I'd never pay someone to detail the exterior of my excavators, but that cab interior, that I would pay for. That's going to make the operators day much better.
Exactly what I was thinking...
I would if I were going to sell it, because then I'd want it clean enough to do some rattle-can touchup, and doing it myself is a poor use of time. But other than that, I agree with the sentiment.
The ❤😮
deff not detail but for sure power washing
Maintained equipment is a silent brand ambassador. Imagine the impact when your excavators consistently arrive on-site looking sharp and in top condition. It speaks volumes about your professionalism and commitment to quality. Take it from a successful contractor I know: his company prioritizes a fresh coat of paint on all equipment, new or old. They also incentivize their workers to maintain top condition, and guess what? They consistently land the biggest jobs in the area. It's a win-win - a strong brand image attracts clients, and a happy, well-paid crew keeps the equipment running smoothly.
Again and again I’ve been proven that ryobi makes incredible equipment for the price. It’s never contractor grade but again for the price.. amazing.
You are 100% correct! Though, to be fair, we should note that the majority of the work that professionals do is done by using the proper chemicals and agitation. The pressure washer just makes it that much easier! And it sure doesn't hurt to have an expensive tool like this. Ryobi that does a great job, as your sidekick!
If only all the consumer grade tools would stop lying about their numbers. 1400 psi instead of 1800.
Incredible is not quite the right word. Acceptable would be a better one IMO. For a hundred bucks you can also get a name brand, like Kaercher. I've used a few of their tools, and they're powerful and work like all other brands, but they just lack the real quality of proper tools. For the price, for a home owner that doesn't use them much, they're fantastic. For somebody who takes tools even just a little bit seriously, it's not gonna work.
@@timderks5960 Well, I think the first thing to say here is technically Ryobi is a name brand! It's a division of tectronics industries or TTI who also makes Milwaukee and Rigid which just so happens to be licensed under the Ryobi name. Secondly, I have driven the Ryobi and I would say amazing is a great word for it! At my facilities we own a karcher, a Cub cadet and an ego mower, I will probably be selling my karcher and my Cub cadet for the Ryobi at those two facilities, because it's so surprisingly impressive.
@@orppranator5230 I think it actually is putting out 1800 psi I don’t know what was different about Bob’s set up but there’s other detailer UA-cam channels that have also reviewed it and use the exact same pressure gauge on it and it hit between 17 and 1800 dead on the money with the pressure washer and oddly there’s came with four nozzles the four colored ones that you normally get and not the turbo nozzle so maybe there’s an updated version? I also have the same pressure washer that I use just for small jobs big things I use my 3200 psi 3 gallon per minute gas powered one but it’s kind a hard to use a gas powered one when you’re detailing a vehicle without risking burning up your pump when you stop to agitate dirt and have to shut it off every time lol but anyway I got 1750 psi from mine and very little change when switching from 0° all the way up to 45 but I have extremely high pressure alone right off my Spicket at 100 psi just on the hose bib so I’m kind of surprised Bob got only about 1200 because I know they put out more than that. And it also does meet or exceed the gallon per minute most other UA-camrs got almost 1.4 gallons per minute out of it but they had a sealed bucket with just the nozzle going through a tiny hole so in Ryobi‘s defense I think with Bob spraying water into open bucket a lot is lost from overspray splashing out of it otherwise I’m pretty sure he would’ve got the 1.2 gallons per minute out of it also for 100 bucks it’s one of the best little pressure washers out there of course there’s better ones we all know there is but for the weekend warrior that just wants to detail your car or use it for something else it’s a nice little combat unit you can throw in your truck you can throw it in your car and take it anywhere and they just work.
Pro tip from an old chef who used to do vent hoods. Take a small bucket for the grease and swipe the pallet blade on that. Saves in paper and the hard edge makes it easier to scrape.
How clean the cab gets just shows the level you are at. It just looks immaculate
Thanks much appreciated 😁👏❌💯
Nice job dude
Keeping your equipment clean makes it easier to find leaks plus it looks like the contractor cares about his brand image. Those 2 reasons are worth it alone. Great job with this make over.
