Yeahhhhhh Part 7 Jason!!!! The best Jason has EVER looked!!!! With the funniest kill in the series: the Sleeping Bag Kill! In the uncut version, the sleeping bag has Jason hit her against the tree like 6 times lmfao
My thoughts exactly. It's kinda sad people don't know originals that new things draw huge inspiration from, because without Carrie there'd be no Eleven.
I absolutely love the stunts in the movie! The porch hitting him almost killed Kane Hodder, but the mask sliding down the stairs actually saved his life.
I thought it was the stairs that almost killed him, because he was mere cm away from hitting the real steps as he fell too far down? Although with how dangerous the Friday series productions were I wouldn't be surprised if both are true

This is the BEST looking Jason out of all of his looks. I have a whole cosplay of this. Doesn't look *too* good but i like breaking out every halloween.
My unofficial head canon for this sort of thing is. "Jason just wants to be left alone and listens only to his mother. He rarely takes it personal and only kills to keep people away from his territory. However, sometimes, rare times, people do things that he actually takes personally." In this case. The way the doctor was acting, probably pissed Jason off. So, he went to get something 'special' to deal with the guy. So, the doctor didn't get away the first time. He was simply given a reprieve while Jason found a special toy to play with. It's seen sometimes in these movies that particularly douchey people, especially dudes who bully or otherwise throw people under the bus to save their own butts, get special deaths. Sure, it's probably just fan service... of a sort, but its nice to see... which is probably one of the most disturbing things I have ever typed. I might be the one who needs therapy.
@@fireeaglefitnessmartialart935 But as to what @scottiefutch6073 was saying--that did mightily piss Jason off that Crews did that. I also think that Jason didn't appreciate it that Crews took Jason's warning and hid it from everyone. Jason put that spike there for a reason--to tell everyone to get the fuck out. He doesn't immediately begin wiping everyone there out--he gives them a day or so. And have you noticed that at the very end of the movie, Jason assaults Nick and Tina with kid's gloves? It's like Jason DOESN'T want to kill Tina. That he's more fascinated by her? I mean, Nick empties a gun into Jason and he just shoves him back. When Jason picks up Tina to throw her, he EASILY could have ripped her arm off but didn't. And then when Jason leans over just before Tina's Dad [in reality, just chains] break through the dock, it's not in a threatening, aggressive manner.

The "Ki ki - Ma ma" doesn't really mean anything. Harry Manfredini was messing around with an Echoplex during production of the first film and making random sounds and he just happened to like how creepy it sounded when he took the first parts of "kill" and "mama" and ran them through the 'plex. If you've ever heard EVH's Eruption from the first album, the warbly sound toward the end as it's fading out...that's also done with an Echoplex. Happy Birthday, Roxy! 🥳🎂🌹
One and done but originally was supposed to be 7 hits to the pole with blood flying everywhere but the MPAA told them to tone it down along with guy getting his head squeezed like a grape or rotten apple
it’s really awesome to see both of you slowly but surely falling in love with the franchise. wasn’t an instant love for you like Freddy and Chucky I think but a fun journey
Tina’s house blowing up was for real. It was just a shell house built in Alabama for the film as was the cabin next door. They used the “Jarvis” house from part 4 in Topanga Canyon for some establishing shots and when the character Robin gets thrown thru the window.
And if I recall they over loaded the house with explosives to the point you see the sonic boom in the film and I think melted some of the cameras due to the high temperature from the fire
I got Kane Hodder's autograph at a convention years ago when I was in my teens. He was super cool and nice. He even opened up his bottom lip to show me the tattoo he had inside his mouth. It was just one word. "Murderer." On the headshot, he signed his name followed by, "to Orlando, you're next."
I love that you both appreciated this film! I always dig this one for the Stephen King vibes and the core cast. I think Tina is the strongest final girl of this franchise and Kane Hodder brings such a new and impressive energy to Jason, which would cement him with the character.
It's awesome to see that you guys loved this one, it's one of the more disliked entries in the series I feel, but it's always held a special place in my heart and I've always loved it to bits, the Jason design for this is seriously so awesome and iconic
Jason looks so badass in this one...well except when the mask comes off, his buck teeth are completely showing, and peach smoothie is spewing out of his skull...but badass in general 🤣
I agree, I thought he looked badass af in this. And to be honest, I always thought Jason looked more menacing & honestly even scarier with his mask off. Before this, we've never seen him THAT pissed off. I remember hoping that one day we'd see Tommy Jarvis & Tina Shepard return and team-up in a sequel. I think that would've been pretty cool, shame we never got that.
