Great video, very informative. I like seeing a bit of the history about the wheel as well. My last 2 sets of wheels have been VS-XX, but I am leaning to a 10-spoke design, in particular the Advan RS-DF Progressive.

Yes, they do provide some spacing for that. Just know that some offsets / widths have a lot less of the relief space depth.

What car and how many pistons on the caliper?
Great videos Peter. I noticed many after market wheels are installed without center caps. Does this cause issues down the road? Anyone?
You have to buy the caps separately. That's like another $100 on top of the wheels...

@@PickleballDude82 well it is a price issue when they nickel and dime you at those prices...
As usual, the answer is, 'Because Racecar'... People pull the center caps so they dont melt away on track days. Most plastic ones have this issue. Aluminum ones (Motegi's come with aluminum center caps) dont have this issue. And like anything else.. what works, or what's cool, on the track trickles down to the street.
Won't cause any issues except possible corrosion. I know inside the hub on some axle nuts etc they are prone to rust but regular maintenance or blasting something inside there to prevent the rust helps.
Lots of performance orientated wheels now are made which are specialized to not fit center caps at all. Often times, track driven vehicles I recommend removing center caps since lots fly off on our local circuit when the wheels get heated up or plastic ones can melt.
Any of volk's "SL" lines cannot fit center caps.
They look almost exactly like the Advan RZ II which I already have.
They look similar. The Advan center cut is definitely more gradual than the ones on here, here it looks like the bottom of a cup cut out of the center. Also additional holes in the middle. Also where the spoke meets the edge, on the Advan it almost goes to the very outer lip. On the ZR10 it ends on the inner lip. RZII is also asymmetric spokes, so all 10 spokes are not uniform where as on the ZR10 it is.

Is there really a 8 to 10 month wait? I don't think I could spend $2500 and have to wait almost a year, it would kill me.
Look around for local dealers, you might get lucky and find a set. I found a shop that had a few sets in stock that were just sitting. I managed to nab it for $2150