Enjoyed every minute of this video!!! Bob is hilarious, wish we could get more videos. Man I’d love to have a steamer like that.
Lol thanks bud, looking to get onto a once per week schedule again this summer and fully blow off all the owner responsibilities that usually distract me lol
Team Chem-X are quite the innovators, Im expecting both prototype brushes for sale soon!! And of course, we all come for the Kona show!!! Have a good wknd guys!!
Thanks couz you too 😁❌💯
I feel like the customer didn't realize the gravity of the work it took to get to this level of clean.
That's why he made the video to get that tip
Glad the Ryobi got the job done. A bit small for what you are cleaning but I have one to clean my cars at home and it works great. Stick it on the shelf and forget about it till you need it again. Love your channel! Keep the dog in the videos.
Ive been with my ryobi for about 3 years now. Still pulling strong!
That preasure washer I use for 4 years now for my cars never had a problem. I just like how compact it is. It gets the job done.
I've got the DeWalt electric one and I've been fairly pleased with it. Sure doesn't replace bigger units for bigger jobs like this, but it's so useful around the house. Works great for cleanign the BBQ, cars, tools. It's ok for like a small walk way but soon as you get into the driveways and larger spots really need to switch to big GPM machines or you'll be there forever!
Some of the best knob polishing I've ever witnessed!!
Been using your products on all the cruisers I have been detailing and it works out great!
Makes my day to hear it thank you!
You make a great job and it was a lot of work. Thank you for the video. Wish you all the best
Even with the cold water set up my job has , the 2 step process just works wonders and it’s impressive
I picked up one of these while I wait for my AR Blue 630TSS and honestly kinda love it. Super portable and enough power for washing a car well. Cant beat it for $99 i recommend everyone has one of these suckers.
You gotta make more vids man you are awesome plus your products look amazing I've been heavily thinking about buying your starter pack and a foaming ik pump for the degreeser that stuff is insane and the mshine and snake oil on a crane 🤯 stuff is magic dude keep up the work 💯
Nice work guy - the Ryobi got a good workout, some home/hobby sort of use might do pretty well with it.
Man, you cleaned that like you're gonna sell it! I've used a number of Ryobi products and haven't been disappointed.
Well, Bob is an absolute gentleman! I told him I use to do these møtherfückers with brushes, soap and cold water from a hose and he decided not to flex and used this tiny Mattel power washer instead of his own gear! Now, he does still own all of the cleaners I could ever dream , and Friends with freaking genius tool hacks tho 😅
It was an awesome video, I could still smell the limonene melt the grease😊 the hour was well worth checking in your channel every few days for this 😂
Lol it was a fun concept for a video probably going to do a little more with this little machine and see what we can get done with it
@@ChemX yeah, like the drain in your shop after all this abuse 😂
Interior looks new, he sure does awesome work.
Ive done this job 7 years, car trucks boat tractor semi name it. I know the work and patience it require! And that my friend is a great job!👌
You injected high-pressure water into every oil, grease and electrical fitting on that machine. It's literally the worst possible thing you could've done to that equipment.
To be fair I only watch to see Kona 😉
I know where I stand here lol
😂
@@ChemX did you make the wand shorter on the ik foam pro
I have a older model of that pressure washer, nothing has changed other then the hose it comes with and a foam cannon. Thing is amazing for general use at home.
Yeah I’m impressed with it honestly I’ll be doing more with it down the road
Love the power tool assists!
I live in Brazil. I have a Yanmar sv08 mini excavator I spend 1 whole day to wash it. No matter how big or small it is, it takes a lot of work. I also put gloss wax on it. I always keep it spotlessly clean.
It’s good to keep ahead of it I’m sure that makes it a lot easier
Just found your content, I’m a UK bro, your content and products look dope
i have the older version of that ryobi and it worked wonders doing little detailing gigs here and there on the side. granted i also bought a different hose with a pistol? water gun. it didnt have a 24" barrel lmao. came in handy.
