Melody Pond- River Song- Carol Flood
If they ever brought River back then
1. It would be Alex
2. It would be a moffat episode
@@jordanmcculloch1169 or maybe the river went rouge
I like the theory, but it's near impossible, River die with no Regenerations. It would have to be before, and that doesn't line up. Never say never, but very unlikely
Im just surprised River still never figured out how to break out of the library. I think she’ll be back eventually.
@@CandygramMongoshe did...I can't remember the episode but she appeared and said that she wasn't really here, but projecting herself from the library.
Why has everyone forgotten that the Doctor spent a very long night with River (24 years together, did they just hold hands? That would make for a long & wasted final date). I do not think Mrs Flood is Susan, the grand-daughter, but the Doctors actual daughter as hinted at during his conversation with Kate.
I was thinking about that final night, too. It’s hard to imagine the Doctor leaving River’s body until he was sure she hadn’t regenerated, so could she have given birth in some way without his knowing? How do Time Lords give birth? Hmm. It would be interesting to see what Russell might do with that.
@@constancecampbell4610well he definitely left before she regenerated, she had to go save 10 at the library
@@bennettnez4711 👍
Don't forget that River and The Doctor's timelines run in opposite directions.
It’s not her
From one Joe to another it’s lovely to see the community so hyped and you pumping out these theory vids.
Say what you will about everyone’s individual opinions but the sense of community if so lovely to see again.
Isis, whose tears flooded the Nile after Osiris was killed by Sutekh?....Mrs Flood.....just saying! I think she is another Osiran/God
They’re all dead though. Would LOVE a “you are not alone” for Sutekh
Finally, a theory that A. I haven't seen anywhere, and B. Draws on actual mythology rather than just previous who stuff... I like it.
Good one
@@JamesShipman-ef1tj maybe horus, or an aspect of horus, possibly the only one that can stop sutekh?
@JamesShipman-ef1tj where does it say that?
Mrs flood has been seen in filming for next season, so she must be someone important
Omg no wayyyy
@@lunaflower4507 I believe it was an episode in either the 50s or 60s, but i could be mistaken, But she was definitely seen on set and acting in an episode
@jordanmcculloch1169 that is epic so epic i mean you don't get someone like Anita Dobbson and not use her to the fullest
Yes she in America 40's/50's and the doctor is with the new companion met in Boom.
Question: Is she time traveling with the Doctor and the Tardis or by herself?
@willhamidi1618 or in her own tardis maybe who knows.
Poor ruby’s mother everyone’s asking who is she ? and not how is she ? 😢😢
Mrs. Flood is a chameleon arched Susan. And between her first and second appearance in the first episode of the season she opens up her watch. Which explains why she warms up towards the end. Seeing the tardis disappear makes her curious about it and then she opens it up and at the end of the episode she knows all
Thank you!!! It’s Susan or a future or past companion only… who knows what is happening in her time :)
What about Clara Flood. When the Doctor defeats Suhtek, Mrs Flood exclaims “Clever boy, he did it. “ or something along those lines. She could be Clara - who walked along the Doctor’s timeline.
She also commented a tad uncaringly that the only reason someone died of an ulcer was becuase she wasnt looking. The Rani is a biologist. Looking after people's health would be childs play for her. But we've had Susan mentioned so damn much im betting either flood or the 'kind woman' is susan
You miss that the name Jinkx Monsoon means, if using synonyms, Curse Rain. Which obviously converts to something like Rani Curse, or Curse of the Rani. You said RTD likes to throw in easter eggs and it would be fitting if he directed everyone to Susan Twist's name, but the bigger secret is in a different actor's name. They did trail Jinkx Monsoon being cast quite early. I'm not sold on it, but it could be a plausible clue along with others pointing to Mrs Flood being a Time Lord.
Here are 10 theories I think you've missed:
1. River Song ( post-Forest of the Dead regeneration )
2. Romana
3. The Meddling Monk
4. The Valeyard
5. The Doctor's mother ( either the one from End of Time or the person who sent the Timeless Child into the portal to Gallifrey )
6. The Trickster
7. The Black Guardian
8. Jenny ( from The Doctor's Daughter )
9. Omega
10. Horus ( Sutekh's brother who imprisoned him originally )
Didn't River use up all her regenerations to save the 11th Doctor in Let's Kill Hitler? And the whole reason for her sacrifce in Forest of the Dead was that what the Doctor wanted to do to save everyone was so deadly that it would kill him totally, beyond even the capacity to regenerate.
