Thank you for being part of this! Our questions: 1) Why do you watch our channel? 2) What would you like to see more of? ► Perks of supporting us include some great discounts: patreon.com/danegerandstacey ► Want to travel full time like us? Here's everything you need: danegerandstacey.com/travel-full-time
Thanks for the list Greg, makes it easy to see your thoughts. Glad that our variety of content seems to feature a lot in your comment - we were always a bit worried that people might only like one type of style or video, but appears like maybe us doing what we love (variety) is interesting to most. I filmed some coffee shop sweets yesterday, just one clip though, promise :P
Honestly why I watch is because, much like you, it gives me a lot of insight on locations I'll be going to with my partner. Plus it always helps that you two are funny and great together. Personality and happiness definitely has me thirsty for more videos! (Don't over-stress yourselves though!). As for what do I want to see more of, honestly keep going on this track you guys are doing. I've watched every single video so far and I've pointed a lot of my friends and family to your channel among others like Chris the Freelancer and PsychoTraveller for an idea of what life will be like for me coming September! Seriously guys, absolutely love your content. Now that Chris won't be doing much travel vlogs and the such anymore, it's just you guys and Ali that I watch literally on a daily basis (different videos multiple times). Keep up the good work!!
Kevin - your support is huge, we're so happy to hear you've shared our channel with some friends, thanks for that!! We loved reading your comment - glad that our happiness comes across, we genuinely are so blessed with our lifes and pleased to be able to share it with you guys. Heres to many more vlogs to come!
I watch you guys coz I just love how genuine you are in a world of fake travel!! You have good chemistry and it's edited so well. Can't even think of what I wanna see more of coz you guys are smashin it as you are!
We watch because you guys are a unique couple. We can definitely tell you guys respect each other, body language, and plus your transparent real people. It's like you film a way we can visualize ourselves doing it too. But, mostly it's because of you two together. A love story.... -Moniec
The reason why I watch all your videos is because of Stacy, the spotlight is always on her whit her lovely giggle and beautiful smile.... Love all your videos.....
Why do I watch? - escapism. You give me a small travel fix with each vlog. Why your channel specifically? - you come across as relaxed, authentic and honest. The vlogs are interesting, very well made and easy viewing. The drone footage is always a treat. What would I like to see more of? - just keep doing what you are doing. I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming Oz and NZ footage (especially if you can squeeze in a wine tour!) Less of? - Dane's cap on backwards look ;)
We definitely need to get that drone up more often Phil!! Haha, the backwards hat probably won't go anywhere fast, but your opinion has been noted 😂 Happy to hear we come across as authentic and honest - that means a lot!
I know this is a few years later, but I came across your channel through your (at the time of writing this) current 2020 NZ road trip series and have grown to love your laid-back, authentic content. I've grown to love and appreciate NZ immensely and am itching to make my way back to the islands. I have found your van life series so accurate to what it's actually like to road trip around the country, I myself completed a two month stretch in the South and North Islands in a converted bus last year! Thank you for all the effort you have put into your videos and for highlighting the beauty that our own backyards can offer. Stay safe and I eagerly wait for your next upload.
Oh how awesome - thanks for spotting this vid and leaving a comment! We're always stoked when what we make comes across as genuine and realistic, we're personally not fans of this 'over the top personality acting' kind of approach to content on here - we do our best to keep it real :)
I don't know how I stumbled across your channel, but I do know that I really enjoy watching your videos. Having taken early retirement, I am planning on doing some travelling now. Maybe it was fate then that brought your channel to me ?. I am in Edinburgh, and so it was even more spooky that the first video that I saw of you was the Fife, Irn-Bru one !. I think that I'll try to make a ring-tone out of Stacey's Scottish accent saying Irn-Bru. You two are so relaxed, and are such nice people. Tears ran down my face when I saw the video of your marriage proposal. Your videos are made to a really high quality, and you have the format of the content cracked. Just keep on doing what you do !. Angus.
Hey Angus - what an amazing comment to wake up to, thanks for making our day! Glad you enjoyed our Scotland vids and then decided to watch a few more, even the emotional ones - hopefully we have come right at the perfect time to show you some amazing places you can visit as well ❤️
As a Kiwi who also loves to travel I watch your channel more than others because you're real. Some other travel vloggers come across as fake posers. Keep it up!
I watch you because Im moving to Chiang Mai to be a digital nomad and Im a Kiwi ....basically I have been waiting for our house to sell for 2 years and been watching every single video I can on Digital nomads and I find you super easy to Watch because Im from Waiheke and you remind of the locals here super down to earth and Warm ....chur!
Definite thanks to you guys as well, Hi to Ubud. Nice to hear more of your story ,how you met and where you worked before UA-cam travel. We follow travellers like yourselves in place of television. More and more lately as free to air TV in Australia has become the pits and cable(Foxtel) etc are no better. Of all our subscriptions you have the best format,,,best travel VLOGS we have come across and the best host hostess package!!! You make our day with every new vlog.
Dude... we were SO stoked with this comment, thank you. Awesome feedback, these are the comments that motivate us to keep creating and dedicating time to this channel and seeing what we can make of it. Thanks for taking the time and we appreciate you guys watching! (New video in 8 hours or so!)
Ive been watching vlogs for years but what i do like about you guys is that you guys have a chill, down to earth vibe and i feel like the info you're giving out through these vlogs are honest. I feel like you guys deserve the views. One suggestion for content would be to incorporate a bit about ur work while travelling. For instance im a graphic designer as well and i can relate more if Stacey shows a bit of her work side in the vlogs. Happy vlogging and heres a happy viewer from Maldives :)
Hey Azlif - such a great comment! Always pleased to hear we come across as down to earth, that makes us happy. We do get asked a little about sharing more work stuff, but it's definitely a fine balance because some people just want to some travel to watch, completely agree with where you're coming from though. Hope to visit the Maldives one day soon!