This is my favourite installment in the series. The story was a bit blotchy but mostly a 1980's thing which can't be helped. But the kills were great, Tina was a cool character, the practical effects for Jason were top notch and some of the stunt work was great. The movie is also quite short which gives a better pace and also developes characters quickly which works well for any audience. Plus, that explosion near the end was powerful, that cabin got absolutely destroyed.
Fun Facts: Producer Ian Paterson and fans have given this entry the nickname “Frigay The 13th”, due to it being the cast with the most openly lesbian and gay actors. Jeff Bennett, Susan Blu, William Butler, Craig Thomas, and Kevin Spirtas were all out during filming. Kevin Spirtas and Lar Park Lincoln didn’t get along during filming, but would later become good friends.
Tina killed her father before Jason was drowned by Tommy Jarvis, the scene of her childhood took place separately but was meant to show that her father died in Crystal Lake and now they have returned to the lake after Jason was confined in the lake.
Correction, Tommy drowns Jason on July 13, 1990 and Tina kills her father October 13, 1990. So Jason had just been in the lake a few months when Tina is seen as a young child (10 years old). Tina returns to Crystal Lake at the age of 17, seven years after Jason was drowned by Tommy and she had killed her father.
@@Mr10before9 No, not quite. "Jason Lives" takes place in 1992 when Tommy is 20. "The New Blood" takes place in 1998. Jason had JUST been chained to the bottom of the lake (he didn't drown) when Tina killed her father.
I always wanted to see Tommy & Tina team up for a sequel, that would've been pretty cool to see, shame we never got to see that. It would've connected the other films a bit more.
them saying they think Eleven from Stranger Things must have been based on this. wait til they watch Carrie, they gonna be like oh that's what Stranger Things based her off of.
I also was thinking "Where have I seen this guy?", but then you mentioned "Bloodstone" and "Bloodlust". They're not video games, it's the 2nd and the 3rd parts of the "Subspecies" franchise. It's low-budget although cool and atmospheric vampire flick, that was shot in actual Transylvania. You should definitely watch'em someday - they are super-fun, especially because of the main antagonist Radu. He's creepy and campy the same time. One of the most unique vampire performances in cinema history.

At 44:27, Kane Hodder who plays Jason Voorhees in the film actually suffered terrible burns from doing this stunt. Look him up! He is an awesome actor and plays Jason all the way up to Freddy Vs. Jason :)
The filmmakers nicknamed this one "Jason VS Carrie" ( CARRIE/ 1976) during pre-production. The reason why New Blood was so heavily edited was due to the kills being extremely gory as you can obviously tell ftom Bew Blood's off timing editing and sound cuts . . MPAA got more strict at the time of shooting pt. 7 and with studios transiting to rhe more popular psychological thrillers goung into the 90s ...But as little kid first watching this with my crazy cousins on 88, I so enjoyed seeing Jason FINLLEY getting his a$$ handed to him by Tina's telekinesis . She's not connected to Jason in any way. She used her power to kill her father. years later, she uses her powers to bring back her father, but mistakenly brings back Jason instead. You guys really do OVERTHINK certain aspects of these movies.😆
It's why you're so easily confused so often.
Yes they really do. It gets quite annoying after a while. Because I’m like “……WHAT?! How did you come to THAT conclusion?” With some stuff.
No need to be mean dog
@@stevenightfall6634 CAT. LMAO you're a mess.
I generally just "get around" to watching reaction vids, but I absolutely look forward to watching you both react to these movies with fresh eyes.
Love this
I love that Tara is excited for Jason Takes Manhattan, little does she know 😂
Jason kicks a boom box in Manhattan
@@anthonyabrego9185 - Jason activates his ninja stalking powers, lol 😉
More like Jason takes a boat
Oh...that is right, that one is coming up next 😮💨
Isn't Manhattan the one he gets his teleport powers?
Jason takes Manhattan is the next film in the series.
Fun fact : the diner owner that Jason slams into the wall
Plays Jason in Freddy vs Jason.