I don't think the valeyard is a possibility really, I mean the valeyard was one specific incarnation of the doctor amalgamated from his darker sides, so I don't think he could necessarily regenerate into someone else, plus not really a character we need to see again. He served his purpose I think. Other than that (and of course it's just my opinion) some really great theories out there, my personal favourite is that she is Romana
What if Mrs Flood is a Time Lord we haven’t seen yet, at least not on screen. She could be the Corsair. Sure, he was presumed dead, having his kidneys stolen by patchwork people in a bubble universe. But we know regenerating Time Lords can grow new kidneys (in undesirable colors). The Corsair is also the first Time Lord we learn about changing genders, so showing up as an old woman wouldn’t be surprising. And who else would benefit more from a great Flood than a pirate. I think we need to check Mrs Flood for tattoos.
What about one of Clara’s or Me’s companions.
Clara and Me had a Tardis as well.
Mrs flood treats Ruby, the sme way, The First Hartnell doctor treated Susan. Even the abrupt rudeness and distant yet alien like perspective
I don't think (ou maybe I hope not) Mrs Flood is Susan, but I have a strong feeling that we'll get to see Susan in this finale, hopefully played by Carole Ann Ford 😍 I'm more into the Rani theory.
I was thinking something similar! If you're gonna have Susan its GOT to be CAF!
Or, would RTD cast someone else in the role to create mystery around the character through the season and then reveal them to be disguised Susan who drops their disguise when they meet and so Carole Ann Ford only appears in the final episode and named in the closing credits? I think the Rani is more likely, but then that could also be a misdirect using the name Mrs Flood. I really have no idea.
Love your insights and videos.
Your output is out of this world.
Keep the amazing work
Mrs Flood has to be an important character, she could also be someone we don't know, not necessarily a character connected to the events of this season.
RTD said that Mrs Flool is a slow burn, if I remember correctly.
Whatever it is, Mrs Flood can't just be a nosy neighbour, she's broken the fourth part twice already it's too important a thing to have someone who's a nobody, it would be bad writing.
Thanks for the video. You are working hard on this! 👍
I think mrs flood is Clara because when the screen displayed SUTEKH it was in the Oswald font and in the legend of ruby sunday she wears a very similar outfit too clara...
She uses the term "clever boy"
I think she's the God of stories
We've had Goblins, a Bogeyman, Faeries, a forbidden forest, and Rogue fit the "prince at a ball" trope also talk of TV shows like Star Trek which are modern day stories.
Ruby could be Sutekh's opposite, goddess of birth/life. She's had adventures with babies at least twice now, she's come back from death.
And this leads me to thinking The Doctor is her Harbinger. He embodies life and rebirth, he saves people, he regenerates and he always introduces himself first before Ruby.
If I'm honest I don't think I'm anywhere close to right but I do enjoy making theories.
I love this so much, explains how she breaks the fourth wall a couple of times too
She's obviously Romana.
Romana or The Master (assuming Sacha Dhawan’s Master is from before Missy and that Mrs. Flood is a post Michelle Gomez Missy who is reformed and on the doctor’s side but still has a sassy bedside manner).
Also, despite anything that’s been revealed in universe or said by RTD or anyone, I still like the fan theory that Susan is the real timeless child and that the Doctor only claimed timeless child status to protect Susan, and when the former had a memory wipe Chameleon Arch style, they didn’t remember that they in fact were NOT the timeless child and that it was just a ruse.
It’s not that far fetched and can fit most of what we know.
Whoever it is it's worth considering the way she talks to Cherry.
its so gotta be a red herring tho, she never does anything outright antagonistic to her, maybe she just doesn't KNOW how to make a cup of tea...? 🤔
MY OTHER THEORY as I put a comment before about RUBY and Mrs FLOOD is that MRS FLOOD is like Guinan in STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION and can sense things but her humour is unusual ( scaring Cherry ) and she is watching RUBY for a reason
I think flood is Susan or somebody good and she knows that cherry is someone bad in hiding…
Theory: Mrs. Flood is a Time Lord is an incarnation of Ruby, who is also a Time Lord. I mean, regeneration is a hell of a growth spurt! And maybe it was an incarnation of Mrs. Flood who dropped Ruby/herself off with herself to be looked after -- maybe the mysterious woman who we think may be Ruby's mother is ALSO Mrs. Flood/Ruby -- dropping herself off with herself to watch after herself. OK. I'm done. (I prefer the Susan theory, actually, but this one is definitely timey-wimey.)
