Hey From Northern VA 👋 - Thank you for Beers and Budgets! Finding this channel has made a HUGE difference in our financial lives and how we look at, and communicate about, money. My husband is self employeed, and I am a stay at home (homeschooling) mom of teenagers. Using your advice in 2023, we were able to pay off over $23,000 in debt, save 2 months emergency fund and STILL take a family trip to Flordia! 🎉
Also, would really love to see a similar video that focuses on your retirement contributions from this past year/things automatically deducted from paychecks
Love this!! You two are such a joy to watch, thank you for sharing bits about your life. So happy you got to use that money for amazing experiences last year for yourselves and the people you love AND you're also prioritising that home down payment. Can't wait to see what this year brings for you both 💖
I assume the monthly income on that spreadsheet is after taxes and pre-tax retirement contributions with the way you're tracking expenses? Do one or both of you always max out the pre-tax retirement contribution options that are available to you?
Nice Video....does this means you all did not do any investing this year? Like in your Solo 401k, SEP IRA, or Individual Brokerage ACC? I Kyle retirements are taken out pretax.
I feel like daycare costs everywhere are so high. I live in a city in Wisconsin and 2k/mo in childcare is definitely here too! Of course you can find cheaper and more expensive, but the average is pretty high for being Wisconsin
Oh wow! Yeah the way daycare is setup is not sustainable at all. Workers are underpaid, parents are over charged, and providers barely break even. Not a business model anyone wants to be i .
Hi hope you don t take this the wrong way but why are the beers and budgeting videos so behind. Like I think your November/December video came out in January/February? Just wondering why they’re so behind
Can you show at some point how do you move money to different accounts and how do you handle that in your bank? You may need 4 or 5 checking or savings accounts to create those pockets, don’t you?

Thanks so much!!
I've seen rough scripts for "money meetings" but it's so nice to see it actually modeled.
Appreciate you 🙏🏽
Thank you for doing this detail review. I appreciate it!
I'm most proud of the 30k student loan debt I paid off in 2023. Hoping to accomplish even more in 2024 :) cheers!
Great as usual, beers and budgeting are always my favorite videos. You guys are doing great and making impressive progress 💪
This was fun ! Great video.
Do you have the spreadsheet available to copy?

Around 17:13 they mention that Kyle maxes out his 401k and HSA
Great show!
50k on rent & 25k on daycare must hurt bad. At least you are enjoying life though!
Ughh it does 😣😣
Aww Kyle saying nice things to Justine ❤
Great video😊 2023 we saved our goal amt
Nice work!
You need to try Clase Azul… one of my absolute favorites. I dont drink it with ice, just straight, its delicious

We did! A few taxable brokerage accounts, my SEP-IRA, and his 401k.

Love it!
Is your total income gross? or is that take home pay? Thanks
This is take-home pay!
I’ve stayed at that tequila distillery! They’re in Tequila- just like Jose Cuervo!

Give me the name of that tequila! How do you spell it.
