purposely chose that time of year. The beauty is unparalleled.
Don't disagree here. Cannon Beach is one of our favorite coast towns to visit. It does get too busy for us at times, and it is a bit higher end for us. But a great place to visit... And the sandcastle competition is a must see event... ;-)
I moved to Oregon 4years ago. I’m inland in a small town and I hate it. I’d love to move to a coastal town, but one of the problems we have here is lack of medical services. Where on the Oregon coast can you move to be closer to medical services?
Astoria, Tillamook, Lincoln City, Newport, Reedsport, Coos Bay, and Gold Beach all have hospitals, but most all towns either have or are not far from medical offices. Let us know if you have any other questions! info@thehometeambrokers.com
@@LivingOnTheOregonCoast I am very interested in moving to one of those cities then. I really need to get more knowledge. Here in my little town they allow people to burn their garbage and whatnot on their lots in the city limits. I don't want to make that mistake again. I never thought of 'back yard burns' in my due diligence endeavor. And property crime is bad here and druggies. Are you a realtor or a broker? Both? I know this is your business, to make money and survive. I have no problem with that and think it's great. But I have been 'taken' for a ride by scammers and hustlers. I just want a peaceful retirement. I need guidance and help maneuvering through the ropes.
@@debeeze1988 Wow! I’ve never heard of this being allowed, but we can definitely help get an answer about whether or not that’s something that is permitted. We are realtors and we help people buy/sell homes on the Oregon Coast. Give us a call/text at 503-974-0566 or shoot us an email at info@thehometeambrokers.com

Best beach town for most people, but high cost of homes. Manzanita, which is nearby, is a good alternative option.
Our cabin is in Arch Cape. Built in 46, purchased in 52. Aunt owned Morris Fireside house restaurant.
Arch Cape is awesome!!

You can’t swim in the Oregon coast too cold so sad
Get your wetsuit ready!
While I would tend to agree with you, I see people swimming here every year. Crazy? Yes... ;-)

Ha! Good catch. “About” was the operative word I guess.