Everybody appears be forgetting about that tweet Russell put out oooo, a while ago now ' susan... Now whatever happened to her?????'
Could be significant…!🤔
There's one thing I'm not seeing mentioned anywhere...
Pyramids of Mars... sutekh
Waters of Mars...the flood
I'm not saying this link has any legs, the two stories don't connect on any way, but it's something, maybe.
BTW, I LOVE your videos. Hope your channel get bigger and bigger,
I kinda thought it might be the doctors mother. i'm sure he mentioned in one of the episodes that he was abandoned too like Ruby and never knew his mum. (or maybe even Jenny)
She's clearly rassilon. She's hiding. Wasn't on galifrey when it got chibnalled. Recognised the tardis and we've never seen rassilon make tea either.
I do like someone remembers rassilon could still be out there somewhere
While Rassilon is definitely out there, I feel like they wouldn't be able to resist trying to throttle the Doctor as soon as she recognised him if they were Mrs Flood . Rassilon doesn't strike me as the type to forgive being deposed.
With RTD's drive to canonize everything, that would include "Dimensions In Time", so it's obvious.
Mrs. Flood is Angie Watts.
You're saying EE takes place in the Dr Who Universe ?
If Mrs Flood is Susan all hell will break loose....it HAS to be Carole Ann Ford or nothing. As there have been pictures of Mrs Flood( or at least... Anita Dobson) in Series 2 she is clearly a mystery yet to be solved.
Both could technically be true. Carole Ann Ford could reprise the role as the Susan we know (e.g. in the Memory TARDIS we know is in the finale), while Anita Dobson could be Susan as she is now, having regenerated and hidden herself away. I'm not necessarily on the Mrs Flood = Susan train, just saying it wouldn't have to preclude Carole Ann.
Mancunian not Manchurian 😂
I came here to say that 😂
Now now, maybe she's a Manchurian (agent) Mancunian. lol
Mrs Flood is RTD.
Best Mrs flood first name:
Beforethe Flood
Rani or Susan
I’m almost CERTAIN Mrs Flood is the Master.
Knowing that RTD likes to revisit and canonize little weird bits I wouldn’t be surprised if after the tooth, the master was formless again like before the 96 movie. Them possessing her would explain how she suddenly changes character and is now “hiding herself away”
I know RTD lies, but in this situation I dont think he has. He has said he has not written the master in anything yet, And that was while he was writing season 2
In Saying that though, Mrs Flood has been seen in the filming for season 2, so it could still be possible
The problem with this theory is that the hand that took hold of the tooth had red nail polish while Mrs Flood doesn't use some.
Oooh, like the Derek Jacobi kindly professor character who became the decidedly unkind Master played by John Simm. Got chills on this one. 👍
@@Luke88888I can’t shake the idea that Jinx Monsoon was on the other end of that red fingernail. 🤷♀️
Mrs Flood... River? With a hologram disguise... reveal in the ep... the moff writes River and he's doing Joy to the world
Did anyone else notice how she went posh when she spoke to Cherry? She's been playing a character..... I think she has to be Susan. We don't actually know for sure she's bad yet and she's broken the fourth wall just like the Doctor has.
She didn't break it in this episode as some seem to think. She was looking at the storm.
@@flaggerify she did. She totally did.
@@Theplaysthet No she wasn't. She was looking at the storm. And she was talking to the granny. Unless the director was completely incompetent.
She wasn't even looking directly down the lens. People look at me like that when they are staring at my chin.
Everyone seems to forget at the start of the series in Space Babies the Rani is mentioned but so is the Bishop and the Conquistador (one who conquers), the Pedant (Pedantic teacher) and the Sagi-Shi (someone who cons or tricks). Why did Russell name drop these at the start of the season? Seems like he doesn’t have these details in for no reason. They haven’t been mentioned since the first episode as well almost long enough for viewers to forget 🤔
@tomarhawk She was also supposed to be namedropped by Mel in the Giggle just before the Doctor bigenerates. It was cut because it felt a bit clunky, but it's still in the shooting script.
