Best car gift I ever got was back in the day when I just got my first car which was a 1998 Nissan Maxima, a friend of mine that I also kind of hustled with called me one day and told me to meet him at our neighborhood tuner/performance shop...when I pulled up he comes walking out with a bunch of boxes, and he had brand new aftermarket tail lights, LED running boards, and a new aftermarket grill. All of it was nice high end stuff that I wanted at the time, except I never really told him specifically what, or that I wanted those things. He just knew I was into the tuner scene (so was he), so he got them for me. Unfortunately years later, that car was destroyed in a street race, with the same guy that got me that stuff sitting in the passenger seat next to me - wasn’t really my fault tho, some guy blew a red light and I T-boned him.
only if they're good socks, which cheap novelty socks usually are not. those ones looked like the quality of a 98% scratchy polyester special that some startup would hand out at a job fair. i''m very specific about my socks. i only buy two kinds: winter and summer socks. A not the same brand pair of socks as the rest would mean i'd have to bother matching them and actually get sad when i can't find one of the socks because it stuck to something else in the wash
@@Thumper68 If you're a man you don't need to posture about being one by driving certain things. Had a friend make me a model of my old FR-S. Down to having acquaintances of his 3D print my wheels and body kit and everything. Definitely a BOAT gift.
A friend of mine once owned a RHD (in Britain) White De Tomaso Pantera with gold split rim Revolution 5 spoke wheels. I bought a standard model kit of a Tomaso, converted it to RHD made the correct style rear wing and body kit to his old car and machined from brass and aluminium scale correct rims. I was given a non running project car. A 98 dodge stratus. I accepted it graciously because the first car I ever bought was a 97 dodge stratus. Just to make it street worthy, I had to replace the water pump and battery. Still need new tires and a new windshield. But I have started compiling a wish list for the other parts, headlights, body kit, turbo kit for the 2.4L motor. Thanks to Money pit, I have the list I need and advice to start this project. Thank you all for what you do.
Got a gas gift card for my birthday. As a Biker I can use for almost half a year, one of the best gifts ngl.
Also detailing stuff is awesome, we love things like this, you will never go wrong with these.

"Nice tools" *shows a picture of black + decker" bruh...
can you explain? i'm new to this stuff
That's what I was thinking lol
The editor just Google tools, they're probably not a car person lol
Black and Decker ain't bad. Though DeWalt, Hilti, and Bosch are top tier.
@Angel Dust not a gendered tool asshat... It's for very light and basic house work

Wow, I got a Donut Media ad before a Donut Media video while I’m rocking my Oil Crisis gear.
Couldn't be more wrong about the "Clutch Gas" socks. Socks, no matter the brand or design, are always the best Christmas gift.
only if they're good socks, which cheap novelty socks usually are not.
those ones looked like the quality of a 98% scratchy polyester special that some startup would hand out at a job fair.
i''m very specific about my socks. i only buy two kinds: winter and summer socks. A not the same brand pair of socks as the rest would mean i'd have to bother matching them and actually get sad when i can't find one of the socks because it stuck to something else in the wash
Problem is soy boys now days don’t know what a clutch is lol
@@Thumper68
If you're a man you don't need to posture about being one by driving certain things. If the only reason you drive a manual is to prove you're a man, then that's just sad. a man who drives auto because he doesn't give a shit gets more respect from me than one who drives stick to prove a point about masculinity.
You're allowed to like things without putting other people down for not liking the same things.
@@arsenalfanatic09 easy snowflake did my joke ruffle your feathers. What’s sad is your reaction and assumptions all over a joke. You earn respect. Your reactions for you going backwards lol
@@Thumper68 your 'joke' was shit and made me sad for all the people who think they have to be macho. It wasn't really a joke since i bet you do think people who don't like driving manual transmissions are less manly. it's not a joke to literally state your opinion using recent slang like 'soyboy'.
You come off as quite insecure since you have to justify your hobbies as being masculine.
if you like driving manual, then that's good for you. But shitting on other people for not liking it is quite immature and stupid.
reminds me of a kindergarten argument about why batman is better than superman. Or when people fought in middle school about playstation being 'gayer' than xbox.

James: I am over miatas
Me: hmmm suddenly I am over miatas *deletes Amazon list*
I work in a tire shop, one of my past co-workers had a “show me your TTs” shirt with two turbos covering the breast area. He absolutely loved it. To the point that he would wash it every night just so he could wear it almost every day. Not really my taste, but those “harrharrhurrdurr, lookit how clever I am with car stuff” shirts certainly have their market...
exactly!! i’d go crazy for the miata slippers (in pink or baby blue) haha
“Tracking your car is easy” yeah if you don’t live in the middle of nowhere lol
I actually have the emergency battery thing you showed. It works really well and has saved everyone in my family who has an unreliable vehicle :)

I got a VW coffee mug one year and I was pretty excited about it... I’m also the person that bought it and wrapped it for myself.
"a DSM eclipse rotting away in your backyard"
I SEE THIS ONE DSM SO MUCH AND ITS JUST SITTING IN A PARKING LOT ROTTING AWAY AND I WANT IT
Put a note on it and see if they’ll text or email you. Someone did that to one of my families cars and we almost sold it to them
I just did that with a manual 2004 civic si that stayed inside for 2 years without running and tracked the owner and bought it for 350$, do it man it's worth it

The portable Jump starter would be up in the Dece section if it was a high quality one for someone who works on cars professionally, or even does multiple side jobs. Working at the dealer or even mom and pop shops over the years finding one was in pain at times, especially one that was kept charged!
Had a friend make me a model of my old FR-S. Down to having acquaintances of his 3D print my wheels and body kit and everything. Definitely a BOAT gift.
I would kiss my friend on the lips if they did that for me lol
Any idea what’s the name of the company they used?
@@B6jfkmx They were just people who had 3-D printers and were skilled. It wasn’t any company or anything
I am a pretty accomplished model builder and I won't deny I was MEGA proud of my efforts. It looked awesome. He stuffed it on the back of a shelf and within a year the trash. I haven't seen him for over 10 years now.
