Had first go in ages with a Dremel yesterday - and had started to think the inner whorls were not preserved - and then voila ! And like you said , it was a feeling rather than any sight . Remarkable when the ribs start showing !
Merry Christmas. Another beauty, just shy of being perfect. I think the ammonite stands out with the paraloid and even though that might not look natural, with this one I think it works.
I prefer marble wax or beeswax on pale limestone, reserving B72 for stabilising pyritic ammonites. I have a couple of Junction Bed (can't get used to calling it the Beacon Limestone Formation!) Hildis, but think they look better from the Yorkshire Upper Lias. Whereas I think Somerset Harpos look better than the Yorkshire ones.
I like the darker shell normally however I think this looks more complete at first glance without ❤
I think the paraloid would be better. Also, Merry Christmas and Happy Hollandaise!

And then the very next video I watch (from Yorkshire Fossils) had a beautiful Yorkshire Harpoceras, which made me doubt my previous stance! :D