Tool Time with Bob👀. Continue the creativity with the brushes 👍👀
Yeah we had some fun here with those for sure
Looks great! Lots of hand work to do these. The only thing I’d add is get some rust oleum spray paint in matte, satin, and gloss black and touch up the rust spots where there’s black paint. Will help keep it from rusting more and will make it look almost new. Wouldn’t do it on cars but for heavy equipment it’s no problem at all.
Lil man know a thing or two nice save on the perfect brush setup big brain activity I love it
I bought the same ryobi 1800 a couple months back for $99 ..so far its pressure washed parts of my house, 3 cars, and cleaned a 30 year old driveway / sidewalk went from dark grey to creme colored.
Nice video. Im from Sweden, and we get alot of roadsalt, oils, traffic film etc... We use cold degreser before alkaline degreser. Mostly on asfalt dots and tar. So a tar remover before alkaline, try it out!
that ryobi is really just one of the copies of almost every consumer models of the same pressure available outside USA. I have an Electrolux that is the same internals but mounted vertically. To clean my yard and car and bicycles it's more than enough.
And I thought auto detailing was satisfying! Very cool video. Wish I became a heavy machine operator.
Honestly the little powerwasher was better than I thought it was I'd keep it around just for the foam cannon it seemed to work really well for it, also the chalky paint is caused by sun deteriorating the paint itself plus certain cleaning chemicals can strip the protective layer off of paint causing that chalkiness to develop in the first place
Yeah I’m gonna hold onto it and see what else it can get done. I think your right about the paint
A Classic :) Awesome :) Enjoying it :)
No me esperaba que fueras hacer un video de esta maquinita
Yo ya la tengo casi por 1 año y me ha salido muy bien .
That sawsall brush was actually a genius idea. Could be a gamechanging product with a little refinement
if that Kränzle had issue, just fix it, don't hate about it and make it look bad! i have one too and its a very good high quality pressure washer and they sell every part as a replacement...try to get anything for that Ryobi!
I love my Milwaukee folding knife.
Another great video Bob. I just picked up some Snake Oil to go with my S&S. Gotta get the John Deere all shined up from her winter grime!
Thank you sir! Also best knife ever I bought ten of em for my team too
I don't know why it relaxes me to watch this lol
The chalky look to the paint is actually paint oxidation which happens to vehicals that are exposed to the elements and sun
Yeah I agree I think that’s what caused it as well
My hybrid dude , tom petty / Dwight Yoakum cranking out another great video. You know you got a good channel going when I’m spending over an hour to watch a piece of roached equipment get cleaned , and look forward to occasional shots of the dog throughout the process.
Lol thanks for watching the whole thing this was practically a movie😂
Can’t imagine how long it actually took to make the video from unboxing , detailing , completion , editing etc. nice job. Keep em comin
5:12 I've carried one of the milwaukee knives like that for a couple years now, definitely super useful
i bought one of these Ryobi things and I was really wary buying such a cheap took, I was tired of the loud gas engine going constantly on my dewalt and i've been thoroughly impressed with it after probably 100 hours of time on it
I bought a ryobi chainsaw in spring 2020 and it's helped take down 3 dead ash trees, 2 mulberries, 4 dead pines, 1 dead cherry, and a 12" boxelder. Plus all the clean up, pretty great sae for $200.
I am surprised I don't see every comment talking about the tool hacks. Brilliant. Must do.
super impressed with you and the products buddy i own a heavy equipment co and have been a customer of chemx we use a karcher hot washer and light chemx products machines always come out looking new ! deffitnetly need a better sprayer to apply it we tried the milwaukee fuel sprayer but their junk time for some mtm cannons
I use the same Ryobi on residential vehicles but have a bigger power washer for the big Kenworth and RV type jobs.
The nonsense is great!
Love the videos you make!
Next, you should do another excavator, but do it the opposite way as fast as possible using the best equipment.
I've blown apart 2 of them plastic QC wands in 20 minutes, long story, but being light and quiet was important, got some electric washers just for it, they worked alright, same rating they said, parts fit each other, trigger valve blew to straight open the shaft split, switched to other gun did the same. They can wash things but hoses and wands have to be dedicated to the unit, and they aren't designed for regular use for long stretches, or volume, rinse your car weekly for a season, or deck each summer if stored properly.
