This is so adorable! I'm on student exchange in Germany, and I really don't know why Germans have a reputation for being humourless. They're quite witty. I love this!
I have a degree in German literature and have studied all periods of it from the Baroque period (when the language was still in flux) to the present, and throughout history, there have not been many humorous writers in Germany. The few that existed were Jewish and they did not remain. Germans do have their own sense of humor (and I am mostly German heritage), but it is usually rather lame, compared to other cultures, such as the English. They are slowly beginning to catch up, however, but this is only fairly recently. My German relatives have no sense of humor at all.

This guy is great, but I'm pretty sure this is an English audience, not an American audience. Everybody who shouts out from the audience has an English accent. We would like to have Manuel in the States, though!
the laughs in the beginning sound so staged, i thought i was watching seinfeld for a second. anywho, not my type of humour. way too flat. And don't you think it's weird to post a video of yourself claiming to "rock the audience". I mean, be a little more humble, even if you did get good reactions on this one. That's what we serve at comedy shows in germany and it is included in the ticket price. Otherwise, they'd never laugh, because, you know, germans just aren't funny.

I come from a German family, and we are always joking and laughing. The idea that German people have no sense of humour is based on ignorance, generalisation and bigotry. It's the same as saying all Frenchmen wear a beret, and cycle everywhere with garlic hanging below their cravats, or all Irishmen are alcoholics. Well, perhaps that last one is true (only kidding, I think).

Ich fand den Auftritt sehr gelungen und witzig. Wir Deutsche haben im Ausland ja noch immer das Vorurteil anhängen, dass wir keinen Humor hätten. Gerade deswegen ist ein Auftritt eines deutschen Comedian vor einem amerikanischen und britischen Publikum besonders spannend. Die kleinen sprachlichen Unsicherheiten bei dem Auftritt sind geschickt, sie machen das Setup noch authentischer. Auch die Interaktion mit dem Publikum war gut dosiert und richtig platziert.
der typ von big bang redet im original ziemlich normales Englisch. Nur in der deutschen Synchro hat er einen starken Accent, "Ranjid" ähnlich... wwollte ich nur mal sagen :) schönes Video!!

Small audience close to the stage somehow always has them laughing hysterically at anything. People shout things up at performer and we all feel closer and bonded together. Comedy gives the impression of being funnier than it actually is.
Its quite clear from your comments that you cant really take criticism, I wish you lots of success, but the more successful you become, the more criticism you will have to put up with up, from people who just dont share your humour and for some reason feel they have to tell you that to trolls and a**holes on the internet - and even in person - who will be cruel and mean. Very funny. I do the same stuff. I am a german teacher for adults. The important thing is: Find crazy stuff from germany... and they will laugh. Find crazy stuff from their home country... and they will also laugh. The cardboard heart was really strange. Do you really got that from O2? No, those are americans and brits who have lived several years in germany mostly, they are accustomed to the accent. And in general, people are above simply laughing about foreigners' accents. The audience is not stupid, they find it funny, many people on youtube finde it funny. If you don't think it is funny, fine, then say "I don't think it is funny" if you absolutely have to, but don't say "it isn't funny", because that makes you and idiot or worse.

Ich bin von O2 weg gegangen. Nicht nur wegen einem Fake-Lebkuchenherz.
Warum denn?
Wir (ich und meine Familie) hatten einen ganzen Monat lang kein W-Lan und mussten drei mal beim Kundencenter anrufen, bis wir überhaupt eine Antwort erhalten haben. Das Fake-Lebkuchenherz war nur die Spitze des Eisbergs.
PS: Echt klasse auftritt! Einfach grandios.
Ella Alexander dreimal(???) beim kundencenter von O2 angerufen und tatsächlich ne ANTWORT bekommen.bis wir w-lan hatten,hat die TELEKOM ein dreiviertel JAHR gebraucht.zwischendurch hatten wir 4-7 sogenannte "techniker"im und vorm haus.jahrelang vorher hatten wir änliches rumtelefonieren bei debitel.am besten,man fährt sofort selbst mit´m auto vor ort und schlägt direkt KRACH !!!!! =)

Ella Alexander debitel hab ich gewechselt.da ich "damals"heftig lange arbeiten mußte und tagsüber keinen von der tkom(außer übers handy anrufen WOLLTE/zu teuer)isses bei der tkom geblieben.alle anderen anbieter laufen sowieso übers telekomkabel(ausser "kabel deutschland"),was es bei uns nicht gibt.

I come from a German family, and we are always joking and laughing. The idea that German people have no sense of humour is based on ignorance, generalisation and bigotry. It's the same as saying all Frenchmen wear a beret, and cycle everywhere with garlic hanging below their cravats, or all Irishmen are alcoholics. Well, perhaps that last one is true (only kidding, I think).
But saing "that's not true, I am german and I am funny!" kind of proves the point, doesn't it?

Ich fand den Auftritt sehr gelungen und witzig. Wir Deutsche haben im Ausland ja noch immer das Vorurteil anhängen, dass wir keinen Humor hätten. Gerade deswegen ist ein Auftritt eines deutschen Comedian vor einem amerikanischen und britischen Publikum besonders spannend. Die kleinen sprachlichen Unsicherheiten bei dem Auftritt sind geschickt, sie machen das Setup noch authentischer. Auch die Interaktion mit dem Publikum war gut dosiert und richtig platziert.

Small audience close to the stage somehow always has them laughing hysterically at anything. People shout things up at performer and we all feel closer and bonded together. Comedy gives the impression of being funnier than it actually is.

Its quite clear from your comments that you cant really take criticism, I wish you lots of success, but the more successful you become, the more criticism you will have to put up with up, from people who just dont share your humour and for some reason feel they have to tell you that to trolls and a**holes on the internet - and even in person - who will be cruel and mean. Very funny. I do the same stuff. I am a german teacher for adults. The important thing is: Find crazy stuff from germany... and they will laugh. Find crazy stuff from their home country... and they will also laugh. The cardboard heart was really strange. Do you really got that from O2? The tiger in the tank maybe was a little bit too much... poor baby tigers ,-). And the travelpussy was awesome. Never found that in America. Go on! Why am I writing in English anyway? Super Show!!

i was drinkin Martini Prosecco out of the bottle whilst i was watching this video and this is a true story @ around 03:20 i had a mouthful of Martini and when he said the thing about the toilet paper i burst out laughin' and the Martini came out of my nose. i had to pause the video though 'cos it didn't feel nice havin Martini comin' outta my nose but it was a good laugh.

He's very rude in what he says and how he brings it forth. It's not typical for German humor, even a lot of Germans simply can't stand him, albeit he's quite successful. He's just a witless squaller, to put it plain. There's some really good humorists in Germany, but he sure does not number among them. He's not a worthy poster child for Germans. No, those are americans and brits who have lived several years in germany mostly, they are accustomed to the accent. And in general, people are above simply laughing about foreigners' accents. The audience is not stupid, they find it funny, many people on youtube finde it funny. If you don't think it is funny, fine, then say "I don't think it is funny" if you absolutely have to, but don't say "it isn't funny", because that makes you and idiot or worse.
I'm terribly sorry, that you didn'T enjoy the video and felt the urge to write "not funny" under the video, as if it is a fact and not opinion, if something is funny or not and as if all the people who enjoyed this video, are idiots.
