  • It's been 29 years since 3 women disappeared from their own home in Springfield, Missouri. Mother Sherrill Elizabeth Levit, Sherril's daughter Suzanne “Suzie” Elizabeth Streeter, and Suzie's friend Stacy Kathleen McCall mysteriously disappeared from Sherrill's home. There were several reports of the women being spotted with strange men and creepy calls made to the house, but not much else. Savannah explores what we know about the missing women, the day they disappeared, and the efforts to find them for nearly 3 decades.

      In the new update of the Springfield Three podcast by Anne Roderique Jones, a man said he saw Suzie Streeter in Lambert Saint Louis in 2008. The woman he recognized as Suzie worked at a cardealer there. If it's true or not that podcast is a great listen. She interviewed almost everyone.

    I've always wandered How Janelle Kirby knew Susie's address since they weren't close & Suzie and Sherrill had only lived there for 2 months after Sherill's divorce. Cell phones weren't readily available... pagers, answering machines & telephone directories/phone books used to get addresses but there's wouldn't have been printed since the recent move. So how did she know where to go that following AM since she wasn't able to get a hold of anyone.

    As far as taking down 3 people, if one person has a gun (or even a knife held to one person) they can hold an entire block of people hostage. All it takes is the threat of shooting a person if the others act up to gain control over a group of people.

I wonder if there was some kind of evidence of a struggle, but anything that had been knocked over was just put back in place by the people who were straightening the house up. edit to add: and were the purses all lined up by the women who owned them, the perp who was looking for something in them, or the friends who were cleaning the house? The fact that all of the cash was still in one of the purses makes me think the friends who were cleaning lined them up like that.

    I lived in Springfield at the time and for several years afterwards. U disagree that it would be difficult for one man to take hold of 3 women. Sherrill Levit was none to sleep in the living room. The intruder could have easily put a gun to her head when she went to her door or after he snuck in, forced her into the room where the girls were sleeping, awakened them and threatened to shoot if they didn't come along. All would have been surprised, sleepy and since the girls had been at parties, possibly impaired.

    I’ve watched many videos on this case. The common thread in all murder cases is usually the people being killed normally know their killer. One thing that always stood out to me as odd was Janelle, the friend of the girls. Janelle and her boyfriend “cleaned up the house” which would be a great cover story if you’re destroying evidence. Janelle says the girls left her behind which sounded a lot like jealousy. And why was Janelle just all willy nilly enjoying a day at the water park when two of her supposed good friends hadn’t been heard from? Watch Janelle talking about the girls being missing from the local news. Notice her demeanor when talking, it seems as if she knows a lot more than she’s saying.

    Oh speaking of have someone could have gotten these women out or under control, well like I previously mentioned is the police/authority figure theory, maybe threat, possibly gun or other weapon on girls or my thinking is he incompassitated them. Which, could have only been possible if the witnesses who claimed she saw Suzie driving a van was incorrect.

    Thanks for the vid. In Cold Blood was a commandeering assault situation. So was the Joseph Edward Duncan assault in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Robert Cox was trained as an Army Ranger so he was trained to do just that. The broken light bulb was the perp's reaction to the light suddenly being turned on. He either tried to unscrew it and it broke or he outright smashed it before rushing through the front door. At that hour they were tired and slow to react. Looks like Cox tried to kiss his victim and she bit his tongue off. Where is the tip of the tongue and did they look in Sharon Kay Zellers' mouth for Cox's blood?

