Who is the cat with T3? I'm playing, but on the real, Slum Village was Jay Dee & Baatin, and T3 was the Vinnie of the group (a la Naughty By Nature). I actually don't like that he keeps pushing the name. I don't know if he originally concocted the group and came up with the name or what, but he needs to let them/it rest in peace and go start something new. There is no slum village with out the main producer and the best rhymer in the group. And I mean that in the most respectful way ever. It's like Jarobi trying to keep A Tribe Called Quest going by himself with some new cats. Can't work. Someone needs to tell T3. And the proof is in the pudding. Should he and R.J. come out under a new name, how well do you think they'd do? My point exactly.
Fam!! You don’t know what you’re talking about. Your take is super duper corny!! 1) T3 is one of the founders of the group, he has as much right to the name and legacy as anyone else. He wrote all those dope ass hooks the world loves. 2) Slum Village biggest hits came under his guidance. 3) I’ve never heard Jarobi rhyme on any classic Tribe. T3 is on every Slum classic. He wrote and writes hit records with and without all your favorite members of the group. T3 is the special sauce in Slum which is why it still works. The new album F.U.N is 🔥
@@governorslugwellhiphop9476 Stop getting emotional bruh. Nobody said he wasn't a founding member, but there is a reason people stopped talking about Slum Village after Jay Dee and Baatin left the group. Most people that bought Fantastic Vol. 2 never knew they even made that new album you talking about. Again, if he's such a vital part of the group, he should've just went under his own name and seen how many fans he gets after that. And for the record Jarobi just rhymed on Tribe's Final album which is arguably a classic for the fact that it even exists and sounded so dope. And for the record also, I'd rather hear a JAROBI Tribe record than a T3 & R.J. Slum Record. And again, that's no disrespeck, it's my opinion, but it holds weight in fact. 🤨
@@BlackTyeChi bruh the best rhymer was Elzhi btw, Baatin was dope too but you can't deny L wasn't on another level. Nobody really talk about him nowadays
T3 is severely UNDERRATED. Great wroter and thinker over beats. Great to see him on. RIP Dilla RIP Baatin.
