in old time if you see ramayan or mahabharat you will find people who hate sadhu, they always try to kill them or put hurdles if they are doing pooja, so those people still there on earch in form of different religion. but that doesnt mean all are bad , but majority of the people interested conclude and it matters.
There is a place called mayapur in west bengal . When I first visited there I was amazed to see these foreigners , they were much more dharmik than anyone I knew at that time.