Dane, if it makes any difference, I'm watching this video almost 3 years after you guys posted it. You never know when you post it if the views will be straight away or a lot later, like this. PS. Love watching you guys. You are both gorgeous, the content looks great, and you give such great insights into the places you travel to. Thanks for all the effort you both put in. It's not taken for granted. Keep it up!
Now watched 120+ of your videos & watch just to see the two of you. Best couple on UA-cam. Easy going, respectful, great content, keeping it real... I could go on but you get the idea!
I Just discovered your channel somewhere after New Year, when I was looking for some references for where my next trip should be... I watched around 10 videos within 2 days and instantly liked your channel even more now after I saw the one about your *"NOMADS TRAVEL GUIDE"*... what I like about your channel : 1. the information given within the vlog, the content was quite straight on point 2. the chill vibes -- _you both are not pretentious and look happy all the time_ 3. the footage of the vlogs, especially all of those aerial view 4. the overall look, simple design, modern typography layout -- _those were something that really catch my interest/attention to go on the first click_ i think most of *the contents already good* as they are now, *keep all the great qualities* so it will attract more interests and hopefully *given more new insights/information that rather not as mainstream* from the locals... all the success for you two...
I started watching your channel because Stacey is absolutely beautiful. Period. I thought Dane was sort of a tool. But as I watched more, I started to understand your personalities and the dynamic between you. Now it's fun to watch your skills grow and your personalities shine through as you become more and more comfortable on the platform....and watching your numbers blow up has been really cool. You were just at 7k a few months ago. You guys are pretty metal. I'll be leaving the U.S. to travel full time at the end of the year. Hope to see you around the globe somewhere and buy you a beer.
Why do I watch your channel? 1) Great footages (whether up close or via drone), 2) Very informative, 3) Your personal opinions (they help a lot), and 4) Music choice (very appropriate for the scenes). Additional things needed? None. Keep well and safe, you two. :)
The reason I subscribed to you guys because I find it interesting, I watch UA-cam a lot and when I find something interesting or worth following, I subscribed and you're one of them. I know blogging is not easy and I appreciate it very much for those people taking the time uploading their experience to this site.
Found your vids while researching Mae Sai loop, since then have watched everything on Thailand and a few random vids, including obviously this one, and to answer your question, what I like is your lack of pretentiousness, focus on the subject (with the occasional artist camera work), sunny outlook and respect for the locals.
Loved this one - stoked to hear that we dont come across as pretentious. We know exactly how some YT'ers come across and we really (like reallllly) don't want to be that way because in person we're not. Its a fine line to walk though, when you have a camera in your own face and talking about stuff, so its always nice to hear someone thinks we're not d!ckheads. Thanks~!
1. I love watching your channel because I like how chill the both of you are. I am a chill person too, so I feel I can pretty much relate with the stuff you're doing. I love food and beer. I love travelling. Your content is nothing but good vibes. No dramas, no pretensions, no putting on airs, just passion for travelling and vlogging. 😀 2. Just continue what you're doing. Travelling will never get boring. I will never get tired of watching your craft for as long as you're having fun. 😁
i have recently found your channel while researching my own travels and found it very relevant. Not necessarily because I am planning to go to the same places but because you guys have similar mentality and are not showing off on camera like a lot of other "vloggers" do. Also, your videos are very professionally made and you are natural on camera and you discuss subjects that are actually helpful if you plan on going travelling. Basically, nice to look at, relevant and on point. Keep going! Get in touch if you fancy some company when in London :)
Hey Giedre - thanks for the comment! Cool to hear we've got the same sort of mentality and that we're not showwy haha, we know exactly what you mean and are really glad we don't come across that way!!
Hi ,there is something you have and it is real and honest. I am much older than you guys, I enjoy your videos, getting so much out of them. I am looking at ways of being a nomad at my age, I feel I can do it time will tell. I will be targeting the older group but I not that old that I am out of touch with the younger groups and reality as I am fit in mind and body. Any way going on a bit. Just happy I came in touch with you guys you have put me in a great place. Thankyou
Ive been watching a couple of your Bali videos as I wanna live there part time in the future and then I got addicted and can't stop watching more! You guys have a very relaxed vibe, no fluff, honest and give great info. And just all the relevant stuff for travelers. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see more. X
I guess I started watching your channel because you were in Chiangmai. My wife and I have been coming here since 2011. We are in our 60’s but find all your videos relatable. You guys keep going to our favorite places. You lived in our neighborhood in CM, and then Penang, Hoian and now Ubud. All places we loved. BTW, your channel is the only vlog my wife will watch. She thinks all the others are pretentious and really annoying. I’m sure a lot of your subs are older, like us. I hope your families are as happy for you as we are. Keep up the good work. Travel safe, have fun.
Interesting insights, thanks Norm! Sort of secretly really proud that we're the only channel your wife will watch, happy wife is a happy life, so I guess we all win!!
I started watching for the travel content and stayed because of the awesome chemistry you two have. It also helps you are kiwis and it gives me a connection to home.
Honestly I love your Videos. Never seen a bad one yet. Found your Videos by mistake when you were in Poland. Then started watching from the oldest. This is where I am on your channel. You're the first travel vloggers I watched.
Haha, So I first started watching you guys because you kept popping up when I was researching my travel plans on youtube and I find it hard to find vloggers who aren't boring, who don't ramble, who provide content that is relevant and relatable and I suppose it helps you're both good looking he he. Keep up the good werk. xx Carly
Carly - this is hilarious and awesome all in one, we love it! Glad that UA-cam decided to spam you with our faces and even more glad you clicked to see if we were annoying... thankfully we arent/werent yet 🤣 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I stumbled across you guys while I was looking at other travel vlogs :) I was trying (and still am) to come up with a short list of possible Asian destinations to visit, with a view to spending 3 months or so in one place each year once we fully retire. We suffer through a cold winter where we live and want to find a warmer place to escape to for those cooler months. Your honest and open style captured me instantly :)
Thats so cool to hear, Susan! Have you come up with any options? Hopefully we've helped. At this point we would recommend Thailand/Chiang Mai and/or Indo/Bali - the Philippines would be high on the list but we didnt really find that perfect spot :)
The short list at present is Penang & somewhere in Thailand :) We loved Thailand in particular, but we are off to Bali soon to have a look see, so maybe that will be added to our possibiles too !!
