The version of Tornado of Souls you listened to was a remastered version from the 2000s that generally makes Dave's vocals sound really bad. Also the instruments sound even better on the original. Most of the time I don't say remasters matter all that much (as far as if your first listening is remastered or original) but in the case of Megadeth these are really bad. Devil's Island is probably my favorite off of _Peace Sells._ It's a banger. Also the first two songs off of _So Far, So Good, So What_ are a masterpiece. One song leads into the other, so it's basically one song in my mind. It's like Megadeth's version of Foreplay/Long Time by Boston.

The "Rust in Peace" era lineup of Megadeth is the best one IMO! I love the way that Dave and Marty would trade back and forth doing solos. she's generally not ready yet for death metal we need to ease her progressively into more aggressive vocals. Right now, she's into thrash, so soon she will listen to some slayer, and we will see what that gives as a result.
@@chimpinaneckbrace I'm not saying that at random. It's based on how she reacted to the various bands, including even SOAD. Screamed lyrics don't look to be too much of her thing. They can be an acquired taste. or just be off-putting to some people. She said, in her first reaction video that she had an image of metal based on some death she had heard long ago, and that it wasn't really her thing. It might have changed, but it's better to go progressively. It would be too bad if she were to miss out on the whole genre just because she wasn't yet at the point of appreciating that. Wow!! Thoroughly enjoyable reaction!! Love your energy! Megadeth is an amazing band. Rust in Peace is considered a Thrash Masterpiece. I really like how much your dug Gar, he was a one of a kind drummer, his Jazz meets Metal style was incredible and perfect for the band.
Great review! I would strongly recommend 'Symphony of Destruction', 'Sweating Bullets', 'Hangar 18', and *'Holy Wars'* if you want to appreciate them fully.
Me: "I don't think I've heard any Megadeth songs", the bass riff at the start of Peace Sells kicks in "oh, yes, I've heard that before". I love a good bass line :)
Rust In Peace is a G.O.A.T. album. Virtually every track on it is worth a reaction video, especially Holy Wars (watch the music video!), Five Magics, and the title track. Nick Menza is the drummer who took over after Garr, and I promise you will love him, the dude is an absolutely freakshow on the kit.
Gar died a long time ago (1999) from liver failure, he couldn't kick his heroin and alcohol addictions. He and Chris Poland were both fired for selling the bands equipment to buy heroin
these videos are actually introducing me to some new music as well. Never gotten around to Megadeth. I only know one of their songs, Public Enemy No. 1, which I really like and only found because it was in an AMV for this anime I was obsessed with (Black Lagoon) :D

Yesterday I discovered your channel and here I am today, watching a brand new video, I recommend you to hear wake up dead, set the world afire and the conjuring, pretty underrated songs
Check out 'In My Darkest Hour' from the "So Far, So Good...So What!" album. Dave wrote it just after Cliff Burton (Metallica's first bassist who was revered by just about everyone in the 80's punk & metal scene) passed away. RIP Cliff
Hi Kira - 4:08 - So much intensity that your ❤ is racing ! Now that's pulsating 🎶 & I love it. You should check out the more restrained but entertaining Ratt for a future episode. 🐀🐁 - Awesome 👌as always Kira 🎸
You should listen to more tracks from the Peace Sells album, the whole thing is flawless and Dave's vocals are killer on that album. Wake Up Dead, The Conjuring, Black Friday, and My Last Words are all must listens. Rust In Peace is perfect too, Holy Wars and Hangar 18 are absolutely mandatory tracks.
Gar Samuelson, the drummer on the first and second Megadeth albums, RIP 🕯 Kira, I wish you could have been one of my classmates in high school. We'd have been fast friends!
They're one of my favorite bands. I really liked the way you reacted to them, I've never seen that much energy in a reaction. If you return, I'd recommend "Looking Down the Cross," "My Last Words" and "Victory." It was sad that Gar was kicked, but he was selling the band's gear for drug money. And I'll agree that Dave isn't a great singer, I can't think of anyone else who replace him for vocalist.
How can someone play drums that fast? “Hold my beer”- Dave Lombardo I love your reactions! They’re so full of the joy of discovery! You need to graduate to Slayer. I’d suggest all three from Reign in Blood. Criminally Insane Necrophobic Hell Awaits
Also check out "Countdown To Extinction". It not only brought MEGADETH into the mainstream but has some amazing trax! I probably like the title track the most but 'Forclosure Of A Dream' is a def a decent track. Most peeps probably like 'Symphony Of Destruction', and while it's a great track, I prefer other trax to it...but it's def still good! 'Skin O' My Teeth' and 'Sweating Bullets' are fun too!
Rust in peace, as a whole album, is fantastic. Marty Friedman is a spectacular guitarist. The older albums are fun as well, I particularly like Peace Sells. Countdown to Extinction is another solid choice, but that is more 90s...then again, though, the 90s was where Megadeth really shined.