So happy my Shejects got to my favorite Friday the 13th movie and this movie started Kane Hodder playing Jason from 7 to Jason X. Awesome review my lovely Shejects and this is my favorite look of Jason too. You guy's are awesome love my Reject family. Thank you so much for all the hard work and dedication to bring us Reject/Shejects fans. Stay safe and blessed ❤ have a great day. And Roxy Jason Takes Manhattan is next 😉
Yes, SheJect Nation joygasms. So stoked to see you continuing to Slash, Slaughter, and Slay these reactions.
You should send some couple male dancer to Roxy house 🗿🗿🗿

I love you two. Roxy was so cute leaning in and hanging on to Tara for this one. 😂🥰
18:36 The sleeping bag kill!!! 😂😂😂😂
Probably the most famous kill in the franchise, other than Kevin Bacon getting stabbed from underneath the bed in the first movie.
@darthroden Facts, along with my favorite, Mark's hatchet to the face causing him and his wheelchair to roll down those steps in the rain.
This is the 1st Friday the 13th movie featuring Kane Hodder as Jason Voorhees
kane hodder is the BEST!!!
Voorhees
This is also the first Friday The 13th movie that I ever got to see in the movie theater.
This is also the first Friday The 13th movie that I ever got to see in the movie theater.
Tell these fools in your comments that the term special effects was around way before cgi
She’s NOT connected to him. She’s powerful all in her own, she just accidentally freed him trying to bring her dad back
This is my favorite sequel in the franchise. The makeup on Jason is best in franchise. The battle between Jason and Tina is the best
56:58 The nudity remains intact in this and all Friday the 13th movies. It's the violence that had to be censored to earn an "R" rating.
Fun Fact: Crazy Ralph was the narrator at the beginning of this movie.
Maybe watch the whole video before you put up a fact they already see in the reaction 😂
57:00 regarding the censoring, Roxy’s instincts on the sleeping bag kill earlier were correct, the original scene had many more hits.
Love that this movie is the unofficial Carrie Vs Jason movie nohody ever wanted
I got Kane Hodder's autograph at a convention years ago when I was in my teens. He was super cool and nice. He even opened up his bottom lip to show me the tattoo he had inside his mouth. It was just one word. "Murderer." On the headshot, he signed his name followed by, "to Orlando, you're next."
Isn't it "Kill" he has tattooed on his lip?
@@ConstantineFurman I'm pretty sure it's murderer. I'm sure there's an interview out there that will show what it is exactly.
@@orlandoruizjr3834 I've seen him show it plenty of times, but it says "Kill." I'm wondering if he changed it. At one point anyway, it was "Kill."
@ConstantineFurman your may be right. I probably just remember it wrong. Kane is awesome either way.
I love that you both appreciated this film! I always dig this one for the Stephen King vibes and the core cast. I think Tina is the strongest final girl of this franchise and Kane Hodder brings such a new and impressive energy to Jason, which would cement him with the character.
I think this one might be my personal favorite (at least, next to the first 3 films).
That chick with telekinesis was badass.
Tina the legend.
It's awesome to see that you guys loved this one, it's one of the more disliked entries in the series I feel, but it's always held a special place in my heart and I've always loved it to bits, the Jason design for this is seriously so awesome and iconic
Thank you for taking the time to watch them Roxy and Tara. You guys are the best.
You’re the best
The actor playing Jason is Kane Hodder personally my favorite Jason!
Loving going on the Friday the 13th ride with you ladies! I always look forward to Thursdays!
The mother was the voice of Smurfett in the Smurfs from the 80's cartoon.
and the voice of arcee in transformers
43:46 “Yesss… We got more juice in there she got a lot of juice down there she could use” I’m cracking up 😂😭
Jason looks so badass in this one...well except when the mask comes off, his buck teeth are completely showing, and peach smoothie is spewing out of his skull...but badass in general 🤣
Told y’all this one was my favorite!!!! Loved to see you two enjoy it!!!! ❤
The GOAT Jason design and actor.
fax my boy
WooHoo! Another great one. Thanx so much.. Happy B Day Roxy! WISH you Many more!!!
The man who plays the doctor is Bernie. In weekend at Bernie’s
Just FYI, special effects does indeed refer to practical. VISUAL effects refers to CGI.
If the MPAA didn't butcher this entire movie, this would have been a candidate of being potentially the best Friday the 13th sequel in my opinion.
For sure, apparently there was an unrated cut that was destroyed so we are sadly never gonna see that version
@@miketrapper0464 Upscaling the deleted low quality workprint scenes might be like one of the very few positive uses for AI
@@jesusramirezromo2037 maybe
100% agree with you, @ramio1983!
