    *_This_* is the kind of subject matter that TED should be focused on. Vitally important, with immediate real-world application. Thank you for making it accessible here. Combatting propaganda is arguably the most pressing crisis in existence, globally. We *_must_* live in a world with only one objective reality

    I am German and I learnt my history in school saw exhibitions and saw a concentration camp, talked to people who still had tattoos on their arms. And I always wondered HOW we ever got to that. Now I look at Russia, at new classes children have to attend in school, people denouncing their neighbours, people being paid money that was stolen from them to now go and due in a very silly war, and I watch some Russian to. I look at a small old man sensing his age and wanting greatness. Abdomen he wants it before he’s dead. And I think I get it now.

      You only have to look inside your own country and the propaganda being programmed into German children about the violence created by mass migration and anti-assimilation.

    That was VERY VERY good. Essentially; everyone is being manipulated to have a safety net and feel in control (self assured and powerful) But we need to use the resources we have to oxymoronically manipulate out of that control, see the facts and find our power and comminity in the good ways

    Thanks for sharing this, Peter. This is about human incongruities that manifest themselves in difficult socioeconomic situations, where leaders fail to take a firm stand behind a decision they made. It is about circumventing responsibilities by pointing the preverbal finger at “the others”. How does it feel to have been told fabricated stories to get your support, only to find out that it was all a scheme? It is about denying accountability for mishandling situations and being swept under the carpet of ego-centricity and stepped upon. Subconsciousness is the silent voice that instigates everything. It tells you what to feel, think, and do. It subverts the real intentions, by igniting perversive feelings, and ignites atrocities, which were unthinkable until after the fact. Was I there? Did I participate in this? It couldn’t have been me.

      The world is quick to condemn and dismantle others for their mistakes but not so quick to learn and grow from their own and that kind of behavior that will be our downfall not any war.

      @lagunamanganobut how? I've been struggling with this for so long now. How? I can see so many ways to fix a lot of problems in at least my society but either no one cares or they only care of they can profit or benefit from it and that kind of behavior doesn't to anything to actually fix the core problems at all. When evidence alone isn't enough to make people open their eyes what do you do? How do you get them to see the truth, not just your own truth but pure unfiltered reality without any bias without going full tyrant or dictator?

    • @tabularasa

      @@kapnkarhoonch5497 At least from the perspective of this talk, I think he's trying to say that the communication has to be *_personal,_* to make a real concerted effort to show people how the charismatic leader's policies actually wreck their personal and professional lives, and ruin their health and their wealth. It's not difficult to show people these things, but there has to be persistence in it. I suppose that, ultimately, it's up to the receiver of the information, if they are going to believe their eyes, or still blindly put faith in dear leader. But it seems a worthwhile effort to try. Some will get it. Some will start to see reality.

    • @kapnkarhoonch5497
      @kapnkarhoonch5497 2 місяці тому +1

      @@tabularasa it does absolutely seem a worthwhile effort it's just history has shown when people do try to lift the veil so to speak they end up with a mysterious case of dead, it's my belief only when a group to large to have disappear under mysterious circumstances can it really be heard in way that's too hard to ignore but at that level whats to stop dear leader from declaring said group as radicals at best and terrorist at worst and using their control of information and the media to shut down and kind of progress under the guise of stopping a possible act of terror.

    • @tabularasa
      @tabularasa 2 місяці тому +1

      @@kapnkarhoonch5497 Well, yes, if dear leader is already head of state and already has control over all those things as you mentioned, that does indeed make it more challenging. Your point is taken. But at some point the receivers of the information must come to terms with reality. They can't possibly keep burying their head forever, when dear leader's policies mean they go cold in winter, and lose all their sons. They have to start to associate one with the other. At some point, surely, they must get there

    What can we do?... Possibly what we have never done before and acknowledge years of psychological knowledge about the human being... The same applies to political science... This system we have always existed and has never worked or has it always led to the same, and surprise you can explain it all very well... - the solution? Well, we take the solution of the ancient Greeks, only this time we don't take a wrong turn, but take democracy seriously. Demachia

      ukraine doesnt WANT to be russia and has NEVER been part of russia. It was an enslaved state.
      It was part of the soviet USSR
      It was colonised during the empire and regularly faught against russian empire^ At least once it won independence during the empiric years.
      Both russian empire and ussr fell internally and belong to the history books. There is no time machine^
      Ukrainians remember the holodomor -i prob spelt it wrong XD it was a time when ruling class slavic moscovites starved MILLIONS of ukrainians, aka a genocidal policy. theyve seen and/or learnt what russians are doing to their 'ukrainian brothers' which tells them russia wants to enslave them again^
      ukraine has been resisting and fighting AGAINST russia in all its expansionist forms for hundreds if not thousands of years^ at the very least since the mongols
