You're biased on electric ... FX 131kg, thats my scooter, Freeride350 99kg my dirt bike. The StormBee 126kg is rather on the FX side imao - Hi from Geneva
@@oldsoul1566 Unfortunately the FX is not engineered properly for heavy offroad use. Imo the FX is not in the same category. There will be compromises to weight to get usable range with current battery tech. Keeping it as light as possible is key but It’s a juggling act. It’s gotta make a moto as well.
Greeeeat points! Try filling up a gas bike at home lol. Can't do it! How inconvenient. That 100km range isn't too bad, and it charges faster than I expected. Now all I have to ask is.. will it wheelie??
i saw it doing burn outs too, lex test it please! even though i don't think the dealer will be happy, but it's a key selling point for some people for sure
I would love to have an electric bike, BUT until they don't have at least the same range as internal combustion bikes (regardless of the weather) it's a huge compromise, not mentioning track use... Without home charging capability, I refuse to spend 1.5 hrs or even 30 mins at a charging station every second day or so (with daily commuting). Maybe in 10 yrs or so they will make more sense.
I see a lot of these Storm Bee videos on youtube, but nobody will say how much range it will get if you weigh 240 lbs. I weigh 240 lbs, if I buy a Storm Bee, how far can I ride it before I run out of charge, at half throttle to full throttle.
Thanks 😁 To be honest it was a Rhode studio mic. Usualy i record with the sena but this time i upload the vid in german and english. Thats why i did a voice over.
I don't think I rode as long as you did, but I really enjoyed the STORM Bee..it's a great, lightweight commuter and play-bike with lots of torque for such a small package. Once we get bikes this size with 15kwh energy density and DCFC, it will be heaps more useable as a weekend adventure bike and longer range tourer :)
I moved my stuff and curently im overbussy with other projects. Vids will come soon again but with a little differend content cuz great changes will come soon. The steering part.. you can measure at your bike i guess it was 10mm thin. most holder have adaptive sizes. So they wil probably all fit.
Nope the street legal version will be definitely an A limited (CH) A2 (DE) M1 (US) motorcycle. The demo bike did 100kmh with a offroad gear ratio. Klar geht auch Deutsch aber dann is nicht mehr lustig ;)
@@LexSummer the Storm Bee will be sold ready for road registration, it weights to much to be compared to a dirt bike. It is the correct weight and power to be compared to bikes like the KLX250, CRF250L and the WR250R as a true dual sport bike. This is why range needs to be measured at a worse case scenario of 100kph on a highway so that we can see the maximum traveling range as opposed to the mixed riding range because the range at 100kph is going to be way less then what we can get trail riding. This is why it is so important in order to make an informed choice about the storm bee 🐝
Spot On. Weight is incredibly important! Great Video man!
Thanks electro breh 😎✌🏼

@@LexSummer I have an electric bicycle giant I wanted to plan the holiday trip via a charging point app😎👍
Great review as always Lex. Sur ron makes excellent E-dirt bikes and the Storm Bee raises the bar once again🐝
Thanks for doing the reviews, great for us in the USA looking for English information.
We need more Storm Bee content!
😊 Thanks... will see which brand let me ride his bike... i will do more content 4 sure.
6:04 it's about sustainability, you have to make some compromise is not bad is not better is just different you have to adapt

Haha. Ye how inconvenient 🤣👍🏼 so true.
I don't know if it will wheelie. It depends on Sur-Ron.
hell yeah it does! more than you probably prefer!
Great video! I’m really hoping we can get these road registered in the USA, I would really like to own one!
Thanks, I have one on order. "Steve's Bikes"
Hello nice video, is it possible to take out the batterie and charge it outside the frame?
interesting video, thanks! So if you go somewhere you have to take the charger in a backpack or so? How much does it weigh? Thanks! subscribed 😎
I hope there will be a good solution. But the setup is not definitive. Could change many things till production. Will see.
nice video 🤙🤙
cant wait to try this bike out! how much did you pay for the bike? is there a safety if the bike fall over/ crash so the gass dont hang up?

I suggest do do your own experience. Your doubts about chargeing are typical. But the reality is different... dare to try it.
Is the battery easily removable ?
What is the price ?

Nope ECR did a good oone and io can say out of experience its about 50km 30 miles max. but its super fun to ride.
Beautiful scenery, where is this buddy?
This is the italian part of switzerland... This place is well known for vacation.
I want an electric dirt bike.
how much and where from ?
Great video man! Let's show us an off-road riding one 🧨
Good video mate
Thanks. Im glad you found your info.
Nice videos on the Storm Bee! The helmet microphone sounds good, what is it?

New vid soon?
BTW,what size do you need to fit Sat Nav holder on steering yoke( on the Ego)?

How much is that motorcycle worth and where can I buy it? I'm from New York, thank you, blessings.
It's based on a Sur-Ron Light Bee. All mod parts you will find in the link below ⬇️
It has more range the the ktm freeride ?
Ask the dealer about specs.
LEX! Doing it again with the sexy! When are you going to ship one of those to New Zeroland and do a collab video with him?
To be honest... I hope the next winter... But we will see... A lot changes will come...
how much is the speed of the motorcycle
As advertised 110kph
نبغى عندنا محل يبيعه في شروره
Is just 200£ ? I cannot belive
I'll stay with gas models as long as their available
how much does it cost?
I'm not selling this bikes... i really have no idea how much Sur-Ron will charge for it.
Price is near $/€ 10,000. AUD$14k.
Nice looking bike! Heard it weighs 280lbs though... way too much
For me it felt backflipable. Its not to heavy. At the end your skils are the limitation anyways.
🔥🔥
oh i love that bike and im still waiting hyped for the release
Me to im wondering how the final bike will be like to ride.
@@LexSummer lol spreche deutsch🤣 hoffe einfach das die straßenversion nicht irgendwie nur 25kmh oder so fahren darf

Nothing green about electric, I still don't understand why folks believe such nonsense...
It's a total fallacy that 99% of people seem to fall for.
Goood
Heya man
No dc fast charger, no buy. What a joke.
This video is so preachy. Everyone knows the storm bee is awesome you don't have to spend 10 minutes defending it.
Range must be measured at 100KPH otherwise it is a worthless figure!
Sure. Meanwhile some dirtbikes can't even reach that speed 🤣🙈

Range at 31 mph (50 km/h) is estimated at 60 miles (100 km) based on the 4.6 kWh battery.
Garbage...it doesn't matter how fast or how much power these electric motorcycles have they all suffer from the same problem......range
