It's up to you which one you watch next. If you want to go chronological order, you'll want Freddy vs Jason next, if you're going by release dates, Jason X would be next.
Creighton Duke and his girlfriend were at Crystal Lake when Jason killed her and Duke vowed to get revenge. There was also a scene with the Necronomicon from Evil Dead, but you spoke over the scene. This will tie in to a comic titled Freddy vs Jason vs Ash. There was a sequel titled Freddy vs Jason vs Ash The Nightmare Warriors.
Watch FREDDY VS JASON next. It was the goal of this watch series and you both have earned it. But when you're done, watch JASON X. It's schlocky sci-fi horror that knows what it is and you'll have fun with it. It doesn't connect with the canon of FREDDY VS JASON at all so it's probably better to leave it for last.
So with the inclusion of the Necronomicon, there are theories that emerged that the reason Jason was still alive and didn't end up drowning after all in the 50s is because his mother used the book in an attempt to bring him back. This essentially makes Jason a deadite of sorts or fused with a similar entity. This also explains how he could spontaneously be resurrected by lightning since he already is supernatural in nature. I believe they furthered this in Freddy vs Jason vs Ash
Also the very dagger that was used on Jason was a main weapon in Ash vs Evil Dead. Handy weapon to have if wanna whack Deadites without making too much of a mess.
Freddy vs J vs Ash!! Lets get it done but make it dark & brutal with sprinkling of Bruce Campbell humor. Limited CGI & great practical effects! That’s what I want to see.
Tara and Roxy watching "Freddy's Dead" The final nightmare. "He's not dead" "There he is right there!" When does Freddy die?" "This whole movie better take place with Freddy being dead!" "I agree! Freddy better not even be in this movie!" "It's called Freddy's Dead but he's been in the whole movie!" I'm confused!"
OMG... right? I love Tara and Roxy.... but I don't know, the hyperfication on a super literal interpretation of the title was just not it for me.... Crystal Lake was set in New Jersey, they've been in Hell for the entire franchise
That last scene with Freddy’s hand grabbing the mask was such a big deal when I was in school…. It made so many kids plead with their parents to let them watch an R movie…. It was a crossover we never thought we’d get but always thought about…. Life was simple back then ☺️
The finger breaking scene... while not practical, Duke was testing Steven's resolve and commitment to the fight. Notice after reluctantly offering his hand the first two times, on the third time, Steven defiantly and without fear offers his hand. This showed Duke this guy wasn't gonna flake out.
It's one of the few good scenes in the movie and it feels like it belongs in a better movie. And both actors deserved better than much of what this movie gives them.

Yes, it is. It takes place after "Freddy vs. Jason." Writer Todd Farmer said they specifically set the movie up like that so it wouldn't step on the toes of whatever New Line was doing with "Freddy vs. Jason."
Oh, no. Don't put that out there. They'll seriously think that Jason X will be as deep, interesting, well acted and great as Logan is. Logan is a masterpiece and Jason X. Well, we don't talk about that round here much. It's kind of a dirty secret.
I always liked this one. It was just different, even though there isn't much Jason in it. Back in the day I had to hunt down all these movies on VHS. The hard part was getting all of them in the uncut versions. Took a while, but I managed. After this ending, which I watched probably somewhen in the mid to late 90s I always waited for the Freddy - Jason crossover. That happened eventually...but it took a while. Jason X, which comes next, is much hated. But again...I got a soft spot for that one. Has several really fun (and funny) scenes.

