- Here is a clip of George's thoughts on other artists lip syncing. I always find it interesting to hear what he had to think about various things so this is a nice clip to watch!
Transferred from my own VHS tape
What a loss to the music industry and to humanity.... The world lost a lot when George's light was extinguished. He was truly a brilliant artist in every way and he was so intelligent and humble when he spoke. He had class and grace and was always honest. I really miss him on so many levels....
So very true. I do believe George was one of the most intelligent stars out there.
I notice every time he answers a question his honesty is so apparent. No self-ego mania and no interference with his answers. George not only was so sincere in his music but the man behind the music Well do I really have to say more? George only had the respect of other artists, and never spoke unkind things about anyone. there were a few people he didn't care for for personal reasons & felt the real need to reach out to & use his platform, yet he still didn't lower himself for anyone. George spoke the truth & never afraid to show It. I myself wish I could be so gracious. We as other human beings could learn a lot from George, I know I have! 💓
This is so well said . I wholeheartedly agree with everything you wrote.. we will never see another singer and human like him.. I think part of his appeal is not just music . If you follow his career you realize he was as insecure as anyone but still a great human being
He was just interested in writing songs and singing, not the whole star system
except he was fibbing here. they did a number of TV appearances that were mimed
The question was about miming in live concerts.
George was as honest as the day is long love and miss him always ❤️ xxxx
"If I was a fantastic dancer", does he knows that he was a damn perfect dancer ? Ain't he saw his beautiful dance moves that he made ? I'm shocked, he was so humble about his success !
I know right? If you look at everything she wants on the faith tour he certainly could dance!
Of course, he wasn't, and every non-fan or a neutral person could see that. And now you want to convince yourself like a fanatic that he was, when he himself knew it that he was almost a bad dancer.
@@jamezmonroe Sure he wasn't on the level Michael Jackson or someone like that, but he most certainly wasn't a bad dancer in his earlier years.
@@jamezmonroe I 100% agree. I also appreciate that he continued to dance even into 25Live, even though the dances were slower.
"Ain't he saw"
Whoa.
He is so beautiful. I miss and love him so much.
Hey beautiful lady, what's your favourite George Michael song?
It is always very nice to hear his point of view about various things. Thanks Albert.
I saw him live and he did NOT lip synch any of the concert! He was phenomenal!❤❤
He’s true to himself always has his talk which is the truth beautiful said miss that man 👍❤️❤️🥰
I completely agree with him when it comes to performers who put their entire soul to have a complex choreography in their concert and they might need some help with the music, an example could be Michael Jackson during Bad Tour
He's talking about MJ regarding lip syncing.
I think he's right. Milli Vanilli is a good example. It wasn't just the two guys who made millions, it was the record company and the people behind the scenes, but ironically no one blamed them when the truth came out.
Beautiful man and he could dance.x
Absolutely well said
And respectful. We all share the blame. Producers, managers, corp who want the $$, the person willing to cheat to make their dream come true and the consumers who want the “beautiful look “to match the beautiful voices.
He was a great dancer. I loved his body moving in rhythm to the music. He performed at an Aids benefit concert sponsored by Princess Diana. He truly showed his dancing talent. ❤❤❤forever ♥️.
ENTERTAINERS like MJ have to LIP SYNC because dancing and singing simultaneously for an hour or two is almost like jogging/running and singing for two hours. Its a lot on the lungs and the performer.
MJ had to lip sync because his live vocals were flat.
@@Steve_the_Lionbecause of dancing?
Ach george...💋💘💖🔥🌹
Какой же он неповторимый❤❤❤
I loved Milli Vanilli and George is spot in that many people made millions off Rob and Fab and then hypocritically dissed them ..
Class act.
MV in no way 'started' lip syncing on stage.
Hee Haw was famous for it as was Soul Train.
kids...
That's a perspective I had never thought of. The "industry" built you up a certain way, so you're just doing what made you famous. Being a puppet.
Except he did. At HIS concerts he sang, but not pa's x
Genius
Hello Albert, once again I have recently been recommended a French interview from the Faith era circa 1988. I think it is part of a larger programme focusing on George during the Faith era which was released back in the day. I have not seen in until recently myself so maybe you have not seen it either! If you’ve already seen it, maybe you have a version of the full programme in your archive..? 👀
Here is said link and hope you have been well:

Thank you very much! While I do not have the whole thing I have a portion (shorter than this video of it) from a french archive.
@@wham You are very welcome! I am honoured to be showing you clips that you have not seen. I will assume that you have probably viewed the majority of clips from other GM tribute/archive channels so I will try and comment on further videos released on your channel with links to videos you may not have seen (in their entirety) that I may find from less popular and more obscure channels. 👍
@@cm-ih1jb I hope you can find some more! I'm sure there are plenty uncommon things on youtube that just don't show up in normal searches. I like to think that I know of most interviews done but I love whenever I can see a new one, even if it's just a small clip of it.
He did lip sync on various tv appearances. Especially early in his career. I doubt that he did in concert though.
Cors he lips synch, Top of the Pops appearances are ON OBLIGATION of lip synch for the entertainer (s) and WHAM! appeared like a lot on TOTP in the 80’.
Even Freddie Mercury complained about that TOTP policy..! It was not George’s will..!!
It’s an important point to know..!! 👋🏻👋🏻
Thank u..! 🙁
But George did mime on top of the pops.
Most everyone had to mime on Top of the Pops, it was a rule, not a choice by the artists. Every artist in the 80s mimed on TV. In this clip, he is talking about never miming on tour.
With TOTP yes they did make groups mime but they had to rerecord the track at the BBC & that was the tracks groups mimed to.
Don’t believe that’s really true, every time Wham! was on TOTP they performed to the album version of the song. They didn’t re-record anything.
😂
0:05 Is this host a tool or does he really not know acts that perform on stage lip sync all the time or have it running in the background while they sing. And for programs like the mtv awards or something, they are slotted in for a specific amount of time, and everything has to go as schedule. Again, most , if not all, acts lip sync during those. Only some don't. Milli vanilli didn't start it.
