Lyrics :
Walking tipsy, briskly from the scene of the crash,
It felt too good how high you stood it would not last
You broke a few hearts .. a couple promises too -
Left arm, Left leg, your Eye socket's blue, oh
Will the throbbing in your head ever stop?
The taste of blood encased in mud -
it aches on the topYou'll take a 7... and a SEVEN once more
Take it down, await the town, and break on the floor
You won't make it. Take it
You cannot sleep
Living day to day, it shakes you - they struck you deep
You're a blatant stranger changer until you're deceased
This is yours now, your pain to keep
Grab a cutlass, a rope, and frame from that shrine
Don't forget the angel sent from lord divine
Able men won't come, so it's just me and you
We need to show them why they're out,
They only knew
Table any thought because it's time to shine
Any disappointment come and meet me this time
In the wrong? Please... just take in that view
Can it for your sisters and your mothers too
You won't make it. Take it
You cannot sleep
Living day to day, it shakes you - they struck you deep
You're a blatant stranger changer until you're deceased
This is yours now, your pain to keep
Drift out in the ocean - Goshen. Take the leap
Shadows only haunt the children of the discreet
Sway until the day it makes it, they will fall right
Bright away the chains and stakes and fall down for the night

When my country was invaded, I volunteered and mobilized into the army in March 2022. After a year on the frontline, I was demobilized and tried to adapt back to civilian life. This week, I received news of my former unit deployed near Avdiivka and 20 people, whom I knew very well and served with, already missing in action. Hearing the music and the lyrics, I was able to cry for the first time in months. Thank you for that.
Very cool to see Danny taking the lead on this one. With three AMAZING voices in this band I'm thankful they give each one opportunities to shine!
Never thought Canadians would do Southern music so well.
Whoever choreographed their videos does an excellent job.
Another hit! Love to see Danny getting a chance to show off the pipes.
A new Dead South song every day still wouldn't be enough. Love you guys!!!
New album tomorrow! Hell yeah!
Big shout out to the videographer/editor on this video . The grading and lighting (smoke or mist filter?) is beautiful.
It's so great to know there is still a place in this world for clean, simple music. Wishing all of you continued success in your endeavors.
Great new song. I love there's many "lead" singers in this band. It prevents a predictable one sound, but never heard a bad song from thses guys. Their covers of classic rock songs are amazing!
Love The Dead South - Saskatchewan Boys - Deep South Canadian Style
I am usually so out of the loop I see music releases years after. I've never been this early for music in my life. I'm finally in the loop. I've made it, boys. 😎
I’m a Japanese immigrant who got into bluegrass and love the Dead South and wish they’d perform in Japan and make it big there
I just want it on record I’ve been complaining about lack of Danny lead songs for years lol. But fr, Danny’s vocal contributions, since the beginning, have been so underrated. At first, I thought TDS was 2 guys harmonizing, but the more I listened, the more I heard Danny. And just how important Danny’s voice was in that actual 3 part harmony. He has always had a beautiful, soulful voice. And they have really always been doing 3 part harmonies, lately 4 with Colton singing more. My ear can’t pick up ALL the nuances that make this band genius, but ya just gotta appreciate and give props to one that is so talented.
The dead south the best blue grass band, they are the only ones who deserve an award for the genre.
Danny's voice makes me melt!
Happens to be my absolute favorite song on this album. Thank you Danny for writing it.
The world needs a band like this, I love this. And those dances. 👏👏❤️❤️
I don't like concerts but for some reason I will like to see them live.
As usual Dead South never fails to please. Well done chaps.
