I just beat this dude tonight. After the 3rd transformation I thought it was over and put the controller down. Then holy crap there's a 4th time you have to fight him. My heart was beating so damn fast but it was amazing when it was over.
Imagine how I felt when, due to a bug, Vahram became invisible through the whole 4th part of the fight, on immortal difficulty. I have no idea how I still managed to beat him on that same try lol
This game was awesome, and everyone that is talking shit about it didnt play the game obviously and are going strictly based off how it looks initially because its not 3D. Dont buy into any of that, i hughly recommend the game, if you love puzzles and strategic platforming this is the game for you just like all other PoP games, it holds to its previous titles to all those lames that keep saying they shouldnt of called this prince of persia

My only problem with the game's story are the inconsistencies and plot points that are only explained thru lore and not story itself. I understand that the 3 princes is not the main story. The main story is about Thomyris, vahram, king darius and the simurgh. Cool except if you just play the game to beat it and not explore, that line at the end "a triumph worthy of a king" would not have deeper meaning. Without exploring, Ghassan removing his crown wouldn't come off as knowing he isn't even her son, there's a cutscene where ghassan states that "she wasn't very motherly" but no cut scene about learning that her real child was sargon. King Darrius saying "I smell the blood of traitor" would have no deeper meaning without exploring. I will say that the game lends it self to easy exploration, and if you don't read the lore then it's on you but the ending should have had a bigger point on that. The ending should've mentioned the exhiled doctor or other injustices that Thomyris had done, or Ghassan could've gave the crown to Sargon and called him the real ghassan or prince, even if sargon refuses claim to a tainted throne. Besides that, where was Radjen? If you go back in time, why is Orod, and Menolias still dead? What happened to Neith and Atraban with Vahram, are they alive and just walking around with a back-to-the-future Varham?
I'm super glad that i didn't see anything of this game until a few days before release and i just finished it on Switch. It took me a bit over 30 hours for my first playthough with something over 90% completion and i had a blast. I haven't played many Ubisoft games over the last years (because of uPlay account shennanigans and launcher - but that's a personal thing). So yeah, glad that i grew up with the Prince of Persia franchise and that Ubisoft made a pretty cool metroidvania out of it ❤
Such a superb game, i"ve been playing it everyday the journey was so engaging a mix of great combat and puzzle solving, i recommanded it to every gamer. WELL DONE UBISOFT 👏

I dunno what everyone is up and arms by saying this isn't a PoP game. The 2D side scrolling definitely sticks to its original form imo. Being a metroidvania, arguably a route 2D sidescrollers often take, it just fits. It's as if everyone is looking for God of War.

This is as of 2/17/24 so maybe in the future they will add stuff but as of now nothing like that or new game plus or anything. Unless it's in some hidden area that I'm not aware of but I doubt it.

Even as we defeat Vahram, the void has still started and he reached his goals, no? 3. The music sounds so evil I thought he betrayed Sargon once more

It's total nonsense compared to the Sands of Time trilogy. No dark ambient, no epic soundrack, no 3rd person camera, it's just a totally different game. Should've gone with a different name.

Even the 2008 reboot was better than this edit: I played the game. yeah, it was pretty good. I judged it too quickly but it takes elements from classic PoP with a graphic style of Sands of Time. Very cool.

Not only was it a good game and will sell more because it has POP in it's name but also because if they make good games like this within the POP franchise it will encourage people to play future POP games as they would have more trust in the developers making a good game . You have to look at the big picture here . It is hard to trust Ubisoft for obvious reasons but they nailed this one out of the park .

Why are almost everyone bigger than Sargon?
The bigger the boss, the easier it is to read its attacks, which is why games make humanoid bosses a little bigger than your character