It is SO insane that this video was only a year and a half ago and your subscriber count has grown 5 times! 😮😮😮 I've been loving your videos for a while, but missed this one! Your question: I watch you guys because you are super natural and geniune travel vloggers. I love how you are history fanatics and really care about getting to know the places you visit. You have great vibes and those smiles are addictive! Keep doing what you are doing! Incredible inspiration for little old me, just launching my channel 😂 - Currently living in your beautiful native NZ and am working around the world with my husband! We kept our day jobs though, not quite tech savvy enough to work online yet! Take care ❤
If only UA-cam has a heart/love button for this video ❤️I started watching your videos before you guys began traveling full time, since then I can see how much you've put into this channel. I love that your videos seem very genuine and honest when it comes to your personalities, reactions, and overall the content is relaxing and pleasing to watch - it's like we're there with you guys as you're traveling and recording all this. As for what I would like to see more of, I think as long as you guys are producing content you're passionate about I'll continue to tune in. Don't be afraid to experiment new things, it is your channel and I love seeing you guys grow. Cheers!
We wish there was a heart button as well haha. Thanks for this comment - we appreciate that you've been around for a long time now supporting us! Always stoked to hear that watching us feels like you're part of the experience!
I recently stumble upon your channel and now Im a big fan because of the content and in depth review of each places you’ve been to. It’s something i haven’t seen from other vloggers. Cheers on your engagement!👏💐💍. God bless🙏
We love hearing what people think makes us a bit different, everyone has their own style and it's cool to discover what others see in us! Thanks for taking the time Diane!
I like most your interaction with each other. Second would be the prices of places knowing your budget for a place. Love seeing the prices tagged for airbnb's or food or rentals that kinda stuff. The day in the life video was super cool and I would for sure love to see that in each place that you stay at least a month. Even when you go back home would be cool to see your side of "locals only" or places to go see and eat that are more specific to being from a place. Take care you two keep living the Dream.
Thanks for the feedback! That day in the life video was a hit, so we'll be doing the same thing in each place - have one lined up for Bali already :) Appreciate your awesome comment, thank you
Hey Richa - stoked that we could help you plan out some stuff to do in Hoi An, hope you had an amazing time. Thanks for letting us be your first comment ever :)
I just found you guys today and love the channel! Im in somewhat of a similar position as you both were before you started traveling. I do digital marketing for an agency, hoping they’ll let me work remotely while I travel and earn my own money as well. Im so glad to see there are others like you who have done this and successfully. Thank you for the videos they’re so helpful and inspiring!
Thats awesome to hear Dan - hopefully you can go remote and keep the job, definitely the easiest way to transition for sure. Our book on How To Travel Full Time will be perfect for covering everything you need to know, regardless of if you get the remote work or not, if you haven't signed up for the wait list it could be worth while :) www.danegerandstacey.com
My husband and I love watching you guys! We love yr style, completely natural and professional. We are avid travellers and have spent time in Chiang Mai too and wish to return. Keep doing wht you do, I love that it isn't always abt the money or the price or how cheap things are wch a lot of other vloggers get stuck on. Best of luck to you bth. xx
Thanks Annabelle! Glad to hear it doesnt just feel like things are about price, we like sharing that stuff, but not dwelling on it or only talking about it.. thats boring haha. Thanks to both of you for watching along with us :) Happy travels
Ty! Your content is so crisp and subject matter so refreshingly broad, but the production doesn't drown-out the practical day to day value provided. Your personalities are relatably reserved and pragmatic around other people, but your caution fades and excitement climbs when presented with adventurous experiences. 50k will be easy
I started watching when you two were in the Philippines. I watch your videos because I love traveling and secretly live vicariously through your videos. I love the chemistry you have together and your video graphical style. I hope to do the same someday soon. Cheers!
I know behind your eyes you don't see it but we all see it that little something it starts in Stacey's smile and is reflected in Danes laughing that resonates and brightens the room the imperfections the failure the success maybe you just love each other and that's the best part.Congratulations on 20,000. Why i watch your channel as a Husband and father of 2 i like the cost of living you do as if i moved there and needed to buy stuff for the new apartment start up cost also what is there to do? All tho i would like to see local scams and traps to avoid would be helpful thx.
Super thoughtful comment, thanks James! Good news, we just filmed and edited our next cost of living video from CM, will be up next week for you. Good thoughts re the traps and scams etc!
Go to Edinburgh when you're in the U.K., you won't regret it and it's the most beautiful city. I have lived here for 5 years and can give you some cool places to go !
I'm an obstetric anesthesiologist. And when I was labor watching, I was browsing You Tube where I happen to stumble upon your VLOG about your travel experiences in my country Philippines. 1 VLOG to another. ... not knowing that I was watching you guys the whole afternoon. For one thing, it was not boring. The videography and music were superb. Everywhere you go, you made me feel that I was also there! I also enjoy the drone shots. Your narration and conversation with Stacey were natural. The content and insights were relevant and full of depth. Next time you're here in the Philippines, go to the following places: Sagada (where you will experience sea of clouds at Kiltepan peak), Baguio our summer capital, Batanes (the Ireland of the Philippines..it also has Honesty Store...jail population is zero, and it's a photographers' haven) and Siargao (the 8th Surfing Capital of the World). I look forward also for your review on Seoul Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
Your comments just keep getting better, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We really appreciate the feedback and recommendations! We've been to Taiwan already, so have a playlist on that, but South Korea and Japan are still on the list.
