- Here is a very nice looking clip of George talking about the decision the end Wham on Aspel & CO in 1986. The news was very new at the time. "Where Did Your Heart Go?" hadn't even been recorded when this interview was conducted.

They left while they were on top. I think they still had a good 3 years on them and could have gone strong until 1989....possibly as late as 1990. Though their target demographic would have likely aged out of them and moved onto something else. So looking back, perhaps it was the right call to go out on top.

George gave Andrew writing credits on Wham, so Andrew is set for life
Andrew did a lot of the writing with George. It’s a common misconception that George did everything and Andrew was along for the ride… That’s not how it was.
Both George and Andy have confirmed this for years prior to George’s death.
I’m not gonna argue with you, so don’t bother replying telling me I’m wrong.

@@jaygee1616 My apologies. A lot of people take stuff away from Andy saying he was just along for the ride. Which bothers me as I do love George, but George himself even said he couldn’t of done it without Andy.
Fun fact, Andrew wrote the music for careless whisper. George came up with of the words later 😃
If you haven’t read Andrew’s book, I strongly recommend it. It’s a good read.

The Netflix documentary was great. Andrew helped create George and then George was like thanks but I don't need you anymore. Crazy but before he passed he went back to being the shy awkward kid he was when he met Andrew.
