@@GreenerGrass Jeb, your videos make my WEEK WORTHWHILE! 😅 Just wets my appetite to visit these awesome places and experience these trains planes or automobiles! (Get the pun!) 😂
Jeb & Suzanne: "We are not fancy" also Jeb & Suzanne: traveling on the most luxurious commercial transportation modes... I enjoy the storytelling, the background music is relaxing, and the experience on board makes me want to travel...
Yeah, I always laugh when they say it. It’s generally like once a video and it’s always when they are doing something very fancy. I think their definition of fancy is royalty. I’ve never even heard of 75% of the food they eat in these excursions. They are a long way from cup of noodles and spam that a good chuck of us eat haha. Still doesn’t take away from the videos though and I’ll always enjoy them. It just gives me a chuckle whenever they talk about not being fancy.
Yea let’s not wax lyrically about Jeb. I love his videos but his travels are not the norm and are not what most of us can afford. A little bit of humble travel from time to time wouldn’t go astray.
When you say you are not "fancy", it is what makes your channel very enjoyable. See places from a "regular" persons view, a lot more fun than watching reviewers which are clearly corrupted. Keep it that way! 😃
Yea let’s not wax lyrically about Jeb. I love his videos but his travels are not the norm and are not what most of us can afford. A little bit of humble travel from time to time wouldn’t go astray. I’ve seen a few other reviewers that do the same have lost viewers over the last few years - specially as we seem to be entering a financially different period and perhaps a recession.
Amazing that they were able to deliver these luxury experiences (gourmet food, perfectly made beds, liquor, and top notch service) within the confines of a train. The management and staff of the company deserve recognition for going above and beyond expectations.
So my wife and I have been to Singapore and Malaysia several times, it is one of our favorite destinations in the world. And we’re actually in the process of retiring to M’asia within the next few years. And while I realize the conceit of this channel is planes and trains, I literally choked when you revealed the price for this trip. That is literally *two years* worth of rent at the condo we are looking to move into over there! All I can say is, I sincerely hope that after traveling to the literal antipodes from the US, that you guys stayed there for another week or two to experience the country as one should: great hotels at amazing rates, and some of the best food in the world at insane prices. I’m hard pressed to spend more than US $5-10 at a hawker center in My (maybe twice that in Sg), and they have always been some of the best meals on the planet. Hope you make more vids in SE Asia!
Thanks! I just wanted to say that perhaps, since you are the owner of your videos, you can sell them, or pieces of them, to travel agencies in the future. I'm sure I'm not the first one to suggest it. BUT if I am. I want to be somewhere you will be. Maybe at my expense. I love you both.
Thank you again for showing a whole lot of the scenery in superior quality. 30 seconds & better when exceptional scenery is much appreciated. So many blogs use too many cliches speed changes.
I have no particular interest in trains and travelling because of awful motion sickness, but I accidentally came across your videos last night, and I can't stop watching them!
I’m not usually one to follow trains but THIS…this is incredible…thanks for taking the time to bring us along!! I don’t think many people realize how much work goes into, Planning, and execution of the plan…not to mention how you guys didn’t have to record this and you could’ve easily taken this time to relax but no! Just shows your guys passion, and commitment to this platform…thanks guys!
The Indian maharaja express offer everything it has. Luxurious rooms, fancy bar, gym, spa and 5 star like restaurant. It charges 7000 to 15000 dollars for a seven day journey.
I really appreciate how grounded you guys have stayed through all the luxury and high class living! Thank you for sharing another incredible experience!
You keep it fresh in your adventure choices. The rainforest really was a rare opportunity and that symphony of bug sounds; I loved it. They didn't miss a thing. Well worth it.
This train route has literally been on my bucket list since I was in High School (which is now approaching ~ 15 years at this point)- I lived and worked in Thailand for two years and did a lot of travel through Malaysia and Singapore so just any kind of relaxing trip is still number one in my book! Awesome video!!!!
Greetings from Penang, Malaysia! Hope you and Suzanne had enjoyed your trip in Malaysia! Thank you for the great video as hoping someone will make a video about the Eastern & Oriental Express. Hope you will be back to Malaysia soon as there is so much more to explore here. Hopefully one day you will make a video reviewing Malaysia Airlines with your JebScore! ps. Taman means Park, Negara means Country, so in a sense it literally translate to National Park. 😅
Loving your videos, I have been living in the UK for 14 years and afternoon tea is still a rarity for me but once you've had afternoon teas in all their glory you'll grow to like them
bet Suzanne was chuffed when she found out she didn't have to sleep on the top bunk. as for afternoon tea, can't beat it. just a break in the day to kick back. 👍
Your detailed tour of the Presidential Suite on Belmond’s ‘Eastern & Oriental Express,’ including the luxurious amenities and premium bar car, is fantastic. Thanks for sharing your journey through Singapore and Malaysia!
