It's almost like he didn't want to be successful. He just wanted to make beats. But he wanted the money success brings. Dilla Time is one of the best books I've read on a musician I ever read and I've read more than a few
🗣 I remember around early 1999 hearing *Players* by Slum Village for the first time that Dilla beat with wordplay was a much needed breath of fresh air! 💯🎙🔥
I get happy over how, no matter what, T3 is still going strong, goes for RJ too. They came to my country Bulgaria this year and it was the best thing ever!
Love! love!! Slum, amazing emcees and Production, that did like Bobby Brown An teddy Riley changed the Music into what it still should have been. Miss Batten and Jay Dilla 👌
@@linoderond5898 OK I never googled it or anything. I just remember him being in the group and the last time I heard him spit was on that Masta Ace album
If yu dont knw about slum village the other half of tribe called quest ....i was jus listening to tainted 💯 RIP J.DILLA ONE OF THE BEST BEATMAKER EVA 💯
You come off as illiterate and saying Slum rapped about the same sht as Tribe is off. Dilla's lyrics alone (trucks, chains, broads, etc.) show you how completely incorrect your assessment is. I question if you were outside in the 90s.
The book "Dilla Time" has me like how ppl dealt with him .... dope talent but man he was a tough dude to handle
That’s what I’ve always heard alot of the dopest producers can be like that
As T3 seemed to mean - in retrospect he had good reasons to be this way.