Lar park Lincoln was said to be a distant relative of abraham Lincoln and Tom.hanks😮
Probably the most censored of the F13 films. So many of the kills were significantly more violent/gory.
Oh Jason Takes Manhattan is very real lol
Fun Facts:
Producer Ian Paterson and fans have given this entry the nickname “Frigay The 13th”, due to it being the cast with the most openly lesbian and gay actors. Jeff Bennett, Susan Blu, William Butler, Craig Thomas, and Kevin Spirtas were all out during filming.
Kevin Spirtas and Lar Park Lincoln didn’t get along during filming, but would later become good friends.
Rox done called this man Freddy Michael and chucky… his name is Jason
Tina is by far the ultimate final girl in all the slasher history.
💯
The sleeping bag kill is one of my faves of the entire series. Its iconic to me.
Tina killed her father before Jason was drowned by Tommy Jarvis, the scene of her childhood took place separately but was meant to show that her father died in Crystal Lake and now they have returned to the lake after Jason was confined in the lake.
No, Jason was under the lake for a decade
This movie technically should take place in the late 90's lol
@@jesusramirezromo2037 the timeline of this franchise is too confusing
You guys are making my Thursdays!
26:08 Yes? What? My names David. What do you want? LOL
LOL 😂
I legit get excited Thursdays to rewatch these with yall. I grew up with these movies
Second Friday the 13th film in the zombie/deadite era. Personally this look is his best, loved the exposed bone and rotting nature of Jason.
So sorry to hear what you went through Tara. I understand where you are coming from having gone through it myself has a child. Heart goes out to you
the idiom is "two shakes of a lamb's tail" yes, it makes tons of sense.
Shejects vs Jason is the Friday the 13th sequel we’ve all been waiting for
them saying they think Eleven from Stranger Things must have been based on this. wait til they watch Carrie, they gonna be like oh that's what Stranger Things based her off of.
Don't forget about Matilda
@@tabaributler2225 Matilda was great, kinda underrated IMHO. I remember Emma Roberts made a reference to her on American Horror Story: Coven.

Great reaction I can’t wait for you guys to watch. Jason takes Manhattan.
Pretty sure Tara drives around with a trunk full of “weapons” on the reg….being caught w/out one is obviously high priority for her 😂
So fun fact. I'm a paramedic and the original ambulances were hearses. They'd either get you to the hospital or take you to the morgue.
This film is GREAT
I also was thinking "Where have I seen this guy?", but then you mentioned "Bloodstone" and "Bloodlust".
Funny that yall loved the couple in this one because they very famously did NOT get along offscreen lol
I think they said he was gay too and a couple other male actors in the cast.I was waiting for Roxy to bring that up when she does the research at the end
Kane Hodder is the best Jason and I will die on that hill. He’s also the sweetest person to talk to and his life story is quite amazing. He’s lucky to be alive after his stunt accident years ago.
38:51 Jason is a deadite. His mother had the Necronomicon in her house
Spoilers😮
One of my favorite sequels I love the Carrie feel to this one
There they go again mispronouncing the actors name. First Robert Englund then Kane Hodder. 😂
Been waiting for this one since the start of the series, it's my favourite movie of the saga!
Roxy asking zo many questions about the exact same movie Tara watching. 😂
Great reaction! By the way, those were tent spikes that Jason was using! Keep up the great work, horror dudettes!
BEFORE Freddy vs Jason
there was Jason vs Carrie White😊
I'm just in time for it to start, love my shejects, here we go another, always love your reactions, Tara and Roxy. Please ask Greg if you could do a reaction to all the scream movies. It would be so great to watch
I watched this series in the very early 90's as a kid (my local video store would let anybody rent anything). I've really enjoyed watching you both work you way through the franchise, it's like I'm seeing it again brand new through you both.
At 44:27, Kane Hodder who plays Jason Voorhees in the film actually suffered terrible burns from doing this stunt. Look him up! He is an awesome actor and plays Jason all the way up to Freddy Vs. Jason :)
the ost when Tina use her powers is creepy and epic at the same time.
7 and with studios transiting to rhe more popular psychological thrillers goung into the 90s
...But as little kid first watching this with my crazy cousins on 88, I so enjoyed seeing Jason FINLLEY getting his a$$ handed to him by Tina's telekinesis .
Still a fun horror classic in my books , ladies, fun reactions
