How do you save your vegetables from been eaten by squirrels? We try to maintain a small vegetable garden and we have a great problem dealing with squirrels. They eat up all our vegetables even before the vegetable matures. We have had success in growing only leafy vegetables which the squirrels do not finding interesting to eat.
Keep some dogs!
Your mother in law must have definitely been very excited to get a home grown vegetable and that too planted by you.
you are right! :D
Male pumpkin flowers are edible. Don't throw them. Shallow fry with besan.
@10.54 manisha jee asks for rain and after 2 hours....its raining.....even nature knows that manisha jee is working for it....this is called mutual agreement between human and nature....both taking care of each other......:)

Hello, thank you for such informative content.had 2 queries
1. After you worked on the farm and have displayed multiple benefits like water retention,no pesticides, self sustained, do you see this trend spreading to the nearby farms
Also, if possible can you please give a rough idea of commercials, how much corpus should one look at before venturing into this..
If you could help pls.
Thanks
Rahim

बहुत ही सुन्दर, प्राकृतिक
Your mother-in-law is going to love a beautiful and nutritious gift from her bahu..have a great day Manisha and thank you for sharing your lovely garden with us.
Thank you for following our journey :)
Hello! How do you process your produce? Like Jaggery from Sugarcanes or oil from Sunflowers, do you outsource or do it in house?
outsource to local specialists
If your mother in law has spent some time in a village, she'd know that the pumpkin you plucked was pretty raw. I would have let it ripen a little more if I intended to give it away as a gift.
But you know what. The intention behind gifting is more important than the gift.
Love all of Aananda's videos.
Inspirational.
Ah thanks for your input, the pumpkin was actually perfect we ate it also!
Your videos and story telling are really nice, I am in UK and going back to motherland soon and plan do a similar thing on my Piece of heaven. Your videos are inspiring and great thing is you are doing it along with the regular jobs. Encouraging for people like me who live a stressful life with IT jobs.
Best of luck!
Enjooyed every bit. I love your bell garden!!! I like how you planned out the beds and strategically let out the pumpkins. Sorry about the grapes and the broken fence. However i really really liked the red flowering creeper which you say is invasive. Actually its leaves are covering the open gaps in the fence. I hope you keep them. If you can get them to twine around the bells it would give a fancy look to the bells. The pillows for the baby pumpkins are so cute. The cherry on the top was the rain in answer to your wish. Its like Mother Earth is ready to grant you whatever boon you want! Especially after all your hard work. Just a pumpkin for your mil? You should take some more harvest of mangoes tomatoes green chillies coriander leaves papaya. You should go with more. Make her happy! You should tell her that she is lucky to get a daughter in law like you! Enjoy your dinner! 😊😊😊
Madam Namaskar! Please could you suggest supporting plant guild for Papaya and Mango? Thanks and love watching your videos.
You can plant chilli and marigold with papaya. With mango you can plant moringa and custard apple/sitaphal. Thanks for watching our videos, do share them :)
@@farmaanandaa Thank you Madam for super reply. I have completed PDC course but I am not sure in which direction to go ahead as I don't have land of my own but I would like to learn more , visit a few working farms, take some more courses and watch more of your videos. I will definitely share your videos. Thank you so much. All the Best. Pranam

Yes we have bees
@@farmaanandaa that's great.. would love to see a video on the same.. do try!
Lovely! Why have you repeated the planting pattern in all beds? Any specific reason?
Same question.
No specific reason. We liked the combination of flowers and veggies, and thought some symmetry would be nice!
Aanandaa Permaculture Farm ok .thanks !

You are lucky to get such a healthy pumpkin. We had good vines. But later on seemed to have been attacked by some pests.
oh no, sorry to hear that. The advantage of making a food forest is that we form an ecosystem which reduces pest attack drastically

What will you suggest before actually starting permaculture on ground? Also what we can experiment and learn at home garden?
Hello ma'am
अगर 50 families को सालभर सीजनल नेचुरल सब्जियां उगाकर देनी हो तो उसके लिए कितने एकड़ जमीन की जरूरत होगी।
I see a proudness nd happiness in ur face that in no women in my surroundings nd family didnt see because they are all software coolies😂😂😂. I am proud of u mam👏👏🙏🙏🙏
A dream life to live.
:D
I love your videos.
I had a question.
What can we use as organic insecticide for out vegetable plants?
It makes me so happy to see your videos
It makes us happy that you are happy seeing our videos :)
Please tell us how you identify the make and female flowers of the pumpkin...the pumpkin pillows were SO cute!
We are actually planning to make a video on this soon!! Thanks for commenting and stay tuned for that video in the near future :)
Female flower have swollen lyk structure on its back....
Can you suggest me few inline doc or cources to start with. I also have 6 acer land like you whn u started. I need some concrete course to start with.
Fresh and organic pumpkin definitely she going to like it
We think so too!
Where did you source the wood chips from
we got our own tree prunings cut by a chipper
What is the rule of thumb you follow, when you are deciding on combination on plants to plant together? Is it always nitrogen fixing plant with something that thrives on nitrogen?
Happy to see 🤩
Glad to hear that
Rain was your real wish which god hear and showered. Great to see.
she will love it
fingers crossed!!
Nice garden
So nice of you
I could sense the problem with weeds;how do you manage weeds?
👌👍
:)
Very inspirational. I’ve built four raised beds in my backyard (in Panchkula) over the last three weeks that I’ve been following your channel. I have two questions:
Where do I get the soil to fill the raised beds? Do I fill them in a ratio of topsoil, sand and compost (till I can get my own compost pit going) The beds are 8 by 4. The depth varies between 20-26 inches.
Do you sell that wonderful wood chip mulch which lines your beds?
Many thanks!
hey! If you are from Panchkula you should attend our Intro to Permaculture Session that we conduct every Saturday. All your questions will be answered and you will learn much more! Please email us at hello@aanandaa.com if you are interested, a few slots are still available for the coming Saturdays.
Aanandaa Permaculture Farm Sure, thanks. Sounds like a good idea. I’ll email you directly to book a spot for tomorrow, if available.

Lovely....really.....
Thanks a lot 😊
Your mother in law would have definitely loved the gift of pumpkin.
I have watched almost all the videos of your channel. Loved watching all of them specially this one "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙪𝙥 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣". Waited for this video actually after seeing the previous video of The Bell Garden. It's beautiful to see everything that is growing around as you have planned. .
Planning to start off farming myself on the ancestral land which is by far conventional agricultural land but am not sure where to start with.. Which is why I am doing some research over google n youTube.
Loved the content of your videos. N hope to see a lot more of them near future n learn a lot from them. Hopefully will get in touch with you soon once I start.
I have Just a few questions in mind.
So far my share of land is used for growing paddy (rice) and wheat seasonally using fertilizers (Urea n DAP) and other chemicals that i dont even know.
That too farming is done there by the local farmers for their share of livelihood.
So if I wanna start this Permaculture there how do I start without actually hampering their livelihood.? What's the first thing that i should do.??
