      Yeah. Don’t get me wrong the new scoring hybrids are an upgrade, but the perfect blend of playground flavor with big time play creation gets lost when hybrids are just too athletic to need the inbetween game.
      Hybrids today either rain down from 30 ft or drive hard for the kickout/rim finish. Kyrie and CP3 are really the only guys that can kill you at half speed just as easy as full speed

    Tinsley clearly had some flaws as a player and person. But to go from high school dropout and JUCO to an 11 year NBA career is still pretty remarkable. I can't call him stunted.

    • @tradingpost431
      @tradingpost431 Рік тому +6

      Nah he’s stunted because he had the potential to be much more than that. He should’ve been a top 5 pick and perennial all star. He had that kind of talent. But his personality and behavioral issues kept him from reaching his full potential. Someone with less talent but the same issues wouldn’t have even made it to the league.

      @@tradingpost431 I disagree with the top 5 pick theory. He lacked above average athleticism and strength. Every time he went against a top elite PG in his age group. He constantly got owned. If he was suppose to he a top 5 pick that should have never happened.
      He reached his ceiling I think. A solid starting PG that with the right team could have been a contender. Like a Mark Jackson or Jason Williams.

    I don't know much about JAMAAL TINSLEY. I remember him playing in Rucker Park and in da league. We love glorify how hood, how street , and how ghetto we are. What people fail to realize about that mentality it's a very stupid and ignorant way of thinking in life. You would get no where in life but caught in the cycle and miss your opportunity. Change your mentality change your reality. My people we got to think better in order to do better

      Excellent Comment ✌🏿 even before seeing this video today... had many memories of JT time in Nap that caused me remorse... "us"... the element he found comfort in... failed him.

    Great Breakdown on how #s can be deceiving and Jamal Tinsley stunted growth and he was a growth spurt in some ways too before the injuries.Eventho he didn't have a jumper he was as pure as a point guard can get in the early 2000s.If Tinsley could shoot better it would have reduced his turnovers more and created wider passing lanes

    In a 82 game season what's a good number of games to play? That wears and tears on your body very differently especially when you training, playing, and competing at the highest level

    I say this about most NYC point guards. They’re all nice with the rock and can get to the hole but can’t shoot. Tinsley, Kenny Anderson, Bassy, Shamgod, Rod Strickland, Mark Jackson. Only exceptions Steph and Rafer Alston