My Dad was in the RAF and we lived in Malaysia for 3 years. I loved it, as a child we had so much fun! I still bear a scar of a slide down a quarze hill convinced a tiger was chasing us .We lived in KL in a few different places. My favourite was the flat where we walked to the school bus each morning and saw the orangutan family in the tree on the way. Much more built up now and don't want to change the memories by returning. I do remember the bird eating spiders walking across the grass....
What's not to like about Afternoon Tea? Alternating bites of sweet and savory with a nice cup of tea (or coffee) to wash it down. I am pretty much American and not at all fancy, but Afternoon Tea is actually my favorite meal.
overrated, actually. tourists almost always go to Penang or Melaka after KL. the true underrated Malaysian destinations are Sabah, Sarawak, Perlis and the east coast
JEB! So glad to see you back! 😁 Trains are my absolute favorite way to travel and see travels! Excited to see this adventure! I haven't watched it just yet but I'm crossing my fingers Suzanne is with you! I love the solo vids but Suzanne is a queen! 🎉 Happy travels!
I rode Amtrak back in 1988. I was in an individual room. A toilet and a sink were all I needed. It was the greatest experience for a long-ish train ride. I don't eat horse-meat. LOL
Now the aesthetic and fabrics and attention to detail and incredibly beautiful food on top of the view, and I’m sure the excellent service, is what I think of when I hear luxury train. And while being a Canadian, we have the incredible views, the trains, well kind of leaves something to be desired.
Afternoon tea may not be your thing, Jeb, but I have a feeling you took a distinct pleasure in watching Suzanne enjoy the sweets that came with the tea.
I absolutely love your videos! At almost 80 I’m not traveling anymore of course never say never but for the most part I’m just at home so your videos take me places I’ll never go thank you! Have you ever found meals that you just couldn’t eat that just weren’t to your taste at all?
Excellent video. Beautiful excursion; and that train was gorgeous. You and Suzanne definitely know how to present luxury trips. It's always informative and breathtaking to see. Then comes my absolute favorite- the bloopers. You two are a very hilarious couple. I love it. Again, excellent.
Great video! I took the E&O in 2004 from Singapore to Bangkok. Had a blast! Dinners were black tie back in those days. So glad it’s back in service and hope it will restore service to Thailand soon!
I do love these videos. I once took the auto train with my husband and daughter in the family sleeper car. The sleeping was hell. I rocked the wrong way, and we were on the lower lever. Noisy as hell! The stops were loud, intrusive, etc. Food was okay. There's not a lot for a toddler to do. We brought our own mini-tv with VCR access. LOL. I think the years was 2002
Fellow Malaysian here....and glad you're able to finally step foot into the better parts of the country , enjoy yourself and well, taste the strong coffee. I would also dream of taking this train in way distant future....alongside that Indian Pacific train in Australia you've reviewed in the past. My wallet ain't gonna thank me lol
This was just a fabulous travel blog. You and Suzanne bring it every time. I love the way the two of you make it feel as if we’re part of your journey. As a person who loves train travel myself, this was an absolute treat.
Thank you for showing the menus IN the video. I had stopped watching for a while because I didn't like having to go to a different website to read the menus. It wasn't cohesive. Great, relaxing video! I gave it a like and subbed.
Great job with the video and highlighting the features of the train, and your experience in Malaysia. You're not wrong that everything there revolves around food culture!
Amazing video on another A+ train! And just when it couldn't get luxurious enough, you drop a Laurent Ferrier Traveller on us! An apt time piece for one of the most luxurious train experience! When are we going to see you talk about watches???
We absolutely loved this vlog, so interesting, can totally understand the ‘we’re not fancy people’ I did a day trip a couple of times on the Orient Express in England and thoroughly enjoyed it, but don’t think I could sustain fancy food for a great length of time, but loved escaping to that world for the day.
The production quality on this channel is equal to anything you can get on TV. Amazing job, guys. Beautiful and informative. I really enjoy your work.
Wow, thank you!

Great editing, great video quality

i love the warm toned woods throughout the train. so beautiful!