@@TheRantingCynic yes I had seen this quite interesting they left it out. Part of me hopes it is her but also interesting these others are mentioned so if she’s not one of those time lords/ladies then hopefully we will see them in future episodes
To throw us off the scent of Romana.
Someone never mentioned by theorists is Rassilon. He was banished from Galifrey and probably escape the massacre of the timelords. Rassilon is also power hungry and has a grudge against the Doctor.
Personally I think ms flood is the doctors true mother from the portal, the way she calls the doctor good boy, it gives off paternal relationship
She said 'clever boy', and is wearing Clara's outfit...
@@amygarman2247 and that makes no sense
Mrs Flood has been functioning as a classic Greek chorus this season, making comments and announcements to us, the audience. And not just when she's looking at the camera. For instance in Legend she says to Cherry "Well we'd all like a lot of things...that aren't going to happen." That's RTD talking to us the audience about all the theories and expectations. I still believe she's tied to Susan Foreman, but I suspect we won't see how until Christmas or next season.
The wait is killing me!
For how Susan becomes Mrs Flood, Daleks went after every Time Lord in Time War, so she could have used chameleon arch to hide back then. But there are strong arguments against that. 1 - if she was still a hidden Time Lady, she wouldn’t know about TARDISes, so would not have made the comment at the end of Church on Ruby Road. 2 - is she had learned her true identity as Susan again, why would she not have revealed herself to the Doctor. BUT, if she is Susan, I hope we see Carole Ann Ford again, like in Night of the Doctor, regenerating into Mrs Flood.
In answer to 1, she would if she'd opened the Chameleon Arch between scenes.
Mrs Flood is most likely the master due to her having the golden tooth from the giggle along to the similar nail polish that the women's hand had in the end of the giggle special. As the master was trapped in the golden tooth. Could be that she is free as she knows most of the pantheon. As well as storm down the pearly gates.
It's never really mentioned how much Mrs Flood changes in that 1st episode, from 1st appearance to the last she changes. There is a lot of long running time travel changes/consequences in this series (Mavity is still a thing)
If you look at the way Russell T Davis brings back villains they are all in order of when they appeared in the classic series eg. Daleks, Cybermen, Master, Davros, Sutekh which would indicate the next series villain maybe the Rani e.g. Mrs Flood
Maybe, but the first ones he brought back were actually the autons. There's a few smaller returning ones in the RTD era too, like the macra in s3
@@ivymoon5084 yes true.
Mrs Flood has bit of evil in her can’t see it been Susan more like the Rani imo
Does she, though? The ominous thing could be another red herring.
Maybe it sounded more sinister than it actually is.
Mrs flood played by anita dobson who played landlady of queen vic the rani disguised her tardis as the queen vic in dimenions in time
The thing about the TARDIS theory is that people lean on "The Doctor's Wife" as precident for the TARDIS Matrix existing within a human body, but this ignores a very key plot point; that within hours that body failed, explicitly because she was housing the TARDIS Matrix, at bare minimum Mrs Flood has been around for a few months, based on her interaction with her neighbours, we can presume she's been living there for years, if she was the TARDIS, she'd have died within a day.
If RTD is bringing Susan back, it has to be Carole Ann Ford. I suspect we won't find out who Mrs Glood is till Season 2.
I was thinking that she could be a time shadow conglomerate of every companion the Doctor has had. Also thought it might be fun if she turns into the first Weeping Angel. Lots of grey tones in her appearances.
Rain - a storm is coming.
Tec(h)teun?
Or a Sister of Karn, whose role as keepers of the sacred flame and it's by-product the Elixir of Life would put them very much on Sutekh's hit list - their origins as servants of a pre-web of time, pre Time lord magical ruler of Gallifrey The Pythia would make them suited to this era
Probably making a big stretch at this but isn’t a fordis a shallow place with good footing where a river or stream. And a Forman is a keeper of a ford. So at a stretch you could make it fit with flood but I dont know just excited to see it all unfold x
You know how in the legend of ruby Sunday the doctor says he hasn’t had kids yet (timey wimey) what if mrs flood is one of the doctor’s future kids or ex wife?
The Doctor has had a companion who is supposedly his granddaughter. There was The doctor' Daughter. He has stated that he was a parent long time ago. Can't see how to reconcile this.
