You can easily spend more on shift knobs without purposefully trying to waste money. Back when the BRZ first launched in 2012, I got a custom etched titanium teardrop shaped one with the Miami Dolphins logo on it, pretty sure I spent around $350 for all the machining options. It came out looking like a piece of art and feels great in the hand, unlike what I'd imagine that wooden danger noodle feels like..

A heavy shift knob is a must, especially if you have a short shifter. I had a 2lb RaceSeng knob in my speed6 and the weight alone was enough to make the 2-3 and 3-4 shift