The couple who were having sex in the tent and got taken out by Jason used to date and they talked about how it was weird for them to do the sex scene since they had a bad break up prior to shooting.
Didn’t they break up after this movie
@@miketrapper0464 Before. That's why they said it was super uncomfortable to do the sex scene together.
@@marcusmcgill4423 oh that’s worse, dead meat said it was after the movie
@@miketrapper0464 Watch the documentary "Crystal Lake Memories" where the cast and crew talk about each film of the franchise. The actor himself talks about it in detail.
The hook ending with the Freddy glove pulling Jason in was the best part of the movie for me.
Jason X is next and is a fucking fun ride
I love that you guys are such cinephiles and lovers of storytelling that you look for deeper meanings and connections in the films you watch. I love you guys and you’re always spot on. But sometimes, especially with this genre, you just gotta take things at face value.
Out of everything I don’t like about this movie, the biggest offense is the shaving scene.
So Jason Voorhees is gonna stop and shave a man because he won’t transfer himself into a new body unless it is clean shaven?
Honestly, WTF?!
Considering the coroner had a mustache himself! 🤦♂️
It's a terrible movie. The effects are the only element in the movie worth pay attention to. The rest makes little to no sense whatsoever.
holy shit, eating people? is he in hell already? Tara looks tired and ready to fall asleep and Roxy looks so lost that she's about to fall out her chair. I have to say this was a hard one to get through. I seen this when it first came out, maybe 11 or 12 yrs old. i had no problem following the lore and what was going on.
them thinking the whole movie is set in hell for some reason is super painful
@@MrCageCat If you never seen it before how you know what to expect? Just cos you a Jason fanboy doesn't mean everyone else knows what to expect.
@@kevthepoet you're simpin right now chief🤦♂️
@@battleaxe8252 okay, tell me how you'd know if you never seen it chief.
Common sense? Nothing in the film even slightly indicates that it takes place in hell, I never seen a single person ever think that @@kevthepoet
@@kevthepoet “Jason Goes to Hell. Final Friday” that title indicates that Jason will die at the end of the movie & go to Hell.
You can’t just go to hell like it’s down the block.
The title “Jason takes Manhattan” everyone thought Jason would be in New York the whole movie. Cause that’s an actual place to go to.
Get it now?
This was the first time a "Purge!" actually got me 😭😭😂😂
Oooo hell ya
And only by the hands of a Voorhees will he die.--- okay. Yeah, this movie happened. Brightside, Jason X is next.
Chronologically speaking shouldn't that watch Freddy vs Jason Next, then Jason X. That's what I usually do when ever I beinge watch The Friday The 13th Series
Kane Hodder "Jason" played double duty in this movie. Hes one of the Security agents at the morgue.
You need to treat Jason X like “Logan”. It’s a one-off set in the future but isn’t in the same “timeline” as Freddy vs. Jason.
I would totally pay to watch two rival gangs (Crips & Bloods) facing off against Jason.
We can call in Jason in the Hood.
The correct titles for Parts 8&9:
Jaste Takes The Boat
Jason Is A Slug
The title of the movie is Jason goes to Hell, not Jason in hell which means he goes to hell at the end of the movie not for the duration of the film.
Roxy is extra in this one. Let Tara do the intros. She is the real Scream Queen.
Tara is amazing!!! But you don’t have to life someone up by putting someone else down :)
Jason X is by far my favourite of the series. Glad you're nearly there.
It's like Roxy watches a different movie from anyone else. But to be fair Adam Marcus (Director) made this train wreck of a script and movie
We love our Literal Title Scream Queens, lol 😂😂😂
😅😅
NO! Freddy Vs. Jason doesn’t have to be next, because Jason X is actually next.
“Is this one of the good ones? I can’t remember”
Oh how I laughed maniacally at that. 😂
5:38 “she’s kinda like a body builder, special agent is close enough
It's called Jason Goes to Hell because Jason ends up going to hell, why would he go to hell in the middle of the movie?
This movie is unhinged
Fun Fact: Kane Hodder also played Freddy’s arm in the final scene, so he’s played Jason, Freddy, and Leatherface (in a video game)

Love you girls! I will never get tired of saying that. Ordered my crop shirt and I can’t wait for it to come in. Just 3 more films of this movie left. What will be our next journey who knows 😂.
Send pics!!! Woohoo
