Props to Ryan for finding this insane story! It's like a Netflix documentary series I'd totally watch! Fun fact in December of last year my brother got his identity stolen and he recieves SSD and his money went to some f**king guy in Florida, who intercepted the payment( we have no idea how) and we had to prove for months that my brother was actually my brother. He didn't get his check for MONTHS. He lives with me so essentially I didn't see any money towards the house, his care, nothing. It was like they actually didn't believe he was who he was even with all the proof. So yes the real Woods was homeless but this can happen to anyone and proving you are who you are to the government isn't always easy. In this past april, we finally received his money.
Ryan is good at telling the compelling stories for sure. Sorry you and your brother/family went through that. That really sucks, yet glad it is finally getting resolved. It would be nice if the government gave your brother the back pay that he is owed and in a timely manner. And that the random guy in Florida who committed the ID theft caught a charge and served time for screwing up your lives with his shady criminal acts.

Its just crazy how crazy the world works. How crazy technology developed and still is. Its crazy how this whole case is over a 30 year time span. The whole family he made is suffering from such a situation as this. But like what bart said, the kids and connections are real. This is such a intriguing and crazy story .