Love the reaction. For your next Megadeth reaction "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" and "In My Darkest Hour" are absolute musts. After that a few songs I would recommend are "The Conjuring", "Symphony of Destruction", "Hook in Mouth", "Wake Up Dead", "Washington is Next!", and there's a ton more but these are all a great start.
You should react to some Dream Theater, my recommendations are Pull Me Under, Dance Of Eternity, and Metropolis Part 1. They are a progressive metal group btw lol
Based on your reaction(s) (also just seen the newer Holy Wars) I think you'll dig: Set the World Afire (riffs!) Rust In Peace...Polaris (play it loud!) The Conjuring (great track) Good Morning/Black Friday (mellow>hard) Five Magics (also mellow>hard) Last Rites/Loved to Death (1985)
Killing is my business, that will always remain my favorite album. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to the music that shaped my childhood. You rock girl, love your reactions to my favorite music. Next songs should be Hanger 18, Wake up dead, and devils island. Those are my recommendations.
Here’s the issue with the vocals on _Tornado of Souls:_ they were re-recorded in 2004, and you listened to the re-recorded version. The original 1990 recording sounds very different, and in my opinion, the vocals sound much better.
My understanding was that the only rerecorded vocals on the RIP remaster from 2004 were on Take No Prisoners. Five Magics uses an alternate take from 1990, but Tornado of Souls is the original vocal afaik.
@@Charlie.Cisneros you can tell mostly in the backing vocals that there are subtle differences rather than just in how they're mixed. It's staggering. Less obvious with this song than others.

On your question about how fast the drummer is, that is because they use double strokes. Basically each time he swings a stick or kicks the pedal he lets it rebound a second time basically doubling the speed that he can accomplish with one motion.

Hasn't heard Hangar 18 yet
Great review!
I would strongly recommend 'Symphony of Destruction', 'Sweating Bullets', 'Hangar 18', and *'Holy Wars'* if you want to appreciate them fully.
Me: "I don't think I've heard any Megadeth songs", the bass riff at the start of Peace Sells kicks in "oh, yes, I've heard that before". I love a good bass line :)
hahah you can never forget a good bass line
MTV News. You hear it (bass line)….first.
Megadeth - as well as most thrash bands - are really all about the instruments. The vocals are mostly an afterthought, to give a meaning to the song.
Gar died a long time ago (1999) from liver failure, he couldn't kick his heroin and alcohol addictions. He and Chris Poland were both fired for selling the bands equipment to buy heroin
And Nick died playing with Chris Poland. Sad.
Nick Menza was a great successor for Gar!
Dirk who is currently in the band is a great successor to both of them :)
these videos are actually introducing me to some new music as well. Never gotten around to Megadeth. I only know one of their songs, Public Enemy No. 1, which I really like and only found because it was in an AMV for this anime I was obsessed with (Black Lagoon) :D
dude my favourite thing - which i never expected going into this - is being able to show people new music. lots of people i know in real life have found metal music through my videos :) omg lol anime that's awesome
Black Lagoon was so good I really enjoyed it, and Megadeth is great too.
Yesterday I discovered your channel and here I am today, watching a brand new video, I recommend you to hear wake up dead, set the world afire and the conjuring, pretty underrated songs
i'm excited to get around to it thanks :)
Check out 'In My Darkest Hour' from the "So Far, So Good...So What!" album. Dave wrote it just after Cliff Burton (Metallica's first bassist who was revered by just about everyone in the 80's punk & metal scene) passed away. RIP Cliff
Great reaction Kira like always. I think you are realy lucky to be able to hear all these songs for the first time.
Hi Kira - 4:08 - So much intensity that your ❤ is racing ! Now that's pulsating 🎶 & I love it. You should check out the more restrained but entertaining Ratt for a future episode. 🐀🐁 - Awesome 👌as always Kira 🎸
some of these songs just bring it out in me and I love it!! oh ok I'll look into Ratt thank you David!! hope you have a nice day :)
The drummer for first 2 songs was Gar Samuelson, who was a jazz fusion drummer before joining Megadeth
RIP Nick Mensa one of the greats. He was the drummer on this album
Gar Samuelson, the drummer on the first and second Megadeth albums, RIP 🕯
Kira, I wish you could have been one of my classmates in high school. We'd have been fast friends!
I love how she reacts to all this songs, she's great! :D
“Hold my beer”- Dave Lombardo
I love your reactions! They’re so full of the joy of discovery! You need to graduate to Slayer. I’d suggest all three from Reign in Blood.
Criminally Insane
Necrophobic
Hell Awaits
Also check out "Countdown To Extinction". It not only brought MEGADETH into the mainstream but has some amazing trax! I probably like the title track the most but 'Forclosure Of A Dream' is a def a decent track. Most peeps probably like 'Symphony Of Destruction', and while it's a great track, I prefer other trax to it...but it's def still good! 'Skin O' My Teeth' and 'Sweating Bullets' are fun too!