That mist gun thing is a beast!
Call the brush the BFB, Big F’n Brush! Or maybe BFHB, Big F’n Hand Brush. 😆 Based off your experience and other’s comments here I’m definitely putting the little Ryobi on my shopping list! The sawzall brush I think is the Recip Saw BB for Brush Blade!
I don't know if you were using but Pro tip from me who runs heavy equipment for a living and cleans them often, the easiest way to clean off grease is by using a combo of HOT water and good soap. In our shop we have a diesel run copper coil water heater pressure washer that gives us very hot water.
Wow, i would have given up after 10 minutes with that little thing, but im impressed.
Didn’t even realise you were in the videos. I only watch here in 🇬🇧 for Kona ! ❤😂
She def brings in all the views lol
Great video Bob. Now you know the kinda of pressure most of us detailers are working with, though a passenger vehicle is much different from industrial excavation equipment! The sawzall brush was hilarious, but looked to be very useful! How many hours do you think it took to clean that beast? My 5 year old son kept looking over, he LOVES excavators, particularly CAT brand but he doesn't mind others. I see that Chief extractor attachment getting some love! Keep up the great work Bob & Chem-X team.
Lol thank you Martin. I’m not sure what hours I had into it, but I know the video timeline was 37 hours long when I loaded the raw footage lol
That excavator is only a baby. That’d fit in the engine bay of the excavators I work on
This is the same pressure washer I use on my semi truck every week. Welcome to my world Bob. LOL
You have my sympathy sir😂
This video has taught me that yes, it is possible for me to wash a Tonka truck with some elbow grease and a box of Scott boxed rags
she was so happy playing! I wouldn't get any work done with her around.
Great video. Bob is fucking hilarious and keeps it entertaining. Reminds me of my friends back home in Boston.
great job and video as always. I work for a rental company and clean all the equipement that comes in and it would sure be nice to have some of that heavy duty. The shop does not go easy with the grease gun!
Thanks bud yeah I don’t envy your job degreasing equipment is a lot of work lol
@@ChemX yeah it definitely isn’t the funnest job in the world but hey it’s work
The ingenuity that man has... lmao master of all problems
That was an hour well spent! The inside of that is straight out of a Hitachi!
That is very impressive.
Paper towels were my best friend when cleaning the bobcats at my old job lol. Every few months we'd power wash them, they'd look great for a day or two before just becoming a hot mess again lmfao. I was the only one that would ever clean out the grease nipples though, which was annoying because when they got clogged with dirt, rubber and grease you couldn't get the grease gun nozzle on them properly and it'd just squirt out everywhere.
Nice job on the clean, but I also would have liked to see clean grease be re-applied to through the fittings.
can you do a video of cleaning a pontoon boat? id be interested to see how you'd tackle the staining on aluminum toons.. preferably un polished toons haha
You really have much to learn from others
There is a power outlet on the scissor lift platform just plug an extension cord in at the ground of the lift
I used to work at a cat dealership and we used an alkaloid based degreaser that came in a 55gallon drum. We had a 3 gallon sprayer that used shop air to pressurize it. The soap would remove the oxidized layer of paint and break down the grease. The only problem was that you could only leave it on the machine for about 10 to 15 minutes or it would etch the paint and leave streaks on the paint and even the glass. There is a learning curve to cleaning. As far as the cab goes you would be surprised how clean you can get it with a drywall sponge and a pail of water and dawn dish soap. . I used a shop rag and brakleen to clean the layers of body oils from the joysticks. P.S. they only gave us 2 hrs to do the job.
Last year when I saw you place a detail factory interior brush into your power drill to clean the cab of a semi truck. It was then I knew you were a Master Jedi😤. Show us the way🫡
This is the way😁
For the type of flooring you have, this model is perfect. For homes with more carpeting I suggest the powered nozzle (electro power nozzle).
I have the craftsman electric version, it’s literally identical. Same gun, same foam gun, same connection type. I love it, a longer hose tho would be beneficial.
