That’s a shame, it does sound amazing! I was hoping Anthem may do a firmware upgrade to show each individual sound format. I also like each sound format appearing. I just purchased the Anthem Power 525 amp.
@@concordhifi yes mate--- they look ok but overpriced compared to many others who give you all the bells and whistles, it doesnt cost any more to make a arcam, anthem etc over a yamaha, denon, integra etc--- im yet to make a decision on my next reciever but sound format is a major one--- cheers mate,
@@666dualsport l like Arcam also, another brand that isn’t bad is, and thought it was good value - are Denon. Marantz awesome for music - 70% music - 30% Home Theatre and Denon I found the opposite 70% Home Theatre and 30% for music. That’s just me though…. Go with what you like.
Thanks, no fan noises at all, however I ‘em running as a pre-amp. HDMI sync - sometimes needed (few and far between when it happened) to be switched to another input and back again. However since upgrading to the 8k board I haven’t had that. Other than that, no issues as far, gives me that dynamic sound I want when listening to movies 🎥
Nice video bro, currently have a Yamaha aventage rxa1070 and was looking to upgrade, was looking at this anthem, I want a step up, is this a step up from my current amp ? As its a lot of money 😬
Thanks, I’m hoping to do a second video soon, on the anthem 740 and the anthem power amp 525. Show a little more detail in the video and my pros and cons.
Hi, The processor is getting used, the amp for the speakers is not engaged, (cut off entirely, not sure) from my experience I have very little to no fan noise. As my power amps are doing the work for the speakers.
Major downfall with mrx series, the analog inputs arnet anslog, they have dap applied, no way to use external dac without dsp being applied, spoke with anthem about how this shouldnt be like that, theysaid if i want analog then buy the avm90. Took it back and replaced with Nad t778, and sonically smacks anthem across the face
Yeah it’s an amp that’s sounds great. But still needs some slight improvements. I think 🤔 if you’re paying 3k + you should have some those things included. Glad you’re enjoying NAD. I still like the 740, but if I was to go to the AVM90, miles well pay that little extra and go to McIntosh MX200
a huge display that tells you bugger all--- i want to see sound format and all the other things the others provide, anthem cost more and give you less-----goodbye anthem
Only way to show the details of the sound format is to press - ‘mode’ on the remote and displays the details but then goes back to so the basic sound format info. However it would of been good to just so those details on the screen to begin with.
Love the glass shaking and the blu rays falling off the shelf 🎉
😂😂😂😂
Hahahaha - Thanks, no cgi here, just old school practical special effects hehe
the lack of displayed sound format is a deal breaker for me

When you use pre outs does this cut off the internal amp?
