if you know who George Orwell was, then you know that he knew what is going on now was coming back in the 1930s because he knew some of the elite and their plans then, which was how he could write his book 1984. there have been numerous people that warned this would happen--it's the same way the Nazi holocaust began.
Strange Days is the best album of The Doors.. it was their pure moment.. puriest album.. with the puriest voice of Jim.. and puriest music by Rey, Robby and John.. they was on the same page at that album.. and my favourite song of The Doors is Strange Days.. P.S. All of their music will be actual at all time!
"Strange Days" Strange days have found us Strange days have tracked us down They're going to destroy Our casual joys We shall go on playing Or find a new town Yeah! Strange eyes fill strange rooms Voices will signal their tired end The hostess is grinning Her guests sleep from sinning Hear me talk of sin And you know this is it Yeah! Strange days have found us And through their strange hours We linger alone Bodies confused Memories misused As we run from the day To a strange night of stone
Great song. To clarify, this is what you're seeing: a still of the original album cover, followed by various circus performers re-creating the scene found on the original cover some time in the 1980s (I shit you not), spliced in with footage of the original band The Doors performing this song among others in their own time, re-arranged and edited for your enjoyment (albeit in shit quality, in this particular instance).
The first time I saw this video at the beginning, I thought it was just the album cover they were gonna show throughout the video. And then all of a sudden it just jumps out at me. Kind of freaked me out, man. And I wasn't even under the influence of anything.
The Doors had a lot of great psychedelic songs but I think this was their most psychedelic. If The Doors wrote this about a trip it must have been a bummer cause this is chock full of sinister, paranoid vibes. This is the aural equivalent of an H.P. Lovecraft story or a David Lynch movie. The Soft Parade is another great psych song of theirs.
hey, neat! this was the version of this song i was looking for, with the creepy effect used for jim's vocals. i heard it this way on the record i bought last week and thought something was wrong with it lol.

Is this how that exact moment on the cover happened? From a still frame from a film camera? So cool it was part of a longer form film. It helps to contextualize the cover so much.
I think what's strange is that there have been people like George Orwell who warned us this police state would happen, but no one much ever tried to do anything about it--a suicidal race isn't it?
I think it's to do with what can be called metaphysical despair--or it can be a joyous experience. it's the natural circumstances that sometimes occur psychosomatically--perhaps how the planets are lined up sometimes, or maybe the moon's effect is playing a part. then someone put drugs into the scenario sometimes.
Been a Doors fan since 1966 and I thought I've seen every Doors clip ever published. What a great find. Thank you.
Love the extra footage of The Doors.
This should be The Doors official video for Strange Days, so much better than the one posted on their UA-cam channel.
Especially the ending where they return to the cover of the Strange Days LP.
That's the original little person from The Strange Days album too.
Absolutely agree it has more clips of jim. The video is more entertaining and creepy.
Been listening to the Doors since 67 and it's the only band with the great sound they have with a mix of psychedelia, blues and doomsday.
R.I.P. Douglas Lubahn. Really amazing bass player.
Very underrated the fifth Doors member.
even stranger in 2020!
Nothing compares to the 60s. What a great time in history to of been a part of. 65-73
Official anthem of the year
I just LOVE the creepy sound of this song! The Doors were and still are the best of them all!
AGREED!
50 years later, this is still awesome!
Is this the original video ? It’s incredible. So ahead of its time
The is some of the original video but this has more clips of The Doors.
It's now March 20, 2020 and the strangest days I've ever seen. ☺

This band had everything. So timeless good
Most psychedelic song from The Doors.
Agreed
R.I.P Ray Manzarek
Absolute legend
Welcome to one of the most bizarre years of my life 2020! Strange would be an understatement
RIP Ray Manzarek, Jim & Ray playin Strange days in heaven!!!

That's the same little person from 1968 too!
Thank you for explaining that. I was wondering how they put that together.
The first time I saw this video at the beginning, I thought it was just the album cover they were gonna show throughout the video. And then all of a sudden it just jumps out at me. Kind of freaked me out, man. And I wasn't even under the influence of anything.
I just found what I wanted, a STRANGE DAYS face mask, can't wait to wear it!!!!
I've been wearing one I painted myself since the mandatory--it's some way to protest it I guess.
I swear the guy marching with the crowd, wearing glasses and carrying the ghetto blaster on his shoulder looks like an older Ray.
Ray and John are both in the crowd
Michael DeTorrice I'll look harder for John. Thanks. Maybe I'll spot Robby?
Stuart Little He's clean cut right next to Ray.
Ray's is multiple characters in this.
Ray is the priest with the shades on as well
ahahahah loved to see Ray's appearances
2:57...muito legal esse final...
Esta fabulosa cancion me transporta a otro mundo
Me Recuerda mi época de Marihuano de Adolescencia ....
I LOVE THIS SONG AND JIM MORRISON HAD AN AMAZING VOICE THE DOORS SIMPLY AWESOME THE BEST THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC 👍👌✌

If you want this in HD, it's on the Doors' "R:Evolution" Blu-Ray. :-)

Strange days indeed
The doors' album cover art for strange days was kinda Awesome because I know my music pretty good though because I'm huge fan of them for along time!
Perfect song for today Friday the 13th 2020👍🏽

Sniffen Court, NYC!
Definitely a 80s remake as someone pointed, why? At 1:00 you can clearly see a red beret wearing Guardian Angel and the cars algo give clue.
That's not a guardian angel, this was filmed in '67, smh!
Pretty accurate for what things look like while tripping on some good acid.
Yes different year. Strange days continue. The Covid Nightmare
love this
The piano track is played both forward and backward, once, for song's duration. Thank you Johann Sebastian Bach for that idea.
Great song!!!
Strange days are now, they found us ...
Only a 60s poet like Jim Morrison could write the unofficial song of 2020.
was john densmore also in the video?
Do you know the details of the film?
Is this how that exact moment on the cover happened? From a still frame from a film camera? So cool it was part of a longer form film. It helps to contextualize the cover so much.

Now... Ray is gone :'(
Me gusta el minuto 2 cuando ya no se deja la gente

LSD Is a very beautiful substance.
as long as you don't become over dependant on it and do that at too young an age---it messed me up a long time.