I only found your channel about a week ago but have been soaking up a ridiculous amount of videos! I watch you because I really enjoy your vlogging style and am genuinely interested in what you guys are doing on your travels. I'm also planning to go remote in the next year with my boyfriend so find your channel pretty applicable haha- will definitely be buying the book! As for what I wanna see more of; its just exactly what you've been doing so far! Tips for the places you go to (like where to visit, eat etc.) are really helpful and I actually really enjoy your "day in the life" videos and cost of living stuff! Just everything really :D
Hey Hannah - we're stoked you've had a bit of a binge back over our vids, thanks so much. Glad we're able to help you, we genuinely try and at the very least like to include costs so people can do some research and learn what they need to know in advance. As you said, our book will help you immensely and answer so many questions you have. Either way, we appreciate your support :)
Kinda quick, without selling out - yeah haha. Still, it took traveling the world for another year and a bit and producing another 175 vlogs that each take 5-20 hours to film edit and produce. No complaints, but its a fucken graft man. Congrats on 10k coming for you.
@@DanegerAndStacey Thanks buddy! I made about 500 run-and-gun videos in Halifax, Nova Scotia and I'm ready to make some quality content like you guys. Bit of a risk but you two are a huge inspiration.
Hey from Australia! I started watching your videos as research/inspiration for my own trip which my boyfriend and I will be doing at the end of this year! We can totally relate to you guys except that our drink of choice is cider, not beer! (Hope we can find some throughout Asia) I love watching your videos because you have such a real chemistry with each other and you bring a very natural presence to all your videos (and they're really informative)! Keen to see some more of your travel and food vlogs! Also, I totally thought Daneger had some awesome parents for giving him that name but I was wrong!
Hey Emma! Exciting to hear you guys have a trip coming up but sad to say that you're going to struggle to find cider! And when you do, be willing to spend 2-3x the price of local beers. That aside, you'll love your trip haha. thanks for the kind words as well, we really appreciate it :)
i honestly like your channel guys because you are living the life. There's no rush and pressure, just chill and be connected with the place. Keep it coming.
You’re both so lovely and so in love...that’s why I watch. Your content is also good and your light approach is relaxing. You’re both genuine travelers and nothing seems forced. Other vlogs I also enjoy are of people who have yet to admit to themselves that they should be doing something else but just don’t know what...and that’s understandable. Stay safe and stay well.
I mentioned you guys in my February Favorites video but this video made me love you guys even more! You guys are so smart, raw and chill. Keep grinding and keep 'em coming
Just watched, liked and subscribed 🤘🏼Thanks for the love, that was actually really heart warming to hear someone talk about us, glad our vids have been helpful. Anyone wanting to watch the vid, check it out and be sure to show some love: ua-cam.com/video/qQJiaglln-s/v-deo.htmlm16s
Hey guys, I have recently just subscribed to your channel and wow, thank goodness for that. I don't think you guys realize how much of an inspiration this is to people like myself, a 22-year-old. It's brilliant and fresh that you guys show yourself together and as a couple and prove that traveling and being on the move all the time can be done not just with friends or individually. I feel like I have just started watching you guys and already feel invested and apart from the little community you guys are creating. My girlfriend and I have always planned to travel and live our lives but have never really known how to do it. But i graduate from university this summer so hopefully, everything falls into place. Again, thank you for the content wow wow wow.
Hey mate - thanks for commenting here as well as Insta! This is so awesome for us to read, we're stoked that what we're doing can inspire you to do more yourself as well. We're not into sales pitches, but our book will literally open your eyes to an entire new world you can have ( www.danegerandstacey.com if you haven't signed up yet). Thanks for being part of our journey!
I think you two are the boomdigity! I remember stumbling across ur channel while I was watching vlogs and planning for my Thailand trip mid last year. Ever since then I've always enjoyed checking in and seeing what you guys get up to. You are both so chilled out and relaxed. Sometimes other travel vloggers seem to 'overhype' or build up their experiences but you guys are pretty open and honest with how things really are. Your content is spot on . Keep up the awesome work guys! Arohanui ✌
Damn Shiloh, such a nice comment! Hope we helped with your planning and we're super glad you've enjoyed checking in to watch the adventures continue. Thanks for commenting and letting us know.
Hi guys! Absolutely love your channel! The reason I watch your channel is because someday I want to do what you guys are doing. I love your way of travelling where you stay somewhere for a longer duration and really take in the culture as apposed to going somewhere for like 5 days. You guys are also really bubbly and I genuinely just enjoy watching your videos, I could do it for hours! Currently, I’m studying computer science at university In England and I plan to use my skills to become a online web developer/software engineer so that I can be nomadic and travel the world! Looking forward to more videos from you guys! 😁😁
Thanks Khalid - stoked your putting in the hard yards now to get the skills to live a life of travel. Thats the way! Thanks for this comment as well, massively appreciate you watching and taking the time to send us some good vibes.
Why do I watch you? This is my first week. I will be living permanently in Warsaw.. And I’ve never been to Europe. And Dane’s financial analysis of staying in Krakow for one month, in a air bnb showed me the true cost of living in Poland. Thank you, Dane Why do I watch? You both look awesome in your shades! Lol!😎
So interesting to hear and get to know you guys more, because when you get more personal and open it really does feel like we are travelling togheter with you. I also guess that's my answer to your Q. I watch your videos when I want to relax or do a "fast travelling session" from home. :)
Hey guys! I've only just discovered you both on youtube this week, and wish id known about you guys earlier. My husband and I are from NZ, Napier, and have been living in Australia for the past 5 years. We've done a fair bit of travelling, and are currently trying to plan Northern Thailand, Laos and Vietnam before indefinitely moving back to NZ to settle down. I love watching your channel because it addictive to live off other peoples good times, if that makes sense. You provide good content, in good sized videos! Cannot wait to watch more :)
Hey Chelsea - late to the party, but we're glad you found us! Sounds like youve got an epic trip planned, those 3 spots are all so amazing and different in there own way, you guys will love it. Thanks for the lovely comments as well, really means a lot to us.