Holy wars and Hangar 18 gotta be next!
Btw you should definitely try Dream Theater.
you should listen to in my darkest hour, its an amazing megadeth ballad
A band i never see reacted to is Angel. 'The Fortune' would be a good introduction. The full 8min 41sec album version from 1976 😊
Btw Dave Mustaine is a big fan of theirs
Groovy. Yesss Megadeath can be so dancable and just a sick groove
I love your facial expression and dance moves to songs ! U r awesome and I just subscribed ❤
Wake up Dead, The Conjuring, Holy wars, Hangar 18, Hook in Mouth ... and more .. thrash classics
Fun fact. The guitarist Chris Poland and the drummer Gar Samuelson were both born in my hometown.
Can't wait for her to listen to dave Lombardo's drumming :)
You should react to some Dream Theater, my recommendations are Pull Me Under, Dance Of Eternity, and Metropolis Part 1. They are a progressive metal group btw lol
awesome thank you i've noted them down!
@@kirawasareactor Yes - Dream Theater is a MUST! Maybe a complete Album? For me "Images And Words" is one of the best Albums of all time...
Based on your reaction(s) (also just seen the newer Holy Wars) I think you'll dig:
Set the World Afire (riffs!)
Rust In Peace...Polaris (play it loud!)
The Conjuring (great track)
Good Morning/Black Friday (mellow>hard)
Five Magics (also mellow>hard)
Last Rites/Loved to Death (1985)
You are fun to watch and listen to! I was about 15 when this came out! So much energy in this!
Awesome vid. King diamonds gotta be next man!
Killing is my business, that will always remain my favorite album. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to the music that shaped my childhood. You rock girl, love your reactions to my favorite music. Next songs should be Hanger 18, Wake up dead, and devils island. Those are my recommendations.
MTv used to use the Peace Sells opening bassline for their news intro.
Here’s the issue with the vocals on _Tornado of Souls:_ they were re-recorded in 2004, and you listened to the re-recorded version. The original 1990 recording sounds very different, and in my opinion, the vocals sound much better.
Yeah, she heard Mustaine a whole 14 years older with more range issues. He hit those notes like a madman in 1990.
For the next Megadeth reaction: In My Darkest Hour, Wake Up Dead, Hangar 18, Holy Wars, Sweating Bullets
Peace Sells and RIP full albums reaction! Do it! 🤘🏻
I would also recommend these song reactions from Megadeth
1. Ashes in your mouth
2. Five magics
3. Hangar 18
4. Wake up dead
This is such an energetic reaction 10/10
hahah...love your reactions, try the scorpion, countdown to extinction and rust in peace next... ;)
thank you Felipe!!!
Rust in Peace is the album to react to, you’ll be amazed at all it’s sounds.
Just discovered your channel, and so I glad I did!
To be honest, finally someone reacting with vital energy to something, I'm sick of these boring youtubers just reacting with no vitality.
Don't change please, your content is great, keep it up!
Cheers from Spain
Holy Wars/Punishment Due, Sweating Bullets, and Symphony of Destruction are Megadeth songs you would probably enjoy
Bonus points for featuring the original cover of Killing is my business!
Love your Tornado of Souls reaction :D
5 magics, set the world Afire, wake up dead, Dystopia, holy wars, Lucretia, ashes in your mouth, Train of Consequences. Is a must ... original versions only. This will give you a sense of how versatile, talented and influential Dave has been to Metal.
listen to holy wars , trust and countdown to extinction . love your channel
thank you!
Mechanix is just BRUTAL
On your question about how fast the drummer is, that is because they use double strokes. Basically each time he swings a stick or kicks the pedal he lets it rebound a second time basically doubling the speed that he can accomplish with one motion.
Peace Sells is the “slow jam” of Megadeth
Rust in Peace (album) is their magnum opus.
Pantera- Art of Shredding, By Demons be Driven, War Nerve. All Different albums! Can't wait! Cheers!!!
first 4 megadeth albums are flawless. choose any song from any of the first 4
Wow...love your reactions. Do Rattlehead , Conjuring, & 502 next.
RIP Gar
RIP Nick
holy wars, symphony of destruction & she-wolf for the next megadeth video!!!
I really loved your reaction u gained a fan now and im really looking forward to seeing you reacting to Holy wars
You should react to blue oyster cult veteran of the pyschic wars (fire of unknown origin album), flaming telepaths & astronomy ( secret treaties album), and don't fear the reaper & E.T.I ( agents of fortune album)
So illuminating as always. Fuck with you always my girl
10:12 Did you also notice that he passed in 1999, Rip Gar Samuelson.
