  • Our third attempt to book this excursion due to politics on the safety that the carriages did not have automatic door locking system installed. However a day to remeber with a warm and occasionally sunny weather. One has tried to capture the interesting parts of the journey out of an almost clean window, a plus here for this company keeping every thing clean, inside and out. Included, is some of the views in Mallaig once a thriving fishing village when the first goods wagons rolled in to pick up the fish catch every day since early 1900. But now a tourist attraction and access to the ferry's. The Jacobite stopped just before the Glenfinnan viaduct for a chance of photo's unfortunately our window had a view of a tree but managed some shots as the train started to move.