It's probably your friendly and happy faces, the way you talk to the camera matters too. I love travel channels by Mark Wiens, Mikey Chen's Strictly Dumpling and The Food Ranger, probably coz of their friendly, humble, honest relatable faces too. :D I'd love more food videos... Weird local food would be great! Keep up the good work! Greetings from Penang, Malaysia.
20K Wow you guys that's a huge amount of SUBS !!.you guys SKYROCKETED so quickly!!. Congratulations!! Gotta get the extra Push for the SILVER PLAY BUTTON!! All the way up guys!!. You got this! 👌👏💪💪
You two inspired me to join the UA-cam community, and build up to the dream of following in your travel footsteps. Keep up the incredible content. Thanks a million!!
I stumbled across your channel months ago now and have basically binge watched to catch up and really look forward to your new episodes coming out. I like seeing fellow kiwis out there, especially traveling in SEA where I hope to travel with my family very soon. There's a great quality to your videos, you come across with all the "need to knows" of the places you visit in a genuine, fun and informative way. I've learnt lots of tips from you guys and just really enjoy watching you guys adventure around. Also my kids (7 and 9 years old) love watching too, you've opened their minds about traveling and got them excited about being world schooled and traveling full time ;) Keep it up guys, NZ is a great place to come back to and retire but there's plenty of time for adventuring till then!
Hey Renee - haha we loved hearing that your kids were into watching. Probably our fav bit of your comment is that it's also opened their eyes to travel and a different way of life, wow! Thanks for watching and being part of this.
I love watching your videos because you are honest about your reviews. You don't commend ALL food you tasted instead you really give feedback about the experience - like if it has bad taste not its price-y for its taste. I like how you put prices on the food you try and a separate video on the expenses you incurred for a certain trip. You are also very honest about the places you visit - whether its worth the money or if its a tourist trap. I would like you to feature must-try foods in the countries you visit - especially coffee! And feature some non-touristy spots, hipster, unique (food or experience) in these places. :) Also feature some travel itinerary that we can copy if we plan to travel just like you.
Thanks for this Clyde - amazing feedback for us! We probably should feature more food actually, but we like being natural and honest and food is one of those things we know other vloggers do (because theres a market for it) and they act so crazy over the top. We sort of feel like its a fine line to walk and its not as natural for us.. in saying that, food is part of travel and we will always try and show some more!
Always stoked to have some Kiwis following us (not many do), especially other Kiwi UA-camrs! Glad you found us. We checked out your channel trailer, love what you're doing - keep killing it.
Big up for answering all my questions ha, love to stir it up. Great response to all of them made my laugh a few times. To let you know why I watch is for both your personalities and humour, although we've never met, your both so sound and your definitely the kind of people I could knock a cold one back with haha. In all fairness though, I see how much effort you put into it especially being so interactive with your audience, I think I started watching back in May but i've literally never missed a video which shows something!
Haha yeah you got a couple in there mate - Patreon benefits! Glad you got a few laughs, we had fun filming this actually. Stoked that the effort is noticed, for so long on this adventure we've felt like the reward wasn't as much as the time and effort in - but lately the tables are turning and we've got an awesome feeling about where things are heading. Thanks for being part of not just this, but our Patreon team. Hope we can cross paths in London for that cold three.
I think you guys are amazing! So natural, spontaneous, Stacy is so cute! Genuine girl. You two make a great couple! I just started watching your videos looking for more info on Bali/ Indonesia because I want to do it by myself(solo Traveler). I also love the fact that you say everything like it is the good, the bad, cost, and so much vital and important information. I wish you lots of more traveling and much success!!!🥰
Oh wow! Chris the Freelancer watches your videos too. The travel community is small! When I get my stuff together, I'll be sure to support you guys on Patreon.
I just stumbled on your channel from Instagram! From the rave reviews I'm seeing in these comments I can't wait to check out your travel vlogs. - New fan
I like getting inspiration and information from your videos because I plan to join the lifestyle soon! I like day in the life videos, just generally seeing what you guys do in a day, both travel days and regular days with prices! Love your channel!
So glad I found your youtube channel. 1) watch you because my hubby and I have been thinking of doing the same as you both 2) love the day in the life videos with cost breakdown. I have one question for you though: did you get sick initially from eating the street foods in asia?
Glad you guys found our channel! Thanks for taking the time to comment :) We've been fine with the food, depends how hard you go how quickly - if you launch into 3 meals a day off the street your risking it. But a few local spots, some cafes, the odd market and you'll be sweet.
Great Q&A video guys! My husband & I started watching you when we were researching our trips to Thailand & Vietnam. We do short trips to places due to having to work & pay bills but you have really given us the travel bug & can’t wait for your ebook! Love your videos as you do have a mix of activities/food/pricing & you try to live the local life! Can’t find many vloggers that do this. Keep going with what your doing!
Thanks Natalie - hope we were able to share some insights for your trips! We'll keep doing what we're doing and mixing up the content to keep things fresh, thanks for taking the time to comment!
You guys are too beautiful to watch! I'm loving the cost of living and day in the life videos! So real! And your videos are super clear! thank you for being amazing and for sharing your experience! Thank you for saying you like the Philippines and yes you really have to choose the best cities to get the best wifi connection. I am from the Philippines and I even had to use your Boracay recommendations! Thank you so much for that! I missed you guys in Chiang Mai! And so I am hoping to meet you on the road! Hopefully in South America, if you're planning to go there! Looking forward to future videos traveling with your kiddos! that'll be fun! ;)
Thanks Janet! Really lovely to hear you're loving our vids and thanks for the feedback on the ones you like the most. South America is most definitely on the list :)
What a beautiful life and love you guys have! You're both so blessed to have each other and travel the world. I like the quality of your content and your smiling faces! So inspiring. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Looking forward to the next vlog!
Awww thanks! We're always smiling, the vlogs probably only capture a small percentage of it haha. Thanks for being here with us and following along for so long!