It's possible, of course, that Susan Foreman was his legitimate granddaughter, but her mother (the Doctor's daughter) hasn't been born yet.
I always thought the whirrling violin music they used was just for the master but I heard it a few times in this episode. Including when Mrs flood said he is returning. 🧐
5:37 he also said that susan twist was unimportant
In an obviously joking way
RTD doesn't do coincidences. But he does like his herrings red.
Its her from East Enders silly...lol
9:31 they likely wouldn't share an accent if she was estranged as a baby.
Not defending the theory, just questioning the logic.
Yeah, accent is nurture not nature, it's how you pronounce words, which i is rooted in how you learned to speak, which is by copying those around you, it's noting to do with your parantage if they weren't the ones raising you.
@@medafan53 Indeed.
Susan has been mentioned, but also mentioned that the Doctor had a granddaughter before he had a daughter, what if Mrs Flood is River's daughter? potentially Susan's mother
Taking that to an even wilder theory... what if it's Ruby who is the doctors daughter and Mrs. Flood is Susan who is watching over her own mother
I know someone has already mentioned Clara and in another video I saw there were pictures of Clara and Mrs Flood wearing exactly the same clothes. Worth considering and certainly a possibility.
For it to be Susan, she would need to find a way back in time from the late-22nd century first.
There's plenty of cheap and nasty time travel out there. Plus if you take BF into consideration, we know Susan was involved in the Time War; I could imagine her either getting a TARDIS of her own, or getting dropped back in the wrong time period.
Obviously she's the wife of Mr Flood
You say she isn’t very nice to Ruby but they’ve literally made a point of making Mrs. Flood not nice to basically anyone except Ruby.
As for the Susan theory, I think most people would be annoyed if they recast Susan while Carol Anne Ford would still happily play her character.
Mrs Flood may be named for Gerald Flood who voiced Kamelion during the 5th doctor's run
A chameleon arch turns a timelord into a human but also blocks thier knowledge, establishing an unaware personality.
Mrs Flood's front door color is very tardis like, perhaps residual knowlege like Mr Smiths book.
Perhaps seeing the tardis phase out was enough to unblock the knowledge?
Could Mrs Flood actually be a hiding Rassilon?🙃
Probably not... But.....
I mean, Rassilon is out there somewhere... 👀
That said, I can't help but think she wouldn't be able to resist immediately trying to chokeslam the Doctor as soon as she recognised him if she was Rassilon. Twelve really humiliated him.
Maybe Mrs Flood is a Timelord hiding out on Earth, in one of the older ‘DR Who’ stories (not sure if it was the Third or the Fourth Docter, but around that time), the Docter had a Timelord companion assign to him by the Council of Timelord for some mission who stayed on for some time after. I cannot remember her name (in the show) or the title of the episode.
Romana. She even wears the same fluffy white coat in one scene that she had in her first incarnation with the Doctor. She probably has a fob watch stashed in her room.
I think she's too sinister for Amy Pond, Melody Pond or River Song.
My bet is that she's the Rani = Mrs Flood = rain = Rani???
I bet an additional twist i.e. why she's been centred on the Sunday's = that Ruby is her granddaughter: making Ruby part human and part timelord?
Great videos and some really good theories. I hope Mrs Flood is not the Rani as the character is just the same as the Master, which had been done too many times in both classic and new Who - same as Daleks ...i'm still expecting them to show up in the Finale if not they'll probably appear in the Christmas episode. I'm hoping Mrs Flood is a new character which we will learn more about over time but i don't think we will find out her full story by the end of the Finale..
You missed an important possibility. The doctor's daughter Genny. She was from his DNA so she would be a time lord. She did not go through a normal regeneration process but she did cheat death. She fled in a spacecraft but even though she could not travel in time we don't really know the relative time in the episode " The doctor's Daughter ". It could very well have been our past and she made it to earth and has been here aging up.
A companion the doctor does not remember would be very interesting indeed... I love that concept!
Susan Flood. Sounds about right, and she has the right amount of seriousness and cheekiness to be the Doctor's granddaughter 😊 Just like Grampa!
