Hindus do not believe in converting because concepts of being superior or inferior is alien to our thinking when it comes faiths. As Swami Vivekananda proclaimed in his speech in Chicago, Hindus believe all religions are True. As per our Rishi Munis have said Truth is One, there are different paths to reach it. Our faith is correctly called Sanatana Dharma, the eternal code of life of righteousness which is termed Dharma. It is a universal thought as, at the fundamental level , ALL faiths share the same dharma as it is the universal truth. Wherever the thinking that my faith is superior to yours resides in the minds of the people, clearly they have been mislead. Everyone is God’s creation and it’s absurd to say or feel that God discriminates among his/her own creation.
This is the reason why we call Hinduism is a way of life. The traditions r handed down for millions of years for reasons which r for the welfare of human life , healthy life style in a holistic way. All these traditions r very artistically done too. Ayurveda is in Vogue across the world. In India Ayurvedic medicine is recognised as alternate health treatment.
I am from a south Indian traditional Brahmin family, even till now my parents and many many of my relatives follow this, me too.
In fact there are still plenty of things, for example.
Ever male learns cooking right from child hood, this helps during family hood, bachelor hood, or being as spinster, second example we never step inside the house with chappals on, third is we wash our hands and legs and face as we enter from outside, fourth we strictly follows restrictions for Lunar and Solar eclipses, etc., still there are plenty to be followed.
I'm from a north Indian brahmin household. My dad still has a waist length shikha. Strict janeu and ear piercing age. We are not allowed to eat onion and garlic. And chappals are not allowed inside our home. 😅

No. Just Peepal and Bargad (Banyan tree) give 24 hours of oxygen. Aloe-vera doesn't give it any time but is very good for healing injuries especially of mussels. Neem is good for stomach as it kills worms therein. It also improves blood counts in case of malaria and measles.
