I will definitely have a go at this recipe. Stifado is one of my very favourite Greek dishes. It will bring back lots of happy memories.
Sounds great!

Looks yum! Definitely will try to cook this tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your recipe. 🥂
My pleasure 😊
I finally got round to using my InstantPot for the first time on Sunday and decided that this recipe would be the first thing I made. Delicious. I live alone so half the amount fed me for three days and it was lush, so simple. This recipe is definitely a keeper. Thank you Scott.
Wonderful!
Living in CY and one of my favorites .. it's interesting you do not fry the meat beforehand, you add it straight as it is to the pot .. will do it your way. Looks seriously amazing and seriously easy :)
Hope you like this one! 😉
Great vid Scott. Love your passion for cooking and you have a great gift for slowing things down and methodically making the recipe very easy to follow. Keep up the good work!
I think this would also work in a slow cooker as well although you wouldn't get the flavour of the caramelised shallots unless you pre did them.
Thanks Roger, that’s very kind of you 🙏🏻
Made this last night it was delicious
Great to hear Kim, thanks for sharing!
I bought an InstantPot this time last year and finally decided to use it last Sunday. The Stifado was the recipe I decided to start with and it was delicious, so simple. I made half the quantity as I live alone and it fed me for three days with the addition of some fresh veg. This is definitely a recipe I will be using again. Thank you Scott.
Glad to hear this, Gillian! 🙌🏻
The aroma emanating from the kitchen is awesome, will report back on how it tastes but I think you already know what that will be 😂
This was absolutely spectacular, made a big batch for freezing, it’s up there with the best. Scott you’re a star
Epic feedback. Thanks Laurence. Glad you liked it 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thanks I have clicked 👍🏻because Greek is best - it’s ‘kali orexi’ ! Good on you for trying ❤
Thanks, Desley! 🙌🏻
I will taste it today
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@ScottBaptie everything was fine but...the quality of the beef wasn't that good...but wasn't my fault... next time I will buy better quality
Def gona try this 😂
Hope you like it!
The dish as we know it today in Greece can be traced back to the 13th century, when the Venetians introduced it to the areas they had conquered.
Thanks for sharing.
This looks delicious and so easy.. Is it in one of your books?
Thanks Gill. Yes, book 2 www.foodforfitness.co.uk/hph-2
Scott, my oven isn't working, could this be done in a slow cooker for the 3 hours? Cheers ma man, top bloke and banging recipes!!
Yes, it should work! Enjoy the recipe!
Am going to do this in my slow cooker my only concern is not finding the cloves before eating. Looks delish, thanks from Dundee.
Hope you like it! 🙌🏻
Is there a recipe link?
Hey, this can be found in the app. Just click the link above :)
What can be used to replace pasata and red wine?
Chopped tomatoes and beef stock.
@@ScottBaptie Thanks
I have watched several videos on this recipe. May I ask why you did not see the meat? Anything to do with nutritional values or just a different cooking style? thanks!
Hi! Just a different cooking style. You can still do it that way :)
@@ScottBaptie thanks for your reply ! (and I just realized I made a typo, I meant seared but you got it )
How can I replace red wine?
You can just use stock :)
The link to the written recipe is not working!!