She has to be something to do with Time. When she enters the flat in legend of ruby Sunday, the time flickers to 15:08 and they mention a storm coming. This is a full 65 minutes out of sync with the full episode, as Susan makes her speech at 15:00. That means the great tea denial and the breaking of the fourth wall all happen out of order with main episode. If Susan makes her speech at 15:00, Sutekh is shown shortly after. A full hour earlier, the time was shown as being off in the flat. She has an evil streak though…. So Rani would make sense.
Best way to get rid of sand is to wash it away with a flood..
My theory is Mrs Flood is either The Rani or Susan having hidden herself using a pocket watch but the pocket watch is so old it's cracked and leaking time lord memories back into her mind.
Mrs. Flood could be another daughter of Rory and Amy Pond that was born while they were in their new life in the past. Enough time could have passed that Mrs. Flood would be the right age. She would have grown up with her mother telling her stories of the Raggedy Man and his Box. She may have even spent time with her sister, River Song and learned a few Spoilers.
So many theories its getting beyond! I do think Mrs Flood could be Susan as she appears to be psychic.. and. Susan had the same abilities. I think Cherry is The Rani! And thats why Mrs flood ( Susan is keeping and eye on ther ) look i also have many other theriea 😂 like Kate or Mel is Rubys mother..... I just hope rhey reveal everthing in the final episode 🎉
I originally thought Kate was Ruby’s mom. If so I don’t think she realizes it - she has not indicated in any way that she thinks she’s connected to Ruby.
@@JulieAiken there read 2 instances I thought she could be because she seems to show she really cared for Ruby in 73 yards and also in The legend of Ruby Sunday when Ruby cried in the time window.. Kate looked like she was devastated for her and torn. I believe the father is the Master.. when he was Saxon the prime minister. Also could be Mel because Mel lost all her family and maybe she needed to give up the child to protect her. I hope this is all resolved by the finale 🤞
Iris Wildthyme or Hecuba.. Or she is the embodiment of the TARDIS.. she did refuse Cherry a Cuppa (...as if she was the TARDIS she had a coffee thrown on her and didn't want that again!)
I bet Mrs. Flood knows how to release the emergency brake on the Tardis.
I think she is Incensor, the god of disaster as she rolls a storm in as she says “a storm is coming in”
As the last episode is still in the future for me I'm going to share some theories I ran out of time for sharing before I find out if I'm right or wrong by watching it.
Floods- destruction so possibly part of a link to Sutekh's destructive forces. or re Nile etc can also bring fertility/life. Perhaps wash sand away/ refresh desert? (sand of desert is dried out so waters of life kinda link vs Sutekh's sandy death?)
Someone else commented is this relevant- Ruby- snowstorms (I thought she creates these from memory, also I wondered if any link to the snow in the place Christmas in Who lore), I also thought snow of fuzziness of video tape (maybe it came from that due to time window lol) and fuzziness of other things like 'mother' figure and distant woman in '73 Yards', Sutekh sandstorm, flood rainstorm?
I note that The Doctor has been called both the oncoming storm and the destroyer of worlds a few times, so re this and also linking to the beast there could be a duality element at play of the good and bad in all of us - there are many hints this series of people being either nice or nasty and some flips of time happening, so what if we see different sides of key characters, cruel or kind, depending on which way the switches of time have been flipped at a particular moment. This could imply even where we don't see such flips maybe there is one, so maybe the cruel character in Dot and Bubble is only cruel because someone or something has flipped the switches, pulled different strings (puppetmaster clue of The Giggle and strings of various episodes) to manipulate them along that timeline thus that outcome. think about the people rejecting Ruby for example (very much a SJA Trickster et al overlap too)
4 on blue door- Susan Foreman? Foreshadow?
'We'd all like a lot of things that aren't going to happen' HAS to be important and must surely tie into, as the Doctor has confirmed, time and memories changing. This is very games of the gods, Trickster and other characters like Trickster. Her grumpiness at this time could just be how the person is, could even just be negativity over what's happening, or we are seeing the cruel 'flip' here.
Before the flood, 4th wall breaks i've mentioned before also has fisher king linked to ghosts and ruby- bury, fisher king killed by flood is also a not very relevant unless it is viral species the flood in The Waters of Mars. I wonder if Ruby is ghost or linked to dead or looking after the dead. Mrs Flood may tie in to this if so.
