So a friend of mine asked me about this hack as her bro-in-law does this. She was told that this would only work with a laser mouse that has a red light but the laser mouse she bought on Amazon doesn't have show a red light. I'm guessing what she actually needs an optical/led mouse that shines a beam of light onto the surface, like the mouse shown in the video. I checked the comments where folks said the trick didn't work for them but I didn't see them specify what type of mouse they are using, unlike the OP.

For the ppl ask why can’t you go to setting because some ppl do not have admin rights on the work computer and can’t change settings or don’t have permission to add an app

Finally someone with common sense. I don't understand why people pay for mouse jiggling devices. If you're using an optic mouse just place the sensor on a reflective surface or what I do is move my mouse sensor to the very edge of my mouse mat and the cursor shakes around on screen by itself. Don't waste your money on jigglers.

Another tip would be to leave your Teams on top of all windows when doing this, otherwise it'll change to Away regardless (at least it did in my case)
You don't need a mug. Just put a coin between 2 keys. The coin should be properly inserted on the space so that it auto types. I used to do it until last week. Now my employer has installed some new software and it detects this and still locks my laptop. So I'm here looking for some mouse tricks and keyboard trick isn't helping me anymore. Such terrible employers I have. SMH.
I use a wireless mouse on my desktop, but what I did was 1) plugged an optical wired mouse into a spare USB port 2) took my $5 Walmart analog clock off the wall in my garage 3) put the clock face up on my desk and played with the alignment of the mouse near the center of the clock until I verified that during each 1 minute cycle the mouse lit up from seeing the second hand moving.

@@louis20122yes they do. We're using the app called Hubstaff where it counts your mouse click & keyboard clicks & base your productivity there. It also captures screenshot in between the 10 mins interval so you cannot open any other app just work related app.
It didn't work for me, but I found another way --> you'll need a watch, just put the mosue on top your watch, the clock hand will move and reset the thing !!! Real good to steal company time, but I don't advise you to do it
But that would cause regular interval in the mouse movement, so if you want to use that at work I think there are systems that detect if there is continuous repeated action.

I dont understand why can't you just turn off sleep setting? I use auto refresh on google chrome to watch ebay listings/bids and that has a side effect of keeping computer from going to sleep

I tried inverted glass it is not working then I hv out some water in the glass kept my mouse for a sec it was jiggling but then stopped 😭😭😭😭😭😭someone please help with something

It doesn't work on all mouse's but hopefully yours will, you could always try a glass with facets too or the comments have many settings you could try. You'll know its working when the light stays on and flickers sort of. Hope it works for you =)
Darn sorry it didn't work. The glass has cutouts or well texture sort of. There was an awesome person that commented they added a lil water in the glass and then it worked for them, maybe try that? I packed that mouse up but I think it is a Logitech too not sure what model but it is wireless. There's also a ton of comments with different settings to try as well, I'm not that techy tho but everybody has been so helpful on here, do hope you get it to work =)

my way was literally playing a 1 min youtube video on loop (right click video and click loop) and it does the same thing, just keep the video window in front of everything

@@LuckSpinner There is a setting in 'advanced power settings' that will shutdown your hard disks even though that you have sleep turned off. Maybe you looked there as well, just wanted to throw that out there.
Not Always You’re completely wrong. I work on a work computer that has managed rights. For internal controls if there is no activity the computer locks. My company tracks this information. With this trick it appears I’m always active. Think before you write comments like that.

You can see the red light almost flash/blink to know that it's working. You should be able to see the red light moving right away when it's placed on the glass. Maybe try a glass that isn't flat down the sides, the one I use has bevels. Hope it works for you, many people left comments of different power settings to try as well =)

I lucked out and had a glass with a lot of texture in the glass and that might help but I just flipped the glass upside down and got eye level with it. Then lightly bumped the mouse around until the red light from the underneath of the mouse stayed lit up. It did take some fiddling to get it but once that light was steady on it stayed on for hours without being bumped. Hope it works for you. Cheers! =)

Honestly never tried with a wired mouse, worth a shot though. The comments are filled with cool settings to try as well, people are so clever! I have to lay it on the glass then gently tap it til the red light starts flashing kind of then I know its good to go. =)
hey, heres a fix for you just go to the windows search bar and type "change when pc sleeps" it will bring up a search result, click it. i believe the default is 30 minutes and just change it to whatever you want
That is sleep mode or standby- you can adjust the settings for this to not happen. Control Panel -> Power Options -> Change when Computer goes to sleep -> Set to your preference of time, or Never. Edit- I see in comments you tried that and it didnt work.
Go to setting go to system and go to power and sleep settings and you can change how long you wait before the monitor turns off and how long before the pc turns off

I use a rollerball mouse that has no optical sensor and the mouse stays in place so a $10 jigger was needed.
How about just disabling sleep in Windows 😂

I lucked out and had a glass with a lot of texture in the glass and that might help but I just flipped the glass upside down and got eye level with it. Then lightly bumped the mouse around until the red light from the underneath of the mouse stayed lit up. It did take some fiddling to get it but once that light was steady on it stayed on for hours without being bumped. Hope it works for you. Cheers! =)

My mouse is not cordless, does it still work? Do you have to adjust the mouse or just lay it on top of the glass for it to work? Thanks
Honestly never tried with a wired mouse, worth a shot though. The comments are filled with cool settings to try as well, people are so clever! I have to lay it on the glass then gently tap it til the red light starts flashing kind of then I know its good to go. =)

You can goto setting and set the sleep timer to “never the pc won’t sleep

hey, heres a fix for you
just go to the windows search bar and type "change when pc sleeps" it will bring up a search result, click it. i believe the default is 30 minutes and just change it to whatever you want

Pretty sure any glass will work just keep fidgeting with it until you see the lights moving under on their own and then your good to walk away =)
you could open control panel, then customize the active power plan you’re using, then make it so that it wont go to sleep

No water needed
That is sleep mode or standby- you can adjust the settings for this to not happen.
Control Panel -> Power Options -> Change when Computer goes to sleep -> Set to your preference of time, or Never.
Edit- I see in comments you tried that and it didnt work.

Go to setting go to system and go to power and sleep settings and you can change how long you wait before the monitor turns off and how long before the pc turns off
...come on man, do you think people would be doing this if we can do that. This is for work based PCs/laptops where all those things are locked by network admin settings...
