That's what happens....when you deny someone of something he/she/an organisation comes up tougher and stronger and pulls the ground under their feet. The radiation in that belt will kill any human within seconds. All human space flights happen below that belt. If americans went to moon why didnt they go back again and again. How did they suddenly loose the technology. Nasa landed on moon way back in 60's but they cant land on mars. Nasa landed on moon when computers were in their infant stage. Nasa used a ballon like object to initiate soft landing of their rovar on mars. But way back in 60's they used engines to desend on moon not only with astronaughts but that heavy bulky man operated rover. And in their mars mission nasa found it challenging to land a tiny rover. The reason ISRO is so special and extreme pride is because ISRO was denied any help by all advanced countries when developing the rocket engines and rockets themselves ( Russia especially ). ISRO built everything from ground up! @jabykoay
That's what happens....when you deny someone of something he/she/an organisation comes up tougher and stronger and pulls the ground under their feet. This particularly happened with America when India successfully tested nuclear weapon in Pokhran in 1998. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam played a major role in this process.

They still did this kind of mission on the same budget lol... It might have been bigger unless we didnt have congress ruling us for past 50 years
K 2 Firstly, the first generation of political leaders for a newly independent country has to obviously do work. It is ridiculous to give credit to Nehru for all these things. Anyone in that position would have done atleast that much otherwise what is the point of holding such high position. But, it is a common belief that SC Bose or Sardar Patel would have done way better job than him. I agree with this belief.
If they had facilities like NASA they would just be NASA. Nobody's super human and look at the the things NASA has done, they're not too shabby.
ISRO Still does it.....
@K 2 you go study history... Nehru started many things... including issues of Jammu and Kashmir... the real foundation for ISRO was given by our learned scientist VIKRAM SARABHAI...

@@alucardhellsing1037 cliches reply. If you stop dreaming and dont push the envelope of possibilities the whole civilization will stagnate. History has taught us to keep exploring and so does the nature itself.
@@rondoyay7999 But Alucard is right though... yes we should go to Mars, but we should fix the problems on Earth like global warming and etc. first, after all, it would take a long time to terraform mars and we need to stay on Earth while it happens. @@prantik_007pc this is how cia uses nasa. Moon landing did not happen. When nixon was on phone call with astronauts there was no satellite orbiting the moon. Yet he was talking to astronauts. May be nasa layed landline cable to talk to them. Here is a video where a man is asking neil armstrong to put his hand on bible and swear that he walked on moon. Neil armstrong did not do it as he could not lie in front of the bible. m.ua-cam.com/video/gFSt-vcD6X/v-deo.html Moon landing it was faked here on earth by a guy called stanley kubrick. Master of front screen projection. Nasa has a big cgi departement that fakes a lot of things in space. All human space flights have been to low earth orbit. Search for van allen belt. So you mean to tell me nasa had far advanced technologies in 60's than they have today. Everything is fake