She’s clearly the flood from waters of mars
My top theories are that she is either The Doctor's daughter with River Song(After all they did spend my years together before she died.), Susan(no need to explain), or maybe she is actually Jenny(Who is known to be The Doctor's daughter) It would be really cool to see her return as well.
The funny thing about RTD, he has people monitor the high traffic websites, so when the new episodes do air, he will apply a name that no one has guessed. Similar with picking the next doctor. Want them to have a chance, don't suggest them😂
Susan’s mom. He mentioned that he doesn’t have a daughter yet. He’s never met Susan’s mother, Susan is apparently from his personal future.
Alternate theory: Mrs. Flood is the goddess Isis. Set (Sutekh) killed her husband Osiris. Her tears FLOODED the Nile. She then HID AWAY until her son Horus came of age to defeat him.
Being Susan would be great. I'd love for them to talk about why Susan is, in fact, NOT their granddaughter, but if you take the idea that her timeline could have changed, who knows.
Can't wait also to see what happens to Scrappy Doo in the finale part 2 ❤
My theory: she's the meddling monk from really classic who.
In the last episode, the Doctor mentioned 1066 as one of the times he landed on Earth. If you look up 'Doctor Who 1066', you get the Meddling Monk episode.
In the most previous episode the monk appeared, he was stranded on an ice world. This could explain why the last time we saw Mrs Flood, she was in a sort of 'winter Mary Poppins'.
Just before she was hit with the dust of death, she mentioned having 'plans', I recently watched the meddling monk episode and he mentioned having helped create stone henge and wanting to help Harold Godwinson be king instead of William the Conqueror, so perhaps Mrs Flood's plans are something like that.
Finally, the Meddling Monk has a TARDIS, perhaps indicating why Mrs Flood knows what a TARDIS is.
I think Mrs Flood, is the Daughter of Amy Pond (or Riversong) ! It's something I can imagine Davis doing.
I think she is Susan. When in episode 2 the new doc referenced the junkyard and seemed a little uneasy about being there in the same general part of London in 1963.
She’s definitely a Timelord/lady as in the Legend of Ruby Sunday, the Doctor talks about reasons for regeneration and one reason is to hide. Then as Mrs Flood enters the flat she has a throw away line a few scenes later saying she’s been just hiding away.
Absolute terror????? Okay, this line got me.
Quite a curious situation: Why does Mrs. Flood dress so similarly to an iconic style associated with Clara Oswald - the white shirt underneath the light blue pullover? Could it be a deliberate misdirection? I’m aware that Clara is perpetually trapped in her final life frame, but occasionally they find a way to alter those supposedly ‘fixed’ elements.” 🤔🌟
Not that I think she's Clara, but it could work if she is one of the impossible girl Claras
But we already know what older Clara looks like from Last Christmas. The only way Mrs Flood is Clara is: Either Clara got the ability to regenerate or she’s regular post hell bent Clara wearing an elaborate disguise.
I don't think she's Clara, remember Oswin dressed like The Doctor.
After the nonsensical reveal around Ruby and her mum being 'ordinary' after Ruby can make it snow and the references to the Christmas carol, frankly I no longer care who Mrs Flood is...
The Toymaker and The Maestros both said they feared the one who hides.
Mrs Flood being a totally new character would be so boring. I want her to be someone we have already met.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the woman who left baby Ruby at the church turns out to be Carole Ann Ford…
We know a secret actor has been teased...
What's a Mancurian accent? I've heard of the Mancunian accent from Manchester.
I would love to see the Doctors Daughter (Georgia Tenant)!
mrs flood is the great integence every time u see that god its cold snowing or like snow spiders webs
JENNY the doctors daughter . they spoke of the grandaughter to hide the fact he has a daughter
Mrs Flood's manerisms- especially her tendancy to invade companions personal space, seemed very Susan-like. ...i wonder if she'd be upset that the Doctor broke his promice to return?
flood is another wrod for rain, the rani is an anogram of rain
Clara! Literally wearing the same clothes
Interesting. I haven’t seen this theory before. Clara did scatter herself across the Doctor’s timeline to always be there to save him…
@d8hole Except Clara is frozen in her last second of life (as the Doctor reiterates in the Giggle); she's taking the long way round looking like Jenna Coleman, to her death where she looks like Jenna Coleman.
Plus Mrs Flood says her mother died of an ulcer, whereas Clara's mother died in the Auton attack seen in "Rose".
