how I was manipulated by my narcissistic supervisor...part one
Hey friends, I know this is a bit different than what I would typically upload but I am trying to be more open about the experiences I have in the workplace and in my personal life! This one hit hard and I felt like I needed to share my story. Have you experienced this before?

    I went through this same exact thing, but I stayed for four years on the team. I worked in account management, so my male boss couldn't exactly get rid of me because my Sales Reps loved me. He attempted to try to frame his boss into this horrible scary person so that he was the only point of contact. Long story short, she was fired, and he got her job after claiming he never wanted it. The mental abuse I endured working under him is going to be difficult to work through. I will be ok. Be careful people, they always try to make it like it's what's best for you. He would even ask me if I was happy? There are sick people out there guard your mental health.

    CNA or pct can make more than medical assistants bcos of shift work n shift pick ups . Pick an extra shift or do a double CNA or pct can get close to 2k per paycheck or more which medical assistant cannot

    • @aniyah_nashee
      @aniyah_nashee Місяць тому

      I think that depends heavily on where you work (e.g. hospital or clinic). I think all 3 of them (CNA, PCT, MA) are on the same playing field when it comes to money, but I personally don’t want to have to pick up shifts or do doubles to make more money😩 I would rather make a lot of money with a set normal amount of hours which is why I personally left. There are many other careers that pay more for less work. However, if that lifestyle doesn’t bother some people then that works too!❤️❤️

    • @oyato1
      @oyato1 Місяць тому

      Of course for those with a school degree. But for those tending the medical pathway for not only experience but flexible schedule for school pct wud be most appropriate an 8-5 might not be easy for nursing students or CSFA school or medical school etc . CMA n pct jobs are entry level stepping stones to get u to a bigger role not to remain at entry level assists. If u not lookin to go the medical route then by all means u can go into other higher paying regular hours jobs.

    • @aniyah_nashee

      @oyato1 I agree. Those roles are perfect for aspiring nurses or aspiring healthcare professionals. This video was more so made for those who want to pivot or make more money, but may not want to be a nurse or a doctor and are looking for other options that may provide a higher wage!

      @@aniyah_nashee there alway dental assistant $25-$30/hr or dental hygienist $45-$70/hr just like nursing. It don’t Hv to be nursing or physician . I think those two are actually better than CMA n RN but it’s often overlooked. It very relaxing n rewarding

      @@oyato1 Yes, there are definitely many rewarding careers in healthcare! This video was about my personal choice if I could go back and do it again. Assisting in surgery interests me, I’m not really into teeth lol; but yes there are many other avenues for people with other interests!

    Thank you to all the PA’s telling their story and giving their perspective - good or bad! This is so helpful for all those in college trying to figure out their next move. There is something for everyone and sometimes things look good on the outside looking in, but when you get into it it’s ultimately not what you expected. This video was never a means to bash the profession or get people to not go into it - quite frankly we need all the healthcare workers we can get! I only hope it provides the clarity I never received in college and can save other students time, energy, and money. Love you my fellow healthcare babes! xoxo

      @@aniyah_nashee yea nicely done. Me too I wish I had such info clarity when was in school wuda made better choices whilst younger but it’s not too late to go on n correct past mistakes. Currently tryna take the pre reqs for either nursing or dental hygiene school and prep for the entrance exams. Purposely left the 8-5 to get experience as a tech in the ED in preparation for either nursing school or DH. And also for flexibility to accommodate school schedules. Pharmacy was the initial choice but struggled badly with chemistry n o Chem took o chem 4-5 times before I even got a C then a B n still dint make it to the program . My girls in nursing school then had asked me to forget about that n join them in nursing school but was set in my way n dint listen now they all RN to MDs or RN to NP or even RN to DMD and here I am just starting my own nursing journey! However better late than never .. it’s not how fast but how well n we would all eventually get to the finished line . Lol!

    Been working for 19 years as a PA and I agree. Have overworked and underpaid for many years. In addition, there is no respect when it comes to being called an assistant or even an associate. There is no collaboration with the physician when I'm doing 95% of the work. Physicians see you as cash for their business while others see you as only a helper to the doctor. I've been called a CNA, even a medical assistant. Nothing wrong with these professions but being called something you're not, is a big problem. I even have my Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc). One time someone read that on my badge and said, does that translate to "dumb a**." To know that I have come this far, with retaking my boards 3 times since 2005, even getting my doctorate...still being treated like crap. NCCPA has done nothing miraculous for PAs, other change our name from physician assistant to physician associate. We still don't have autonomy/full practice authority like NPs do. And yes, most employers want NPs over PAs due to this reason alone.

    I listed some helpful tips. For record, I spent nearly six months after sophomore year applying to hundreds of jobs across all sorts of job sites to finally obtain a revenant job which I can currently working at as I finish my degree in the upcoming months. 1.) Apply, apply, apply, (for context: I applied to over 100 applications from LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiter and Handshake) 2.) Don’t be afraid to apply to actual job postings and part time postings (I actual got my internship through applying for a normal job and negotiating my way into the position.) 3.) Rewrite your resume using key terms (My previous job was as a server but I included skill sets just as Mangement and bookkeeping to better appeal to the job I was applying for.) 4.) Network (I attended dozens of random events across my city just to spread my name in hopes of obtaining a reverent internship within my career. 5.) Negotiate with the job posting (I originally apply for a position offering 26 dollars an hour but offer to do the same work for 16 which helps boost my chances with the position. 6.) Rearrange your school schedule (In order to work a job during college, I may sure to take a few online courses when I can and try to set all my classes within two days during the week which made it easier to work a job/internship. 7.) Don’t be afraid to apply for internships outside of your major. Any internship experience is good experience and helps obtain the next internship/job much more easily.

Reach out to employers directly if you can. 3.) Use every recruiter site possible; Linkedin, Handshake, Indeed, zip recruiter. 4.) Search for part time positions if possible since there are more reasonable to hire a college student. 5.) Negotiate (companies love to rip people off so if you’re really to do the same job as someone else for less pay then a company may be willing to take you on. For context, the position I got was marked for $30 dollars an hour but I offer to work for $16 instead and their were more than happy to rip me off… I mean give me work experience. 6.) I made my resume sound better than it was, I made it seem like I work with computers at my old job which was a server position when in reality I just use a machine to ring up customer food tickets. 7.) I change my school schedule to make this job/internship work with my school schedule. I made sure to take classes online when I can and when I had to take them in person, I took them at night mostly or only on two days of the week. If I were to say securing internships and part time jobs during college was easy, I’ll be lying. Network (I attended dozens of random events across my city just to spread my name in hopes of obtaining a reverent internship within my career.

      @@aniyah_nashee I listed some helpful tips. For record, I spent nearly six months after sophomore year applying to hundreds of jobs across all sorts of job sites to finally obtain a revenant job which I can currently working at as I finish my degree in the upcoming months. 1.) Apply, apply, apply, (for context: I applied to over 100 applications from LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiter and Handshake) 2.) Nice home. For the master get a nice nightstand. For the living room by the mirror a nice lil rug would be cute and add some greenery like a plant

      What kind of nightstand do you think? Should I get clear acrylic nightstands or the nightstands that go with the bed frame?