I watch because I'm interested in visiting SE Asia. I enjoy your laid back attitudes and I like how you put the costs of your day on the screen so we can get an idea of how affordable it is to travel in those areas. Also, your videos seem very honest and not staged. Also, I love how you describe the content. Sometimes, I feel that other vloggers use the same terminology over and over.
We try not use the same terminology, but definitely catch our self saying some of the same stuff - oh well, we're human haha. Thanks for the amazing comment Jessica!
I initially started watching your videos about Thailand when I was researching the digital nomad lifestyle and then came across your videos. I really enjoy your relaxed style of vlogging and also how informative it is. Your videos give me a good idea of what to expect when travelling to those countries/cities. I would love to see more videos of what your working day is like and also possibly how you keep fit while travelling. Keep it up guys!
Stoked, thanks Leroy, appreciate your insight. Fitness is one we havent tackled in a while, will possibly do a video on that at some stage again, definitely easier when we're in a 'settled phase' like Chiang Mai. Speaking of CM, just filmed our up to date cost of living video, out next week.
Why I found your channel? I looked for videos about Thailand because I am in Chiang Mai every year for Songkran. In your video about the Ta Pae gate I felt home immediately, saw my favourite hotel, even my every-year rental car was there
Love when we can show someone some nostalgia or show something before they get there, then they arrive and it feels familiar. Thats so cool. Thanks for watching and commenting! Germany plan is only Berlin so far, but hope we can spend a bit more time traveling later on!
Howdy! I stumbled on your channel recently as I'm about to travel 2 months in SE Asia! 1) Like y'all I'm using vlogs to get a good idea of the places I'm about to see and get a sense of what I want to do while I'm there. I've followed several vloggers but you two are my favorite because you're both down to earth good humored people who respect the culture of the places you go and try to make the best of each experience while still giving honest feedback. 2) Keep the corny jokes coming :) I like that you have some cool cinematography yet don't over-do it like some other vloggers that rush around trying to get "perfect sunsets" while losing out on the more intimate/descriptive focus that is your strong suit. That being said, having a bit more drone footage to set the scene would be nice. Minor critique though, I love what you guys are doing! Keep smiling and I hope to fist bump you both one day :)
Hey Charlie - what an awesome comment, thanks! This was actually really interesting re the chasing the sunset type style and the corny jokes, great feedback. We know what you mean about the obsession some people show with making the story about trying to get footage for the story, like WTH value does that add? Haha. Hope to accept that fist bump and give one in return in the future. Thanks man.
1. I watch because I’m currently travelling SEA and like to see what you guys get up to and watch your travelling experience! 2. I’m happy with your content as it is! Love your videos guys! :)
Congrats 20,432 ...wow.I watch coz u are kiwi's like me lol .Don't change anything just keep it real which you guys do anyway. A lot of people vlog same stuff but you guys move around and mix it up.Living the dream for a lot of us.
The Kiwi connection here is growing, still only 1.7% of our followers are from lil ol NZ actually! No one really knows about us, you're part of the exclusive clyb haha. Thanks for following along, we always gonna just keep it real.
Why do we watch your channel? We stumbled across you while we were researching Hoi An as a place to live last year. We already had a dream of travelling south east Asia making videos of our adventures as we went and your videos were you already doing what we wanted to do! We kept watching because of the way you mix your personalities in with some incredible footage. Your editing skills are top notch ;) As far as what we want to see more of? Keep doing what you're doing. You have a formula that works really well and engages your audience for the full video which isn't an easy thing to do.
Really stoked to hear we could help with your Hoi An research! What an awesome place. Glad to hear we kept you interested even after the research was done. We'll keep doing what we're doing and hope that everyone keeps digging it - thanks guys! Happy travels
Why do we watch your channel?? We started following you when you were in Vietnam as you were producing content that suited our needs at the time. We continue to follow you both because you're fellow Kiwis (gotta stick together being from such a small place in the world) and you're producing such awesome content that has given us insights to places we never even imagined of going to. We love that you reply back to everyone personally and we now feel like we know you really well (fraaaaands) keep up the awesome work team!!! Never feel like it's a job because we are always going to be interested in what you two get up to. Love the music, cinematography, drone footage etc. You're both laid back and chill af which makes watching so much better. You provide good information too and loving the wee bloopers you sometimes show. Always keen to see cost of living vlogs wherever you go. 💯 from you guys and here's a 🏆 because you two ☄ deserve it! Thanks for sharing your lives with us 🤗 x Oh and thaaaanks for the wee shout out 💕
Thanks Keri! We loved reading this one, you guys have been massive in our journey as well so we thank you both for being there with us :) So glad you guys are still enjoying even after we left Hoi An! Next video is an updated Cost OL from CM and has a silly blooper at the end haha. Bali vids coming after that! You totally deserved the shout out and thanks for giving us our first trophy haha!
Daneger and Stacey ❤ happy to be a part of your journey team, thanks for allowing us to do so. Of course we wouldn't stop following after you left Hoi An, you have that thing about you both that makes people want to keep watching and wanting more and seeing where you end up next and what you get up to. Also forgot to mention that we went back and watched all of your older videos so now we all caught up to date. We wouldn't have thought about CM if it weren't for you guys so I'd like to say a massive thanks for introducing us to CM because we can't wait to try it out there for a bit. ESPECIALLY the Elephant Sanctuary and Ziplining. Excited for your Bali vids team. 😍👌 Hope you got to go to a couple of the places we mentioned. Side note: did not expect Tinder to be the way you both met 😂 but happy you have because you're both the coolest couple. 😍 We will catch YOU in the comments team 😉 and hope to catch you both for some beersies at some stage on worldly travels. 🍻
Can't believe you went back and watched the old videos, hopefully it shows how far we've come as you watched along! Have to admit that even in Bali now, we miss CM a little. Everything was just so easy, cheap and amazing - just didnt have that beach though! Glad we could share it with you guys and will be excited to hear about when you hopefully go! Hope we can all cross paths at some stage for that beer 🍺
Thank you for being part of this! Our questions: 1) Why do you watch our channel? 2) What would you like to see more of? ► Perks of supporting us include some great discounts: patreon.com/danegerandstacey ► Want to travel full time like us? Here's everything you need: danegerandstacey.com/travel-full-time
Haha I agree - she's much prettier :P
Can't wait for your Philippine adventure for the 3rd time? There's a lot more to explore!