Yeah I was impressed by this thing, is the craftsman red? If it’s red I’m gonna buy one
@@ChemX The model is CMEPW1700. It’s like a rectangle prism shape with a red center and black outer. It has a handle on top and I’ve dropped it off a wall a couple times it’s very durable lol
Awesome job and video.
Definite bonus points because of Kona!
Props man. This is nasty work. I have just a small excavator and tractor I hit with the hotsy once a year. It's a messy job getting clean. Grease sucks.
A catwalk above the wall with the windows would probably be a handy and economical asset to have for the larger vehicles and machinery that come through there. Also more solid and cheaper from an insurance perspective than the scissor lift. Maybe? I dunno..... Just one of my random thoughts.
Spiffy job.
That snake oil was impressive.
It will be $50 on black Friday. Best entry into pressure washing for detailing! Don't forget to copy the obsessed garage upgrades
Looked clean to me from the start
Never underestimate the lazy dude with very little patience and a little ingenuity.
Here for the Kona show always 🫡✌️
Dude turned a Sawzall into an electric toothbrush for giants. I can't.... XD
love the dog.
I guess at leased its well greased machine. I’m sure a lot of machinists would be happy to see it. lol 😂
Cool 👍 very clean. Doesnt is make electrical Problems with all that foam an steam around the interior switches?
I like that shorter wand that ypu have on the Foam pro 12. Was that an iption that they offer or did thatr come with unit?
Fun fact, don't leave snake oil and stars and stripes in an unheated garage over winter. The snake oil suffered some separation and has waxy chunks floating in it and the stripes specifically for some reason lost most of its color. Still using both and the snake oil seems to work fine I've just remixed it best i can. The stripes is pretty weird cause it no longer is bright red its like a subtle organish red hue.
Those issues are not from freezing actually. Red dyes fade in uv light over time, that bottle of stripes will still work the same. The snake oil you got was probably my earliest batch which had just a hair more sio2 than the water could hold after few months storage, we fixed that issue since so send my team a screen shot of my message here to orders@chem-x.com and they can get you a replacement bottle coming
@@ChemX I've used a majority of the snake oil (it was the 32oz bottle) and last use it seemed to work fine still so not worth the hassle. However i do appreciate the feedback and offer. Overall I've had good experiences with most of the products and soon i will ge ordering more stuff. Ps maybe another scent option for the interior cleaner? My wife likes the green tea but while i don't dislike it, i don't love it and I don't generally care for leather smell either. Thats personal preference however the stuff is definitely an effective cleaner so overall im happy with it as well.
Thanks bud yeah we’re going to get some more scents going soon that’s def needed
the machine gods have been appeased, there was a ritual sacrifice, being that poor power washer, and the beast was cleansed xD
You've inspired me to download power washing simulator
With a paint brush and a little gasoline you can melt all that grease off in about 20 minutes. Keep a fire extinguisher handy just in case and only use a little at a time outdoors of course.
Once all the grease is gone you can bring her in and pressure wash like normal.
The chalk looks on the gray paint is oxidation.
Where did you get the same air compressor for it I looked at your shop and it wasn't there and isn't part of the ik foam pro 12
got a NorthStar washer 20 amp electric variable psi 900 up to 3000 at 1500 psi im getting 2.5gpm with a 5.0 orifice nozzle. thing wasnt cheap at 1250$ but it has auto start stop and can change the oil and motor if it dies. that's why i got it. people think the Kranzle ones are best 😅 yeah right. you can get a electric washer way better than Kranzle for the same price. i love when you destroyed the Kranzle in a video. u r the best
I have to say.....dogs thrown into industrial work videos......ya, they keep me watching lol!
I used a very high pressure washer every week to clean my machine and I can say that grease is a pain in the ass to clean off.
How you do Preventive maintenance wash inspect repair put back in operation. nice wash.
Were you putting hot water through the ryobi? If so, is it rated for hot water? I have a cheap green power washer (not any better than the ryobi) and it says not to use hot water, but that's what helps cut through grease so I wondered if the ryobi is able to use hot water.
