Jan 1st 2021 started my day with London calling in my head.
Starting the year with one of the best songs ever writtern is not a bad way to start. My best wishes too a fellow Clash fan.
San Salvador today reminds me the London from 45 years ago.
RIP Joe Strummer 22 December (1950- 2002) great "the punk sir of the music'
Only ever heard good of him. Mate of mine met him in a café in London & he chatted happily with them for over an hour - Like you say a true gent!
On No!!! Did not know this…I’m officially heartbroken
72 years old and this song never gets old
Rock on brother
Still a baby i see.....👍🏻👈🏼
I agree 🍻🤘😎🇬🇧
#15 on the 500 greatest songs of all time (Rolling Stone magazine).
kt1pl2 the album is #1 on the best albums of the 80’s
One of the greatest songs of all time legends of all time huge Clash fan
Paul Simonon's bassline is the perfect opening for this classic. The man learned the bass guitar in order to join The Clash. Good decision for everyone.
In theory, Sid was supposed to have done the same.
Mick Jones taught him 🙏🏻
I wish we had music like this now. But at least I can remember what good music was. When I'm in the old folks home, Im going to be blasting this shit.
Od kilku dni nie mogę przestać tego słuchać. Zajebisty utwór, który polecam absolutnie każdemu.
I saw them play when I was 12. There were about 40 people in the audience. One of my best memories.Love the Clash!!
Beautiful.
They were ahead of thier time.
Ahh, honey me too!
Wow. Just wow.
Definitely putting it in my 'end of the world and dystopian' playlist
I love seeing the diffrent generations of people say where they know this from. I'm 23 and knew it from billy elliot before the boys but the boys sticks in my head more
The only band that mattered! The Clash. RIP Joe Strummer.
BIRISHPM why is someone Always dead? !?!?!
because thats what people do
I wouldn´t say that they are the only band that mattered. The Specials, Madness, The Clash, Bad Manners etc they were all great
During the height of their popularity, many called The Clash "The Only Band That Mattered"
I know that but still not the only good band... Late 70s early 80s was a period with great bands. The Clash, The Specials, Madness, Bad Manners, The Jam
Joe Strummer has some of the best screams, they fit their songs perfectly.
I hope you’re well my dude!If you ever need a friend, don’t be afraid to reach out! 🍻

RIP Joe Strummer (August 21, 1952 - December 22, 2002), aged 50
You will be remembered as a legend.
When I listen to that music I remember when I was young.
And the entire energy that it gave to us.
Now I'm 51 and still have the heart beating faster when I listen to it.
It's timeless and brilliant.
Absolutely.
I'm 59 and this song still gives me chills like back in the day when it first came out. A timeless masterpiece
@@rocker76m88 the music between yesterday and today there is absolutely no comparison