Thanks Charlie! Stoked to hear this, even more stoked you still think that after meeting us as well ✌🏼 Hope you're well!
We watch because you guys are a unique couple. We can definitely tell you guys respect each other, body language, and plus your transparent real people. It's like you film a way we can visualize ourselves doing it too. But, mostly it's because of you two together. A love story.... -Moniec
So sweet, thank you! We don't ever try to be anything we're not, just showing what the real stuff is like - so its nice to know that's noticed :)
I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming Oz and NZ footage (especially if you can squeeze in a wine tour!)
Less of?
You two are good people. Awesome together. I wish you many more subscribers, sponsors, travels and videos!
Hey Hoosh - Thanks so much!
Keep it up!
Thanks Laura - stoked to hear we come across as real, we're definitely just ourselves our here and not trying to be anything!
Hard core travelers always appreciated and love the genuine travelers like you.
Good luck man, hope you sell the house and can get on the road!! Thanks for watching brother, appreciate the NZ support for sure.
Definite thanks to you guys as well,
Hi to Ubud.
There's something about you two that makes me wanna watch more. I think the opening graphic of each video.
Thats cool - thanks! Enjoy the PH :)
Thanks so much Brian - that really means a lot!!
I Just discovered your channel somewhere after New Year, when I was looking for some references for where my next trip should be... I watched around 10 videos within 2 days and instantly liked your channel even more now after I saw the one about your *"NOMADS TRAVEL GUIDE"*...
what I like about your channel :
1. the information given within the vlog, the content was quite straight on point
2. the chill vibes -- _you both are not pretentious and look happy all the time_
3. the footage of the vlogs, especially all of those aerial view
4. the overall look, simple design, modern typography layout -- _those were something that really catch my interest/attention to go on the first click_
i think most of *the contents already good* as they are now, *keep all the great qualities* so it will attract more interests and hopefully *given more new insights/information that rather not as mainstream* from the locals...
all the success for you two...
Hey Dana - that’s so epic! What an awesome comment. So many compliments we can’t even respond haha. Very humbled, thank you ❤️❤️👌🏼👌🏼
I started watching your channel because Stacey is absolutely beautiful.
Ah this is so awesome!! Thanks so much. We'll keep doing what we do :)
2. Just continue what you're doing. Travelling will never get boring. I will never get tired of watching your craft for as long as you're having fun. 😁
Food, beer, chill, travel and relatable - dayum we loved hearing that! Thanks so much for sharing some insights, means a lot. We can't stop smiling.
20K is just a start guys - great vids, great personalities and fun locations - its a winning recipe - all the best!
Ayyyyy sooo kind - thanks for that :)
i have recently found your channel while researching my own travels and found it very relevant.
Thank you so much for answering my question! Great advice ☺️ can't wait to read the book! All the best for your future travels!
You're welcome Sarah! Book is done, SO SO SO excited to share it... just need the website finished to have it there haha. Alllmost.
Thankyou
This is an amazing comment to end our day, thanks so much for the positive vibes! Wishing you all the best on your nomad journey :)
That's awesome - thanks!
Haha,
So I first started watching you guys because you kept popping up when I was researching my travel plans on youtube and I find it hard to find vloggers who aren't boring, who don't ramble, who provide content that is relevant and relatable and I suppose it helps you're both good looking he he.
Keep up the good werk. xx
Carly
Take care ❤
Awww thank you so much! Lovely comment to read ❤️ Wishing you all the best in our lil NZ and with your channel as well!
@@DanegerAndStacey thank you so much! Keep on being wonderful humans and filming your adventures 😀 ❤
You have high standards, are likable and quite savvy. I appreciate your content. Love to see some tips for mature single folks on travel.
That day in the life video was a hit, so we'll be doing the same thing in each place - have one lined up for Bali already :) Appreciate your awesome comment, thank you
Hey...this is the first time I am ever commenting on a video, but your videos really helped me on my trip to Hoi An. Thank you so much!!
Gagan Singh i didn’t know working a full time job made me rich
My husband and I love watching you guys! We love yr style, completely natural and professional. We are avid travellers and have spent time in Chiang Mai too and wish to return. Keep doing wht you do, I love that it isn't always abt the money or the price or how cheap things are wch a lot of other vloggers get stuck on. Best of luck to you bth. xx
Thanks Annabelle! Glad to hear it doesnt just feel like things are about price, we like sharing that stuff, but not dwelling on it or only talking about it.. thats boring haha. Thanks to both of you for watching along with us :) Happy travels
If you haven't been to Melbourne...it is full of the best hipster content wch i think yr viewers will love....COME TO MELBOURNE!! XX hahah
We LOVE Melbourne, maybe will visit again in the future.
Ty! Your content is so crisp and subject matter so refreshingly broad, but the production doesn't drown-out the practical day to day value provided. Your personalities are relatably reserved and pragmatic around other people, but your caution fades and excitement climbs when presented with adventurous experiences. 50k will be easy
Wow, exceptional comment! Thanks for this - loved hearing that we're doing a good job on the broad subjects but keeping it relatable. Thanks so much
I started watching when you two were in the Philippines.
I watch your videos because I love traveling and secretly live vicariously through your videos.
I love the chemistry you have together and your video graphical style.
I hope to do the same someday soon.
Cheers!
Such a cool comment, thanks so much Charles! Glad you're living through us, hope you get the chance to travel more yourself as well!
You guys are awesome.
Go to Edinburgh when you're in the U.K., you won't regret it and it's the most beautiful city. I have lived here for 5 years and can give you some cool places to go !
We've only got a few days in London initially - but hoping to stop by for some more time after! Thanks for the heads up!
