    He’s still young relatively, but situations like his are why I wish the NBA draft process was similar to baseball has. They allow players to be drafted out of high school but if they decide to go to college they have to wait 3 years before they can be eligible for the draft again. One year if they go to a JUCO. Seems like the best of both worlds to me. The guys that are clearly ready for the next level could come in the league and those that need more seasoning can play college ball.

    I think Hagans biggest mistake was leaving college too early. I think he improved dramatically, especially defensively, but never was able to shoot consistently. Another year or two with Calipari could have done wonders for his game. It may have advanced his maturity as well. I think Ashton still has a chance, but really needs to work hard on his shooting. No NBA team wants a point guard that cannot shoot.

Look at Brandon Boston, his last game in the sec tourney he scored 0 once again, yet still declared for the nba draft which I thought was a smart move because another horrible year he would have been totally off the radar with the scouts. Guys like Hagans are not humble and unappreciative for these types of opportunities and feel that the world revolves around them because they were once coveted as top nba future players. So with an afflux of players the chances are very dismal and with bad rap and marginal nba talent no team want a guy like him when you have tons more coming every year.

      @@landofthedreadheads8901 I feel him, but what happens if he goes undrafted and in a year he's overseas or something, when he could've stayed, get better and make more money long term. I never really liked his game though. Has that Shareef O'Neal softness to him as far as motor and mental toughness. And he's not ready skills wise. Bad move for me. Good luck to him though. Number #2 -Hagans should’ve went to UGA over UK. 😂😂 The narrator never watched Hagans play at UK obviously. He was given every opportunity to succeed to the detriment of the team I believe. Hagans didn’t have a jumper but he still beat his man off the dribble almost at will, but couldn’t finish at the rim. He was a turnover machine. I attended the Elite 8 game in 19 vs Auburn and I counted 8 Hagans turnovers. Cost us a Final 4 IMO. Please don’t compare Quade friggin Green to Trae Young! 🙄🙄😂😂

    • @stuntedgrowth
      @stuntedgrowth  3 роки тому

      Nothing you said made sense. Everything you mentioned could’ve been easier at a lower expectation level like UGA. Him there as the featured player instead of sharing the light with 3 highly touted guards 100% of the time not to mention other players that made the league didn't give him opportunity, even though like you said, he had opportunity. 35min featured vs 35 min with 4-5 other NBA prospects makes a lot of difference. And no one compared Green to Young trust me. I said he was compared to young. Meaning evaluators did that when he was in high school. I never thought he was that good at all. Did a vid on him too. Never was a fan of his game.

Didn't cal recruit other guards to take his place? Those two was lucky(I'm actually happy for them) but do your research on the high profile (point) guards that went there and look where they are at now.