    I seen this case decided to review it myself. I been searching the clues of these videos the first time I seen the girls picture one stood out it was I never heard of her never seen her before but the picture reminded of someone who it took me very short time of looking at her picture before it clicked the Susan girl looked like Kelley from 90120 this case took place in 92 and the tv show started in 1990 so is it possible someone took notice to her. I dug deeper Susan worked at a movie theatre where everyone in town could of met or seen her. So tons of possible suspects then you have her brother he was kicked out of he home and disowned my question is how old is this brother ? because to me his friends would all be suspects that would of met Susan or possible grew a fixation for her all these people to me could be suspects. I looked at the clues I think girls came home from parting looking at Susan car she was drinking some her tires appear to be on the grass I think someone waited for the girls to come home the mother was already in bed sleeping once everyone got ready for bed he knocked at the front door the girls just partying with a bunch of friends would of just gotten up thinking it was someone they knew or met that night. They open the door the perp broke the glass orb then forced into the house its possible only one girl went to the door because of the clues left behind there is no way Stacy would of open the door if only in T shirt and underwear and a guest she might not of even got out of bed but Susan possibly being a little drunk perhaps make a mistake opening the door due to alcohol in her system. Once in the house varnished a gun then I would assume took all the women into one room where Susan at gun point tied them up leaving her the only one un tied and able to drive the van reported. It all fits he used a gun he forced the one girl to tie up the other 2 then walked them out of the house but the other clue is the broken glass at the front door with the other clues its clear none of the girls went back out the front door because there would be blood from being bare foot ! It explains why the back door was unlocked no chance the single mother left the back door un locked at night. The girls were taken without there shoes on according to the clues one had nothing but t shirt and under wear leaving her clothes behind. I have a feeling the girls were taken out the back door to the van where Susan was made to drive with the other 2 women tied up in the back of the van at gun point Susan did what she thought she had to do. Now why or how come I think Susan was the target she is good looking looks like Kelley from 90210 she has a car with a plate on it that someone could stalk and find then knew she lived with her mother alone its why to me the brothers friends or possibly the mother ex boy friend would be all suspects. I think Stacy was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Why do I think it was Susan because the perp went to her house he was clearly in my mind looking for Susan he then had her tie up the other 2 women then he had her drive the van according to a witness he treated her differently then the other two women. Looking over cases like this my gut tells me Susan was the target I think the guy was fixated on her its possible there was more then one person but I really don't think it fits because the perp might of just had a fixation on Susan once in the house he just had to have a weapon on one of the girls to threaten the others to be quiet. The purses all in one spot might of been a ploy to make it look like a robbery only but when 2 of the girls were tied up and under control he took them leaving all valuables because it looks like he wanted a person in that house and Stacy didn't live there its very likely he took her because she seen him and knew him. If Cox knew Stacy threw her dads work its possible he seen Susan with her. The pieces do fit no matter what the girls odds are did know the man !! Just my thoughts on the case I think the perp had a fixation on Susan it fits for her not Stacy who didn't live there but there is one other possibility that I have seen nothing about they just bought that house 2 months prior who owned it before them ? who sold or showed them the house sometimes there is a salesman showing the house ? did they check all those people out for suspects because its a little fishy that 2 months after buying a new home they vanished perhaps the perp was coming for someone that lived there prior. So many questions I still have about this case !!

    • @rucianapollard7098
      @rucianapollard7098 Рік тому

      You make a lot of excellent points!! I never would have made the connection that one of the girls looked like Kelly from Beverley Hill 90210!! Perhaps she was the target. My problem with your theory, even though it's a good one, is that Susie and Stacy weren't supposed to be at Susie's house that night! Remember, the girls were going to sleep over at a friend's house, but due to overcrowding, they came home, otherwise, they would not have been there when the suspect(s) arrived!! Did someone know about their last minute change in plans?

    • @dalelapointe9289
      @dalelapointe9289 Рік тому

      @@rucianapollard7098 I think the target was living in that house she was stalked they might of decided to take her that night not knowing she wasn't suppose to be home but sadly she came home her friend was taken because she seen them is my guess. the mother was either sleeping when the attack occurred or already taken out while the stalker waited for Susan to come home. I think Susan was the target she had the plate which allowed the stalker to find her home she worked in public at the theater plus the hottest movie going on at the time was 90120 she is a dead ringer for Kelley !

Also their has to be more than one person it can’t be one guy that allegedly attacked them cause theirs 3 of them they could have fought and at least one get away.