You guys went from 20K to nearly 100K fast! Well done!

(Hope we can find some throughout Asia)
I love watching your videos because you have such a real chemistry with each other and you bring a very natural presence to all your videos (and they're really informative)!
Thanks for keeping it real you two :)
Thanks so much for the comment and being part of our journey :)
i honestly like your channel guys because you are living the life. There's no rush and pressure, just chill and be connected with the place. Keep it coming.
Incredible comment to read, thanks for that!! So happy you're digging the vibes still :)
😭❤️
Thanks for this comment as well, massively appreciate you watching and taking the time to send us some good vibes.
love you guys and wish you so much success! You deserve it
Thanks Miri! Good to see your comments again :)
I started to watch because I will be living and interning in KL for 3 months starting in May and then I got hooked on all of your other videos!
Thanks for letting us know Grace, we're happy you found us for one purpose and stuck around to watch more. Thank you so much!
I like Stacy, she seem so down to earth.
She really is - one of the things I first loved about meeting her. So chill and relaxed.
I really like all your videos....thanks for sharing...
Yay - thanks!
When I heard that you are coming to Poland... yeeey! If u need anything just let me know :)
Thats about how excited we are!! Heard such amazing things :)
Why do I watch you?
This is my first week. I will be living permanently in Warsaw.. And I’ve never been to Europe. And Dane’s financial analysis of staying in Krakow for one month, in a air bnb showed me the true cost of living in Poland.
Thank you, Dane
Why do I watch?
You both look awesome in your shades! Lol!😎
Thats amazing to hear, thanks for the feedback! We're happy you're staying in Krakow, we hope you bond with it as much as we did.
Just discovered you guys. Really enjoy your personalities and enjoyed your day in the life video... more like that please
Great feedback, thanks Amy! Decided we will do a DITL video in each location where we settle and have a slower routine.
It's probably your friendly and happy faces, the way you talk to the camera matters too. I love travel channels by Mark Wiens, Mikey Chen's Strictly Dumpling and The Food Ranger, probably coz of their friendly, humble, honest relatable faces too. :D
I'd love more food videos... Weird local food would be great! Keep up the good work! Greetings from Penang, Malaysia.
Ah thank you, happy to hear we come across as humble. We do need to do more food videos! Thanks for the reminder.
20K Wow you guys that's a huge amount of SUBS !!.you guys SKYROCKETED so quickly!!. Congratulations!! Gotta get the extra Push for the SILVER PLAY BUTTON!! All the way up guys!!. You got this! 👌👏💪💪
Would be so proud to have a silver play button!!! Thanks Mark, means a lot to have you on board.
Whoa great Video clips.
Thanks Victoria :)
You two inspired me to join the UA-cam community, and build up to the dream of following in your travel footsteps. Keep up the incredible content. Thanks a million!!
Pleased to hear - good luck with your travels and channel!
Also my kids (7 and 9 years old) love watching too, you've opened their minds about traveling and got them excited about being world schooled and traveling full time ;)
Keep it up guys, NZ is a great place to come back to and retire but there's plenty of time for adventuring till then!
Just came across your channel - hello from New Zealand. Will be watching some of your older videos and quietly follow along your journey :)
Always stoked to have some Kiwis following us (not many do), especially other Kiwi UA-camrs! Glad you found us. We checked out your channel trailer, love what you're doing - keep killing it.
I'm surprise more kiwi's aren't following you! It's really great to see how well you're doing😀
Ah thanks so much 😀
Big up for answering all my questions ha, love to stir it up.
Daniel Niblett , well said!
New Subscriber from Trinidad and Tobago!
Hey Danielle! Thanks for the sub and saying hey!
Great Videos. Very helpful if you traveling.
It's a small community for sure! Cheers mate - appreciate all your comments
I just stumbled on your channel from Instagram! From the rave reviews I'm seeing in these comments I can't wait to check out your travel vlogs. - New fan
Glad you made the jump over Sara, thanks for giving us a chance!
I like getting inspiration and information from your videos because I plan to join the lifestyle soon! I like day in the life videos, just generally seeing what you guys do in a day, both travel days and regular days with prices! Love your channel!
Thanks so much - great feedback for us!!
Y'all are awesome! Keep it going! And definitely hope to be joining the ranks of Full-Time Traveler this coming year 🙌🏽
Thanks Adrian! Hope you can hit the travels as well
Great Q&A video guys!
Thanks for the video! I watch you guys for insight so I can make my travel vlog better! 😁
Stoked - hope we can share some good details with ya!
That’s awesome whanau!!
Kia Ora Richard!
You guys get me so pumped to make travel content! Awesome awesome stuff!

Hey guys, really like your channel! If you come to BG this year would be cool to meet with you!
Thanks so much! Haha we're not sure what BG is?
very nice videos :) you guys are so genuine and humble ..
Thank you :)
Greece?!! You two are in for a treat ;)
Yup - going there for a wedding. I've been before (Dane) but Stace is so excited to see it!
Amy - thank you! We'll keep doing what we're doing. Hope your travels are going well.
Yep .cheers
Thank you very much for sharing your amazing adventures.....
Thanks for all your comments Lenny!
Your editing skills are top notch ;)
As far as what we want to see more of? Keep doing what you're doing. You have a formula that works really well and engages your audience for the full video which isn't an easy thing to do.
Really stoked to hear we could help with your Hoi An research! What an awesome place. Glad to hear we kept you interested even after the research was done. We'll keep doing what we're doing and hope that everyone keeps digging it - thanks guys! Happy travels
Would love to see more travel hacks, tips and tools when it comes to flights, accommodations, transportation, etc.
That’s a good point - something we’ve been thinking about for some time now
Why do we watch your channel??
Thanks for sharing your lives with us 🤗 x
Oh and thaaaanks for the wee shout out 💕
Thanks Keri!
We will catch YOU in the comments team 😉 and hope to catch you both for some beersies at some stage on worldly travels.
