I live in a senior retirement center and I bought 10 tea cups at Goodwill and organized a crafting party. We had a glorious time! Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!

I had a 2 cup and saucers that were my husbands mums very sentimental to him and when I showed him your pin cushion he said I could his mums little one so I have done it with old tights just need to glue it all now and put some beads on it the other tea cup is larger so I have put a plant in it they both look great thanks for all your great ideas love them and always watching

Instead of gluing it in, leave it removable ad you can store little things in the cup: safety pins, bobbins, findings.

thank you so Much for this tutorial!!! my mother has a large collection of tea sets & I'm always looking for "tea themed" gifts. she also sews, so I think I will take one of my old teacups (& a saucer) to make this pin cushion for her...she will love it!!

For a very cheap (almost free except you had to buy the pillow at some point) wadding filler, you can use an old pillow. Just keep one that's outlived it's usefulness, scrap the outer bit as that's what you drool on, and use the innermost bits for stuffing. Matter of fact, if it's your cushion and your pillow, it doesn't matter what bits you use. Also, no one is going to lick a pin cushion, or chew the wadding ... so even the drooly bits can be used if it's yours.
Also, if you use a bit of fluff just below the fabric and then stuff the rest with steel wool, that wool will help to keep your pins sharp every time you stick a pin in the cushion.

This is incredibly cute, I love it! I don’t think hot glue will keep it stuck for the long run. The glue will come loose from the glass.

Is this the dark flying saucer so the drawing pin on the bigger side can hide in the saucer so the sharp pin can go down and touch the floor
To remove unwanted glue: use hot tip of the glue gun to reheat it and then wipe it off.
I have an idea do the same as this but use solid brown fabric in the cup and then make some small marshmallows using white fabric and stuffing then stick them next to the cup
