- It seems like the healthcare administration jobs are nonexistent in my city and it is so discouraging, but I am always trying to keep a positive mindset! Hi , military spouse here , I am currently in the same position , I had a secure job in Houston , but due to having to move to fort drum there are no jobs here & I feel like being a military spouse you sacrifice your career & its so hard ! I’m really thinking about going for my masters in Human Resources just to open more opportunities and not just be focused only on healthcare !
Hi!! It’s so nice to hear someone with a similar experience! I try not to be discouraged especially when other military spouses say “forget your career, you won’t be able to have one while your husbands in the military.” I am so career oriented I just cannot accept that…but it’s hard! Branching into HR is a good idea
@@aniyah_nashee yes girl ! I’m struggling & I’m trying to see if I’m going to go for my MBA in healthcare management or just do my MBA in HR , so I can open more opportunities in both! As much as I love healthcare , it’s very challenging as well especially when you’re already a military spouse !
@breaunnachark4487 it seems like healthcare administration is big only in certain cities, but we don’t have the luxury of being in the cities we want to be in! I am trying not to give up on remote jobs. That’s what we need as spouses, a good paying remote job that we can do anywhere

Have you ever thought about the entry level office manager role? It usually requires 1-2 years of administrative/medical office experience, which I believe you have
My location is what was killing me, anyone from El Paso will tell you the job market is terrible due to having so many people crossing the border to work. I have since left El Paso and have found much more opportunities!

Try looking at Houston, i know they have a lot of hospitals. I'm in NY at the hospital.
I am trying my best not to move away from my husband (he is in the military), but man this city is not it. I am hopeful that I can find a fully remote opportunity, if not I may consider moving!
