Front offices don't care nor look at MLB Pipeline or BA prospect lists. They have an idea of who and what they like and try their best to get a certain type. Or just have a preference or bias specific guys. For example, I found and scouted RHP Eric Cerantola, who's in AA with the Royals. I would have been finding a way to scoop him off KC's hands.
As far as the Jays, this season has been such a farce. Some analytics has a place in the game, but not when your using it constantly in your decision making. There is a thing called the eye test and it still works in my view. R.A. thought he could out smart everyone and it has backfired in a big way. Run prevention is great, but when over half of your losses you only managed to score two runs or less, it doesn't matter how many runs you prevent. Too many times they shift the outfield defense the opposite way to a pull hitter and I cannot count how many times what should be a single, turns into extra bases.

Look at the Jays' relief pitching staffs now is just pathetic, I would rather have young minor league pitchers to have a tryout for the rest of the season, rather than those garbage dumpsters dive pick up from waiver wire.

The lineup that finished off the game today. LMFAO. Sportsnet cancelled and taking a break. Hoping the rebuild goes quicky (5 years) but the reality is this team is gonna be bad for many years to come. And why on Gods green earth would Vlad sign to sit throught it? Or a Soto lol. Welcome to the rebuild. Cant wait to see Rogers response to a stadium with 10k a game.

Atkins is quiet quitting. Throw the whole front office out.

I like JD, but prone to hyperbole, they did inherit Vladdy jr. but that was pretty much it. AA sold the farm for those 2015-2016 teams, this is fact you can go and review what happened I'm sure it's searchable via the internet.. I'm not defending Atkins and Shapiro, as they should've been axed awhile ago. At the very least Atkins should've been fired last off season. They did make a good point that farm system is in terrible position #25-26th before the trades and #19-20 after the trades. I feel like a larger part of this is terrible scoutting, they haven't hit on many players in the last 7-8 years, that's on MGMT as well.

Ross Atkins needs to be fired and he can be an assistant to a another GM in a different organization. The Blue Jays front office and their evalutions on players is awful. Fire Ross Atkins every home game chant please
