Your video about "How to take buses in Taiwan" led me here! I just wanted to say, whatever you're doing in life and whatever has happened in the past, they all form part of your unique journey. It’s never really about the timing of events - not even the "I should have handled this sooner" or "maybe later would have been better" moments. As imperfect humans, we all have our share of "running away," making "wrong" decisions, or "mistakes." These are natural parts of who we really are, though we often struggle to accept them (which is also fine and very human). What I’m trying to say is, live and let live. Whether we're doing well or not, it's all part of the normal ebb and flow of life. That’s just how life is. So THANK YOU for "running away", otherwise I wouldn't have found your "How to take buses in Taiwan" video to help me with my travel!🤣 If anything, we should just focus on staying true to what it means to be human-embracing our imperfections in every way. Life is full of ups and downs that shape who we are and they are all part of the journey. Instead of expecting ourselves and others not to fall short, we should recognise that it's okay to stumble, to make mistakes, and to grow from them. That's what being human is all about-accepting ourselves and others, flaws and all, and continuing to move forward with compassion for ourselves and others as well. 🤍
You cried and you made me cry 💔 sending you bear hugs. AND no goodbye…. It’s see you when I see you.💖 you are far from arrogant. You’re the most sweetest soul. They’re probably jealous of the light in you. People suck. Keep on shining ❤
Thank you for your honesty! Change is the only constant factor in life so please do not feel obligated to maintain who you were. Also, we all are running away from something in life, not just you. For example, surfing the web and watching UA-cam videos are activities that I do to run away from my own mind. Hope you have a great beginning to a new journey!!
Thanks for sharing your story Pat. I’ll always remember when i met you in jeju. I only had a couple videos up and you inspired me push forward. That UA-cam travel life ain’t easy and your montage at the end even choked me up. I hope your future brings you more happiness and good luck.
Thank you for sharing this video. I feel like getting on a plane every single day and trying so hard to find ‘home’ at ‘home’ and learn how to stand still. Wishing you the best.
Patrick that was excellent. Thank you for sharing and for being so open. It sounds like you’re enjoying this stage of your life! Life’s about changing and growing and learning and experiencing. You’re very blessed to have enjoyed being a traveling UA-camr. I’m very happy for you and wish you the best. I really appreciate knowing how you’re doing. I’ll be keeping up with you on Instagram! Much love ❤️
Oof this really hits home coming across as ditzy in social situations and then getting anxious I am coming across the wrong way in the expat communities
Life’s in stages. I travelled from 19 to 26. Traveled through 15 different countries. Hit 26 and said…I want a home. No park benches, hostels, or couches. It’s that simple
Hi Patrick! I am Paul I don't know if you will remember me but I met you on a random, mundane morning in a small guesthouse near BGC in Manila a few years back. I want you to know that some of your adventures as Patmax especially in Central Asia, helped fuel my imagination and my desire to see more of the world. Life is a continuous journey with changing phases. Sometimes, we also got dreams that we eventually outgrow too. Follow yours. You had a beautiful run and you can only be proud of how far you've come Wishing you all the best on your next life journeys! - The Wandering Kid
Nice to see you again Pat! Your Filipino fans misses you!!! Pls go back to the Philippines! things are so much different now compared when you were here during the pandemic.
Hi Pat 😘 I kid you not, I was thinking about you just recently and wondering where you are? Also how you’re doing? All of a sudden here you are 😍 It’s wonderful to see and hear from you. Nice throw back of your travels 💙 What a stunning sunset! Where was it? God bless and take care 🙏
It was off Malapascua island in the Philippines. It’s actually not a sunset, but a sunrise. Was going out for an early dive that day. Great to end the video sailing into the sunrise 😊
Hi Patrick, Please don't feel sorry for speaking the truth. It's common for people to run away from problems instead of dealing with issues like mental health, depression, addiction, and anxiety. However, doing the inner work is essential because external things cannot fix internal issues. No amount of traveling, relationships, money, or material possessions will solve these issues. I strongly suggest looking into psychedelic therapy (you can thank me later). Sending you love from Pakistan. Cheers
Don't be sad. There may be more to come. Put effort into your relationships where you are. Best wishes for your business. I agree with you completely that travel may be running from one's problems, but also that this is sometimes good. Some wisdom there! I, on the other hand, am stuck in frigid Indiana. I want to travel but I can only do it rarely. In the United States, I wish to live in a warmer climate, like where I grew up. Like Paul, I want to travel the world on a mission. I know I will. The money will come. I know. God has a place for me here, and there. It won't be all fun because I'll be going to Africa and northern Canada. He knows I have to deal with reality, first, as you are doing. Live life, to the Max! 😊
Such a great channel. I discovered it when I was reading a lot about Kazakstan, and I feel your videos showed me what the country really looks like. All the best!

So nice to see and to hear you again Pat! Thanks for your words. Greetings Tom
Thank you!
I will always be a digital nomad at heart. Home is just another base to work from and I still work at a random coffee shop or lobby whenever required.
Great to see you again! I started watching your videos when you were in China. Time sure flies!!
